'West Bank U' a hot button    By Moran Zelikovich
1. Best of luck for the activists
TV   (05.04.05)
2. Tel Aviv University is the only university built on the ruin
Tel Aviv University is the only university built on the ruins of an Arab village, called Sheikh Munis. NOT EVEN ONE of the Jewish villages in Judea, Samaria and Gaza was built over the ruins of an Arab village, contrary to what many kibbutzim in the North, the pearl of these extreme-leftists can say, from Sasa on. The Ariel College was built on public land, NOT on privately owned land, CONTRARY to Tel Aviv University and Ramat Aviv... Funnily enough, those are the centers of Israel's extreme-left wing people. May be it is projection?...
HaDaR ,   Israel   (05.04.05)
3. Do you except international students?
We love Israel in China. I would like to come and study there. I am studying judaism. This is the most beutiful thing and also Hebrew. Shalom to you all in the Holy Land. Am Israel Hai!
Sun chui v chai ,   Chanhai, China   (05.04.05)
4. Hebrew U in Occupied East Jerusalem
Just a reminder... Hebrew University's Mount Scopus Campus is located in lands "occupied" in 1967... just a thought.
Avi ,   Petach Tikva, Israel   (05.04.05)
5. Mt. Scopus was always in Israeli hands
TAU however, as HaDaR, is built on the lands of Sheikh Munis. Who conquered Sheikh Munis? The Lehi! The Knesset is built where the villiage Sheikh Bader used to be. Who conquered Sheikh Bader? The Lehi.

6. Big whoop!
So they're changing the name from college to university...the protesters should try to make statement when it's more powerful.
Lila ,   USA   (05.04.05)
7. A rose by any other name
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. (Name of author unkonwn to me.)
Bunnie Meyer ,   Santa Monica, CA USA   (05.04.05)
8. The Pernicious Self Destructive Left
According to the radical and delusional left, 20 miles north of Tel Aviv, where Ariel is located, is considered "occupied" territory. Listen up you wackos - if you insist on denying Jewish claim to places like Ariel, Maaleh Adumim etc etc, then you might as well pack your bags and leave your homes in Tel Aviv, Haifa, Netanya etc etc. Don't you unrepentant leftists realize that this is EXACTLY what the Arabs want, to deligitimize ANY claim to the Jewish homeland? Perhaps my questions are rhetorical , and this is EXACTLY what you are after.
Adina Kutnicki ,   NJ, US   (05.05.05)
9. Shalom Sun chu - One of the posters
Shalom Sun chu v chai - You would be a nice addition to any university in Israel. Of course they have international students in all the universities. Check out Hebrew U, and if you are science oriented the Technion. You would be a better addition than some of the self hating Jewish wackos whose sole mission is to destroy Israel. Good luck!
