Instead of “significantly minimizing (terrorists’) ability to hit Israel’s civilian population” his government’s plan significantly increases it, as it will be easier for the terrorists to fire missiles, dig tunnels, and plan attacks, while it will be more costly when IDF members, possibly including the one you won’t attribute quotes to, have to go back into Gaza try to stop the missiles, tunnels and planned attacks.

According to the Israel army it is the Palestinians who are always whining and boasting and blaming those wonderful, pure, noble, honest and innocent Israelis for all their woes. Gaza is not occupied land. It used to belong to Egypt. It is conquered land. We are giving it to the palestinians because we have no vested interest to be there any longer. The westbank is another matter entirely. Final border status as far as the westbank is concerned is up for negotiation. Thats code for COMPROMISE. It does NOT mean that the palestinians get everything that they want by some or other default. It does however involve a bit of give and take. We are prepared to compromise but the palestinians must be prepared to do the same. We are giving up some of our demands - they need to do the same. Thats called compromise kids. Thats called negotiation.
