Arabs left behind    By Yaron Druckman
1. Facts On the Ground
A picture is worth a thousand words. Does ANYONE not really believe that most Arabs in Israel consider themselves "Palestinian" as opposed to Israeli? This is the growing reality of a mostly hostile segment of the country biding their time. It may not be PC to say so, but it is the reality.

2. Left Behind.
Israeli Arabs have become parasites on Israeli society. Why can't their women go to work like the Jewish women do? Perhaps that gives the Arab women more time to breed the next generation of welfare beneficiaries.

3. israel's mistake
i think israel is making a huge mistake by neglecting this sector of the population. you can start placing much of the blame squarely on the shoulders of the radical arab knesset members who represent the arabs. they are more interested in being obstructionists than getting support for funds their constituents.

4. Last paragraph is wrong
I don’t think that the last paragraph is right, in the Palestinian areas most of the young people finish their high school diploma, and much more (comparing to the Israeli Arabs ) study at universities.

5. Palestinians
Moral of the story = they should return to school, study more, read more, get off the streets, & stop throwing stones & rocks at the IDF & the wall.
Birdi ,   Israel   (07.10.05)
6. Back to school, Yaron!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your english is appalling. Ironic, when the aritcle is about education. Who edited this?!

7. They're only holding themselves back..
I can name a Racist and Discriminatory Policy of the Israeli State: Granting substantial special privileges to a certain group of people, just because they're Arab. From only having to pay 50% for University courses... to getting jobs specifically because they're Arab. Every Arab-Israeli has the same opportunities, and rights as Israeli Jews - and perhaps even more, as noted above - It is only them who are holding themselves back, which is especially true considering Israel's Politically Correct atmosphere - Ynet's a great example - who espouse an Israel with Arabs engulfing in every single tiny crack of Israeli Society. How about Arabs do what most people do: Go to school - Serve in the army - Don't get married at 20 - Don't have 14 children - and, GET A JOB. (Also, I wouldn't be so quick to regard the survey's figures as entirely accurate - taking into account that it was conducted by the Galilee Society)
