Whatever respect I had for Tony Blair, it is now gone. He fears the British public will blame him for the terrorist attacks because of his participation in the Iraq war, so what better way for him to shift the focus off of himself and scapegoat Israel. The fact is the Iraq war is turning out to be a disaster which has not reduced the threat of terrorism, and so rather then accept responsibility, both Blair and Bush look for scapegoats.
