The government flunkies that send money to fund terror don't want to see the dots, let alone join them.

4. CONNECTING THE DOTS
Claire Jackson ,   London, England   (07.18.05)
As a fair minded human being and regular reader of the Guardian as well as a fan of the the BBC I have for long accepted that that suicide bombers are heroes spawned by despair and poverty and that America's invasion of Iraq is the cause of all our problems. Ostroff's unemotional and credible article "Connecting the Dots" has made me see things in a different light and set me thinking that the picture is not quite as simple as painted by the media Let's have more credible well thought-out articles of this type Claire Jackson, London
5. RED HERRINGS
Jack Geijer ,   Angelholm, Sweden   (07.18.05)
Thank you. I've just learned a new expression. As I had never heard of a "red herring" before, I looked up its etymology and learned that it comes from fox hunting in which a red smoked herring, is dragged across the trail of the fox to throw the hounds off the scent. Thus, a "red herring" argument is one which distracts the audience from the issue in question through the introduction of an irrelevancy. An expression, very appropriately used in the article "Connecting the Dots". Jack Geijer Vegeholm, Angelholm, Sweden.

cher claire. All i can say is ,welcome to planet earth. Most of the people who rely on the media such as ,and especially the BBC,are now waking up and opening their eyes by them selves ,and are seeing these medias for who they really are. These suicide bombers are nothing but pawns on a chess board ,being manipulted by these islamic religious leaders, who are sitting confortably in their high chairs while these bombers are doing their dirty work. The BBC is known ,and has been, for a very long time, anti semitic in their views on Israel.Medias like the bbc only have one sided opinions,so no matter what is happening on the terrain they refuse to be objective, and that is why when we read an articale like that of Maurice Ostroff it opens our eyes ,a little more each time.these islamic fundementalists use the israelo pla conflict as their reason to murder and kill innocent men woman and children, not only western "infidels" but also their very own semblable "people".So you see these terrorists hate our way of life ,they hate our freedom and our democracy.because ,if they were living in such a society ,they would not have the same power over their people ,as they have now.and if they do not have this power ,the people will open their eyes to see and learn ,that to murder in the name of allah is wrong,so you see they have to ensure their strong hold ,with their use of violence. G-D bless and welcome to planet earth.

A friend in Britain recommended that I read this article and I am pleased I did. Especially since the events in London and Sharm, the writer's recommendation to connect the dots makes good sense. I am also pleased to be introduced to your very interetsing site.
