Jerusalem was NEVER the capital of any Arab or Muslim entity. JERUSALEM IS MENTIONED OVER 800 TIMES IN THE BIBLE, not once in the Koran. Around 1948, Arabs violently ETHNICALLY CLEANSED about one million Jews from Arab countries. Arab governments seized the land, homes, bank accounts, businesses and assets of the Jews. Most of the Jewish refugees fled to Israel. THERE MUST NOW BE A JUST SETTLEMENT FOR THE JEWISH REFUGEES AND THEIR DESCENDANTS- COMPENSATION IN LAND AND FINANCES. In 1922, Britain illegally gave MOST OF PALESTINE-80% TO THE ARABS. The area became Jordan, giving the Arabs an Arab Palestinian state on JEWISH land. IT WAS ETHNICALLY CLEANSED OF JEWS. This area is part of ancient, Biblical Israel, and along with present-day Israel, including Judea, Samaria, Gaza and the Golan was recognized by the League of Nations as the Jewish homeland. In 1948, Egypt invaded Gaza and ethnically cleansed ALL Jews. In 1948, Jordan invaded Judea-Samaria (West Bank) and east Jerusalem and ETHNICALLY CLEANSED ALL JEWS. Jordan, opposing G-D DESTROYED 58 synagogues in Jerusalem. In 1967 when Israel won Islam's religious war of aggression against it, Jews returned to the areas of their homeland they had been ethnically cleansed from for 19 years. Islamofascists DECEITFULLY call this return "occupation". Under international law, territories are considered "occupied" only when taken in an act of aggression which does not apply to Israel. Judea, Samaria and Gaza are not 'occupied territories' according to international law because they were not taken from any foreign sovereign. ALL of the Jewish land, homes, properties and businesses stolen from the Jews in the 1948 Islamic invasion must be returned to the Jews IMMEDIATELY.

On March 31, 1977, Dutch newspaper Trouw published an interview with PLO executive committee member Zahir Muhsein: “The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct “Palestinian people” to oppose Zionism. For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.”

All that is required of the Palestinian Authority by the U.S. is to say the right words in English! They are NOT required to keep a single agreement. They are not required to stop terror. (Hamas is on the U.S. list of terrorist groups) He has invited Hamas to join his government even though the Hamas charter calls on the destruction of Israel and the murder of Jews, while calling every Jew a Nazi. And he has invited all the Palestinian Arab terror leaders to move from Syria to Gaza after Israel leaves. "Not to mention that in the last three months almost half of the attacks and aborted attacks against Israel are from Fatah, the terrorist group Abbas heads. In the youth wing of Israel's prison system there are more than 130 young Palestinian terrorists, most of them from the Fatah group. Only this weekend 2 more Jews were murdered, and how does Abbas respond. Fourteen hours after the murder, he released a statement (he did not appear in person) saying, 'These attacks threaten our national security and undermine our credibility in the international arena.' Abbas didn't mention Hamas or Fatah and he didn't condemn the murders as immoral, only as counterproductive to the Palestinian cause. His official PA news service called the killers 'heroic martyrs' and referred to the murders as a resistance operation. And for all this, he earns praise from President Bush 's State Department. For Shame. This is a time to condemn and put pressure on Abbas, not to lavish praise on him..." It is horrifying and profoundly immoral that the U.S. regards Jewish lives as cheap. Jewish lives mean nothing to the U.S.

While the US holds up necessary military spare parts to choke Israel into doing things they want (pro Arab demands) Jones has the gall to say that relations betwen the two are at its highest? I suspect these career doublespeak diplomats think the rest of us are merely living in comatose states. Friends who twist the life out of you are not exactly friends. The only thing that keeps the relationship from going totally belly up is the US Congress. They at least hold the Arabist State Dept and often the Executive Branch to account. Thank heaven for their input.

I was one of those who, when Sharon began demonizing Arafat, said that if Israel refused to deal with Arafat, it would one day have to deal with Hamas. Well..... here we are. DO NOT FORGET: ARAFAT TOOK ON HAMAS AND ACTED AGAINST IT WITH ARMED FORCE AND ARRESTED AND IMPRISONED MANY HAMAS MEMBERS. So who would be better? Yasser Arafat or abu Quisling Abbas?
