1. WHY???
Eve ,   Israel   (08.18.05)
I feel for all the families on both sides Jewish and Palistinian ... I can not imagine what would make a man snap like this, you eat lunch with your friends and then you murder them??? SOmething is just not right... My sincere condolences to the families of the dead and too the family of the terrorist.
2. jewish terrorist
joni ,   jenin camp   (08.18.05)
i wonder if israel will deal with his family as they do with the palestinians families, will they destroy thier house?will they arresst his brothers or his sons?,will they seek revenge on gilo settlment?????will they force curfew???i think they will not and i hope they will not,but this is show how much israeli government is baised and unfair.....
3. This Jewish terrorist’s home must be demolished
T Dexter ,   California   (08.18.05)
Israeli authorities must bulldoze or bomb this Jewish terrorist’s home to deter other Jewish terrorists and ticking bombs, the same way Israel demolished 1000s of Palestinian homes.
4. T Dexter: What do YOU know about this anyway?
(08.18.05)
5. Jewish Terrorist
D.Penna ,   Italy   (08.18.05)
The Palestians 'took care' of the Jewish terrorist themselves, while they never did anything to stop their own terrorists! Who is biased here?
6. why
lana ,   jerusalem   (08.18.05)
i think some body pay money .and he kill for money only
7. Excellent Point D Penna!

8. Grief and shame
Richard ,   Paris   (08.18.05)
I hope Asher Weissgan will spend the rest of his life in prison. That will give him plenty of time to think over what he did and regret it.
9. We are about to demolish the homes of some 8000 people
Eyal ,   Tlv.il   (08.18.05)
An interesting point, but don't you think that the disengagement itself is enough? Anyway, we have a justice system in place to take care of murderers. The Palestinians, however, don't get that kind of treatment as they are not citizens. What a mess.
10. they are terrorist
Unkonwn ,   Jerusalem, Palestine   (08.18.05)
this is the true face of Israel , the terrorist country
11. Terrorist
Louise Gerber ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (08.18.05)
I don't think he was a terrorist, he was in fact a murderer. If he had killed Jews, would you still call him a terrorist.
12. Sadness & other comments
Howard ,   Western Coast, USA   (08.18.05)
This was a warped, murderous act. My condolences to the families of the victims and for those of the murderer's relatives who condemn this heinous act. #2 & #3, that generally happens because the PA doesn't bother to put the terrorists in jail for more than a few days, and because the families of your terrorists get paid off by the terror groups. Terrorism is a booming business in Gaza/WB. Israel responds in a way that gives some potential terrorists pause. Of course if a Palestinian terrorist's family publicly repudiated their son's actions and condemned terrorism, their house might not be bulldozed either. Anyway it's now moot in Gaza. The PA will have the opportunity to deal with the terrorist gangs and militias itself. Weissgan will go to jail for a long time, and his family will be ashamed forever. As you can see, they publicly condemn what he did. Maybe their revulsion and regret will deter others from similar terrorist acts. #10, have you heard the proverb about people who live in glass houses?
13. If we demolish his home?
(08.18.05)
Shouldn't we also destroy the homes of the terrorists who did the Netanya bombing and the "stage"? Because Israel had declared an end to the policy. So I assume that most of you would want this same policy carried out agaisnt the pal terrorists who did those acts?
14. Israel should napalm gaza
Jon ,   USA   (08.18.05)
15. Palestinians and Israelis United
John ,   Jerusalem   (08.18.05)
I am encouraged by the voice of wise people on both sides. Even our "KING" Mr. Sharon has described the actor as a Jewish Terrorist. The killers familly deploring this acts desrves every respect and support. No we should not take down their home in the same way Palestinian houses should not have been taken down. The idea is not to argue on what to call him but obviously to deplore the act. Israelis and Palestinians should be united against such acts from either side. We should may be try to understand that no matter how much we do as Israelis, there will still be some crazy people who are willing to do such acts. May be we should understand the Palestinains more when they say they could not control every thing on their side too. Understanding and cooperation is the way forward.

And what is your true face? The true face of the palestinian people? You have not even the courage to put your real name on paper ,so please, when you talk of the TRUE FACE,think before you act.
17. this is so unfair
Yasmeen ,   Gaza-Palestine   (08.18.05)
if he did it 'cuz of pullout rage, well, its not like those 4 workers told Sharon to do it, its not like they even live in gaza ! why did they have to pay?! i dont see how a single palestinian is to be blamed or has to pay cuz of the pullout! if an israeli thinks someone should pay, then go kill sharon! this is ridiculous! we stopped killing, take care of ur killers! arent u bored? we want AND NEED peace and if we'r able to control our people u should be able to too... salam/shalom
18. demolishing houses
Salam ,   Palestine   (08.18.05)

19. here's the difference
read this carefully   (08.18.05)
devastated jewish mothers and fathers grieve over, and apologize when their sons commit acts of murder against arab innocents ... arab mothers and fathers uulate, pass out candies, express their pride and joy over their children's "martyrdom" and welcome the entrance to the paradise of 72 virgins that await them.
20. to # 8
ari ,   jerusalem   (08.18.05)
no not prison.he commited an act of murder. as jews we are not allowed to judge him (punish).it is out of our hands. He is to be put to death so that the lord Almighty can bring true justice. We dont have the right to punish him ourselves. This goes for every murder out there. The fact of the matter is that if people know that by viciously murdering others they too will pay with their lives the rate of murders around the world would drop dramatically. Unfortunately we have a liberal world that feels that everyone has "human rights"....not the case! who gave us the right to make these type of decisions?! Not G-d! Murder is punishable by death....simple as that.
21. RE: 19. here's the difference
Jacques ,   Brussels, Belgium   (08.18.05)
You're filtering you memory. You're lying to yourself. Opinions made on lies are not legitimate. If indeed, this happens often, it also happens often that the palestinian families condemn what did their child. You should consider the reality: Palestinians are human beings able to think, and that they do not all think the same things. Generalisations are racism.
22. Family is lying & response to #20 Ari
Alex ,   Boston   (08.18.05)
Something about the woman saying "he never even talked about the disengagement" doesn't sit right with me. How can a guy shoot his work buddies, literally his equals, with no regret or sympathy and not be out of his mind with rage? Sure sounds to me like his family must have known something. I say we bulldoze their house. To #20 Ari: QUOTE: "as jews we are not allowed to judge him. it is out of our hands" Okay, so to clarify, we aren't allowed to judge whether he's guilty, so according to G-d we must put him to death, and that's NOT judging him? As for your "rate of murders areound the world would drop dramatically", that is a grossly ignorant statement. People who murder generally do it in the heat of a moment, with passion, or even if they plan it, they feel it MUST be done and punishment with most certainly not act as a deterent. You're must be the genious who believes society needs to kill people who kill people to show people that killing people is wrong. Question for you, what happens when society executes an innocent man? Who kills society?
23. This terrorist's family should contact Arabic TV networks
Mark ,   New York, NY   (08.18.05)
This terrorist's family should contact Arabic networks and pro-Arab networks such as BBC and tell them how much they deplore this horrendous act and how sorry they are that this is happened. Media war is a war, too, and should be won by us, not them.
24. to jacques from belgium
here's the diff   (08.18.05)
no memory filtering. no lying to myself and no, I am not a racist. Just way better informed than you. Yes, Palestinians are humans and this is the part that I don't get and you're just not aware of. A "shahid or martyr who has killed Jews in the name of "Allah" brings great pride and joy to his family and friends. Ask around.... I'm not saying 100 % of Palestinians feel this way, but polls that I have come accross show the figure to be in the 80 percent rage. ce n'est pas un generalization, monsieur jacques.
25. to # 19
shai ,   Tel Aviv   (08.18.05)
there is a misunderstanding, there are no 72 virgins waiting, but one 72 year old virgin.......how must those suicidebombers feel when they expect 72 beautiful virgins, instead there is this old wrinkled 72 year old virgin. :))))))) you blow yourself up, you can't wait to get going with those virgins and then wow what a dissapointment...:)...enough with all the b-shit...religion is based on fear....if there was no religion there wouldn't be all these problems...
26. #2
(08.18.05)
Last month alone there were over 530 terrorist attacks from Palestinian terrorists. There were no Jewish terrorist attacks. Israel is not going to put a cerfew on its own citizens because of 2 terror attacks. There will be no more cerfew becuase you will be in control of your own land (G-d help us all).
27. #17
(08.18.05)
You have stopped you killing have you? Over 530 terrorist attacks in the month of July? And these people don't get punished for what they do, unless Israel takes care of them (and rightfully so). The PA does nothing. And just so that you know, Zada is dead and this guy will spend the rest of his life in prison (for lack of a death penalty). We take care of our terrorists. Start doing something about yours!!!!
28. To Alex
(08.18.05)
You are a self-hating Jew who wants to see the worst in everyone. You think the family is lying? Well, it doesn't matter. Let's say that the family, G-d forbid, hated all Arabs and thinks that they should all be killed (worse case scenario). It still doesn't matter. They are allowed to think what ever they want. The fact still remains, they did not take action against anyone. And I honestly believe that the family does not have such great hatred with the Palestinians although they might be frustrated.
29. to #1 's stupidity
barry davidson ,   tel aviv   (08.19.05)
First of all, "palistinian" is spelled PALESTINIAN. sorry you are not a bright lightbulb. I don't feel sorry for the "Palestinian" arabs. This is because they have killed Jews, Israeli Arabs and tourists in their benign and backwards terrorist mindset. If we are being made to transfer Jews, next to go are anti-Israeli arabs, like those who live in Um El Fahm. MK Ahmed Tibhi should be indicted for treason. Lastly, Azam Azam should be a national hero. He, as a Druze, is more brave and zionistic than any of the Jews. He puts us all to shame for his sacrifice for Israel and for the Jewish people.
30. When will you pay the families of the victims ???
