Sharon slams settler leaders    By Diana Bahur-Nir
1. Sharon
Sharon is ready to blame everyone else for this disgrace except himself. The citizen of this country will teach him and those who voted for this disgrace a major lesson come the next election. Remember, Prime ministers and cabinet minister come and go, but Israel will last forever. Our flag will proudly fly in Gush Katif again. Am Israel Chai V'kiyam!
Miriam ,   Israel   (08.21.05)
2. It takes one to know one!!
If standing up for the over 8000 lives Sharon has destroyed makes one a criminal---then the 100's of thousands that have gone to the demontrations are all criminals and I for one am proud to be one. the only real criminal is the one that willingly destroyed so many lives to free himself from criminal prosecution!! Sharon Shame on YOu!! May the try you in the Hague!!!!
Michelle ,   Israel   (08.21.05)
3. Mr. Sharon
Mr. Sharon, I choosed for you! Israel is very hurt! Every one knows that. I, as an Israelier, I cannot believe anymore that with the people that we have now for the government. That there are GOOD people as leaders for the state of Israel. The way how this goverment took care to 'kil' the people who where against the pullout. And now you blame the settler leaders? We knew it all before. Ariel
Ariel ,   Israel   (08.21.05)
4. Mafioso
I see no essential difference between the evils of Sharon and the Settler Leaders...just a little interim period of gangland warfare between them, after which they will undoubtedly be back in business together again
Michael ,   Haifa   (08.21.05)
5. Sharon, please...no more lies, sigh.
QUOTE: "...when there have been plans for a long time now that would allow them to live the way they want to live," he said. The way they WANT to live? So a family with 8 kids gets a tiny 3 room tin can offered to them (If they are lucky) and that is the way they want to live? Sharon, why don't you set the example, and have yourself and your Knesset go live in these tin cans, and let the Gaza refugees lives in YOUR homes.
Ann C. ,   USA   (08.21.05)
6. PROVACATION FROM THE DICTATOR SHARON
(08.21.05)
7. SHARON
Sharon has no right to talk. He has made refugees of his own people. The entire govt should resign. None of them are worth the money paid to them and should find a new job. Peres and Sharon should go to retirement.
ls ,   israel   (08.21.05)
8. To save 5.5 million - Sharon moves 6500......
Well done Sharon ! You will save lives of the soldiers who would otherwise ned to guard these setlements. Soldiers drafted away from their families to protect these people living in their luxury ghettos. The Knesset all agreed, that it was beter to move these 6,500 to save the 5.5 MILLION other Israelis who live in Israel. Courageous, and I salute him.
Shalom ,   Yershaliyim   (08.21.05)

ariel is not in israel, it is an illegal settlement on illegally occupied land that will, of course, be evacuated just like the gush katif settlements in the near future. the good news is that we learned resistance is manageable by your army and so it wont be such a 'painful concession' but just another in the long list of illegal settlements in the west bank and arab east jerusalem that can be given back to its rightful owner.
edward ,   las vegas   (08.21.05)
10. Edward, the real barbarians are in YeSha
Wait til you see the real mobsters from YeSha , when they begin in the West Bank. The Gush setlements contained nieve simple folk motivated, genenarlly, by false beliefs instilled in them by their Jewih Fanatic Rabbis. In YeSha you have the real arrogant Anarchists who want a Radical Jewish State. Even there there are innocent families, but the mobsters in the Gush came from YeSha.
Dudi ,   Beer Sheva   (08.21.05)
11. Yesha leadership: unethical, or just dumb?
How many months went by when Yesha screamed and yelled and put extreme pressure on their fellow settlers to prevent them from cooperating with Sela, which after all was supposed to deal help the settlers resettle? GOOD leaders plan for ALL likely options - failure as well as success. DUMB leaders ignore the possibility of failure, plan only for success and are surprised when the obvious failure occurs. UNETHICAL leaders make no plans for failure because failure will serve their own purposes. The Yesha leadership has done everything it could to turn the disengagement into a made-for-tv humanitarian disaster so as to protect its own interests. Rather than creating an atmosphere of protest based on sober realism and rational thought, they created a sense of hysteria and panic that doubled the pain of the settlers being resettled, thus making for a better tv spectacle. This is very sad, and slightly sick.

12. Terrible scenes, terrible suffering
Sharon is the one who caused this disaster, and now he is trying to push blame onto others. Hardly surprising. Interesting that people are willing to oppose his lies and misrepresentations when they weren't willing to oppose the deportations.
Chrisona ,   Chicago.IL   (08.21.05)
13. There's no disaster, just people want to be somewhere else
The YeSha manipulators forbade the settlers to contact Sela and make arrangements. The arrangements that were made are not acceptable on the settlers. There are Hotel rooms in the South, but some want to be in the North. There are hotel rooms in Ashkelon, but the settlers want to be in Jerusalem. When the setlers want to be together, you try finding 200 Hotel rooms all together in the middle of August holiday season. There are some screw ups, but it's impossible to move 7,000 people with 100% success, especially when the setlers are politically motivated to complain. And when they don't complain the Yesha thugs complain for them. The Yesha mob now want to disturb the settlers again and set up a TENT city to demonstrate their political strength. It makes it clear who's causing the settlers pain and manipulating them.

My name is Ariel, Edward. I live in Jerusalem. Maybe is that also illigal. But not for the Jew in the eyes of HaShem. But look what happend after there is a Arabic state in His Land. Joel 3:2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. Ariel

15. I will never move to Israel
I used to think, what if another holocaust would take place. No problem, we have Israel. My friends, if it were to take place, israel will be the first to go
Pete   (08.21.05)
16. remmended reading "Warrior" by Sharon
I urge both sides in this argument to read "Warrior" the autobiography of Ariel Sharon. a) Additionaly, Sharon ties with Dayan for "the best soldier of Modern Isreal " the only two who's campaigns are studied in military acadamy's the world over (such as west point, sandhurst etc.) b) Read what Sharon himself says about the settlements and the settlers. c) Read what Sharon wrote, about his refusal to join Ben Gurion's campaign to turn Jewish members of the Irgun and Stern gang, based on what his father told him about how Jews should NEVER betray Jews. Understand that Sharon, whether right or wrong about the current situation, was a great hero and soldier, who was victimized by various "kookoo supreme court justices "committees" (As Begin put it, Goyim killing Goyim and the Jews get blamed) d) Sharon never admitted that he made a mistake about anything. e) He had no right to violate Halacha and "prey" on the Temple mount, It was also bordering on the insane to throw rocks at rabid dogs, and to incite mad bulls. I only wish that Sharon would prey, every day, at his neighborhood shul, or a the Kosel, or at his favorite Yeshiva. Prayers are personal and communal appeals to Hashem, our only friend, not demonstrations designed to provoke wild animals! He, like the rest of us, is full of contradictions. while we shold condemn all the "homicidal maniac" talk about assasinating him, we do have a right to study, analyze, dialog, and ultimatly decide his POLITICAL destiny, by VOTING. Again, the same consideration should be extended to the newly homeless from Gaza. Whatever one's views about the disengagement, their is a "homeless person" crisis, which deserves a speedy, honest, humanitarian solution!

17. SHARON
No doubt the PM received praises and expressions of gratitude from many Israelis for his decisive move. But they will pale in comparision to the accolades and honors to be given to him by the nations of the world, the UN which he plans to address in September. He will be thinking to himself how ironical that the very people who branded him twice a war criminal will be applauding him for his courage and boldness. Who knows, he may yet join Arafat, Rabin and Peres by being awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace.

18. to ariel
my apologies, your signature was confusing. if indeed you live in jewish jerusalem (as opposed to occupied arab east jerusalem) then absolutely you have every right to live there and live in peace. and thank you for agreeing with me that the settlement of ariel is illegal and should be abandoned.
edward ,   las vegas   (08.21.05)
19. Tragicomic... I'm speechless
If it wasn't so sad it would be funny, and if it wasn't so funny it would be sad. Sharon has the Chutzpah to criticize people for making people suffer to further a political agenda?!?! The Yesha Council dares to ask the people to suffer by living in tents instead of in homes?!? Ummm... someone remind me, why are they not in their own homes? No chance the government threw them out and made them suffer is there? They wouldn't do that! Especially not simpy to further a political agenda. Tragicomic...

I never say that I'm agreeing with you. I cannot go in 'What HaShem make legal for Jews' It are people like you and Sharon and the Arabics who make it illigal for Jews to live in the Land of HaShem. Ariel
