I read with interest the article on Tel Megiddo. As an archaeologist specializing in Ancient Israel, I was surprised when the article discussed the Battle of Megiddo by Tutankamun. As all archaeological evidence at Karnak clearly states, it was the seige carried out by Thutmose III in @ 1468 BCE that Megiddo is most noted for.

in your display of contempt for christianity you erred by saying: "But that vision looks like child play next to the mother of all battles on Judgment Day that John the Baptist foresees in the Book of Revelations in the New Testament." it was john the apostle, NOT john the baptist. your cleverness isn't so clever when you botch up simple facts.

Their was no Tutankhamen the 3rd. There was only one Tutankhamen It was Thutmose III (1479-1425 BC) the Gretest pharaoh of ancient Egypt who conducted this campaign. He was the son of Thutmose II and son-in-law of the female pharaoh Hatsehpsut .

". . . that John the Baptist foresees in the Book of Revelations in the New Testament. That book was probably written in the 1st Century C.E., when the Romans were persecuting the first Christians." John the Baptist? I think not. The New Testament has it that Jesus's cousin John (the Baptist) was behead by King Herod before Jesus's ministry began, so he can't have been authoring The Book of Revelation during post-crucifixion persecutions of Christians. Revelations is generally attributed to a St John of Patmos, who may or may not be the same person as John the disciple of Jesus and reputed author of the Gospel of St John. Either way, 'the Baptist' it wasn't. Bright Blessings
