1. SO IMPORTANT... B'H
Ha'Yahid ,   Al-Quds Al-Yahood   (09.15.05)
Gulf States such as Qatar (Qatar, UAE; Dubai & Abu Dhabi, Bahrain) know the meaning of a more relaxed, dynamic and cultured society. Their forward looking aspirations combined with their respect for their culture and past make them naturally more inclined to have a good relationship with Israel - which possesses the aforementioned traits. The geographical situation of Qatar also is a factor at play. On the Arabian Peninsular, not in close proximity to the Holy Land and never in direct conflict with Israel, Qatar has never had a historic issue with Israel or Jews. Only, with the advent of pan-Arabism, it has strove for Arab unity and thus has a natural sympathy towards Arabs living in the Holy Land - thus no formal diplomatic ties with Israel yet. Qatar has no truly discriminatory laws concerning non-Muslims or specifically Jews. Thus there is no ideological struggle in play. Please G-d formal ties will be established soon. Two dyanamic and important nations such as Israel and Qatar, co-operating, can be so very productive for our region! B'srat HaShem/inchAllah this will come. peace

Adina kutnicki ,   Nj, US   (09.15.05)
Always a caveat from these Arabs. Sure they would love to open relations with Israel. Just as long as Israel slowly commits national suicide. The pathetic Israeli "leaders" will do most ANYTHING to be accepted by their tormentors.
3. THANK YOU QATAR
Mark ,   United States   (10.01.05)
THAT IS A SMART MOVE AND THAT WILL HELP BRING PEACE THANK YOU FOR HELPING THE PEACE PROCESS MORE ARAB COUNTRIES NEED TO FOLLOW EVEN IT AS A VERY LOW DIPLOMATIC LEVEL SMALL STEPS ARE GOOD EVEN VERY SMALL ARE OK
4. Lebanon
A ,   UAE   (08.04.06)
Do you think that there is any chance for peace talks after killing more than 800 innocent civilians in lebanon and after destroying the infrastructure of the lebanese ppl? it doesn't make any sence that arab ppl will support such talks.
5. Israel's condeluded foreign policy
Dude ,   Canton, MI, USA   (12.28.06)
Have you ever said anything bad against Israel? Ever? Because I have. And when have, i'm told i'm anti-semitic. WTF? I mean, i have jewish friends, but i dont think that just because Hezbollah decided to rag on israel dosent mean it has to go bomb Lebanon and its people out of existence.

I respectfully suggest that you look at something other than the American liberal media. The fact is that Israel in no way bombed Lebanon and its people out of existence. Your opinion is probably based on the pictures you see in the US press, but that doesn't tell the whole story. There were MANY areas of Beirut that were totally unaffected by the war for example.
