Microphone damaged; PM leaves    Attila Somfalvi
1. MK Karaaaaa
I am very sympthized to this MK Kara, he is really a simple idiot to join the right wing in Israel..... Ultimately, he will will end up at the landfill of the history.
Tim ,   Uk   (09.25.05)
2. shame on Landau's supporters
Well Uzi Landau's childish supporters probably ruined any chance that he had of even coming 3rd. Don't these 'supporters' realize how ignorant they appear and the damage they the caused Landau. Very very sad and embarrassing behavior.
Michael ,   tel aviv   (09.25.05)
3. Sharon was disengaged from his microphone
Sort of like the old joke, but with a new twist: "Will the last secular Zionist please turn off Sharon's microphone?"
Ariel ,   Judean Hills   (09.25.05)
4. The Palestinian Entity
I just read the following and wondered if people like Landau are any better than the Iranian Ayatolas ? Does he think that the Palestianians don't exist ? No wonder the vast majority of people in Israel are pro Sharon when others offer us this nonsense .. Addressing Likud Central Committee members Sunday evening, MK Uzi Landau chose to attack Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's speech in the United Nations last week. "I heard your speech in the UN, and it moved me – and it moved [Labor head Shimon] Peres. You talked about the rights of Palestinians and a Palestinian state. In front of the UN, Israel's prime minister is talking about the vision of a Palestinian state? "Is this the Likud?" Landau concluded.

5. They couldnt shut up for 1 minute
What a pathetic bunch of morons make up the Likud Central Committee After watching this pathetic spectacle and attempt to sabotage freedom of speech, I really don't want to vote Likud at all. Here's to hoping Sharon starts his own party - it'll have my backing
JJ ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (09.25.05)
6. Gan Yeladim
And these people are running the country? It's no wonder this country is so messed up.
R ,   Israel   (09.25.05)
7. So called "Palestinian entity
There has NEVER been a state called Palestine, which was ruled by its citizens. It consisted mainly of Arabs, and Jews who were there for centuries. If the Arabs in the area want a state of their own, they can return to any one of 22 Arab States. If they think they can frighten us, The Jewish People, with guns, I think they'll soon realise that as we dealt with Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq, there is not reason why we cannot do the same to them.
Haim ,   Raanana   (09.25.05)
8. What! With his big mouth he couldn't reach the back of the
hall without a microphone? 1. He didn't have anything to say that was worth hearing. 2. B"H the expelled Jews got a kick in the bully's ass.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Santa Monica, CA   (09.26.05)
9. All those criminals sitting on the stage
All those criminals sitting on the stage - Hanegbi, Omri, Blumenthal, Arik - and they want the police to investigate a microphone! Pathetic
R ,   Israel   (09.26.05)
10. repley to Haim , Raanana
When Israel was (re) founded in 1948 a large number of people were displaced (like Abu Mazen who lived in Sfat) - why should they now be sent to an Arab country ? In the same way that many Arab countries have come to accept Israel as a fait accompli, we (I am Israeli) need to find a solution to the fait accompli of these displaced people. I am by no means a 'left winger' but do believe that many good people are suffering; people that just want to raise their families and have a little dignity. Let's not put our heads in the sand. Peace with the Palestinians (they now have Gaza) would make this area a paradise on earth. And don't forget that neither Israel or Egypt wanted Gaza in the first place.
Michael ,   tel aviv   (09.26.05)
11. Liars the lot of them
What a shame! We didn't get to hear his lies. Than again, we heard the other politicians and they are just as good at lying.
Molly ,   Australia   (09.26.05)
12. reply to Michael in Tel Aviv
As a non - Jewish American, just KNOW that the VAST MAJORITY are with you. You CANNOT appease terrorists with concessions. You see and hear the goings on and speeches by Hamas and the other Terror groups after the Gush Katif withdrawl. When Israel was "re-born" in 1948, The muslim nations all declared war against tiny Israel. They told the ARABS they should LEAVE the ISRAELI LAND, as they would be in Arab hands again in about 24 hours. Israel asked the Arabs alkready THERE, NOT to leave but to stay and TOGETHER FIGHT for THEIR(BOTH JEW AND ARAB) LAND. Those like Abu Mazen left VOLUNTARILY. If Israel NOW concedes to allow the people and their families that voluntarily left, BACK INTO ISRAEL,( they DON'T WANT to move back to the West Bank as has been offered, but to ISRAEL'S MAINLAND, itself. Then come the NEXT elections and guess what? NO MORE ISRAEL, as arabs would by FAR OUTNUMBER the Jews, and then Israel would become " The Islamic Republic of Palestine" and once again, they would EXPEL the JEWS. ONLY AMERICA would be willing to allow the Jews to immigrate, but the point is, the land, ever since ANCIENT TIMES HAS been ISRAEL'S although the people went through two diasporias. God told the Jewish Prophet Ezekiel that he WOULD, after the LONG AND HARD 2nd diasporia, bring BACK His children to the land that he gave to the sons of Israel for an inheritence forever ! I realize the majority of the Jews who immigrated from other nations(as Ezekiel SAID they would) do not believe in God. But their in NO WAY will be peace with the Arabs ubtil the Meschiac comes, who we Christians believe was Yeshua of Nazereth and more importantly, The Son of God. The arabs around you do NOT WANT a state livinbg side by side in peace with Israel, they want an arab state INSATEAD of Israel. As it says in Psalms, " Come, let us cut off the name ISRAEL, that it be remembered NO MORE. ISN'T that what they're TRYING TO DO?And as you said NEITHER Israel OR Egypt wanted Gaza, unless, that is, you ask an uprooted family from Gush Katif! BEFORE 1948, those arab "Palestinians" were called " Jordainians".Ever since Rome destroyed Jerusalem in 70 AD, they RE-=NAMED the land as "palestine" as an INSULT to the Jews ( because it's derived from "Philestines") who remained there and lived through all the slaughter. So the TRUE "Palestinians" have ALWAYS been the JEWS. Arabs JUST HAPPENED to MIGRATE there LATER!
