Yes, some of us did read some of Chomsky's political screeds, before putting the book down so not to choke. Some of us have memories slightly longer than yesterday. Chomsky supported WWII, but like for most communists, it was conditioned on the Soviet Union's involvement in that war, after being attacked. Most communists did not support the war against Hitler prior to June 1941, since at that time Soviets had a nonaggression pact with Hitler. Chomsky's books are being published in Europe by a publisher who is, putting it gently, a Holocaust denier and Chomsky wrote a nice Preface for his book. Chomsky's defense and support of Pol Pot in on record and you can check it, and so was his admiration for the policies of Mao's in China and for Castro's Cuba. Curiously, Chomsky preferred to admirer all those systems from the comfort and security of the U.S., while he's been enjoying the privileges of a college professor in a decadent and evil West, rather than participate in building "worker's paradise." You speak like a true "believer," which leads me to believe that you're either very young or in search of a new religion, the Church of England having become rather passé.
