So the Gaza Community Mental Health Association thinks that sonic booms are injurious to Palestinian children and should be stopped. Of course this group and the "physician association" that are petitioning the courts thinks that any attempt to deter lethal Palestinian attacks are bad. They don't like delays at border crossings, they don't like security fences, they don't like attempting to surgically remove terrorists, and they don't like searching Palestinian ambulances that have been know to carry explosives or suicide bombers. Somehow, preventing the loss of Israeli lives by mostly defensive and non-lethal measures cause anxiety and distress among the population. Yet, they don't seem to react to the mainstream Palestinian cultuire of encouraging and glorifying childred to become martyrs by blowing up Israeli children.

Gaza Residents: Do you think the kassams hitting Sderot are silent or very quiet? We need to have a cease-fire and protect our innocent children. Both sides must do it for the sake of children. That is a good reason for Mideast Peace. Do it for all children on both sides. Those children are our future. Don't you think that is a good reason for peace or at the least a cease-fire or truce.? The U.N. works directly with needy children and they can help. The U.N. is far from perfect and has many problems but it is much better then constant air-strikes and kassams. Mothers from both sides need to promote this. We can at least agree on that. Good Idea? If not I want to hear suggestions? Dialogue does less damage then bombs and kassams. I was a knee jerk liberal elite leftie for a good long time. I too thought that by cutting off my arm a little bit more and a little bit more it would help the cause. Well it didn't. I turned a corner when I saw how miserably Oslo failed. I turned another corner when I discovered the worst weakness of Jews is their thinking that the more they give and the more they do the more they will be loved. I found out that and everything else was false. We are in the midst now of a people who are unwilling to change; to cleanse themselves of the kind of hate which is destroying themselves as well. I am talking about the kind of hate that permeates every inch of Palestinian society. The kind of society which has no regards for their children and on and on. Did you see the slide show which #2 provided? This we as Jews both in Israel and the greater Diaspora can not change by being nicer and giving more. History has taught us that all people who were oppressed marched against their own oppressors to gain freedom. Meaning the tyranical dictators who rule over them. This is what the Palestinian people must do. Furthermore, providing a phony state with a phony democracy and showering billions upon billions of dollars upon a people who do not have the intestinal fortitude to change themselves is futile at best. Giving them more and sanitizing them into something which they are not will not provide a durable and lasting peace. Never worked before in history and it will not work now. With all the flaws of a regular democracy, democracy works because it is personally earned. For those that never had it and come to know democracy and freedom they will tell you the desire and the yearning and 'personal sacrifice' is what got them there. We see this all over the world. History is rich in proving the inner urge for change not the inner urge to destory others. The Jewish people contribute plenty to the world for the small number which we are. This is our gold standard and I hope this never ends. It is our humanity after all.
