1. Sharon's trojan snakes
Ilan ,   Ariel   (11.26.05)
Arik cleared out of the Likud because he has an existential problem with democracy when he stands to lose. Now the people he and Omri brought in from the outside are remaining to cause further damage to the Likud. Soon Sharon's supporters in the media will abandon him for Peretz since he is closer to their views. Let Sharon and his lackeys enjoy a few more weeks in the sunshine.

Sharon will remain PM. He will achieve permanent borders for the State of Israel. If the Palestinians ever get with the program, they will make a go of what is on the other side of that border and will have a treaty with Israel. And one way or the other, the overwhelming majority of the Israeli people will be better off for Sharon's inspired leadership. Face facts, achi, Ariel Sharon is truly one of the great leaders on the world stage and his priorities have always been the same: Israel first, second and third.

Thank you; perfectly put. Dr. Sharon is the best thing to have ever happened to Israel in recent times. He played a pivotal role in winning many of Israel's wars and he is playing a pivotal role in achieving a lasting settlement with our neighbors. As for haLiqud's claim that "later polls will begin to change after the Likud finds a candidate for the upcoming general elections", what can one do but laugh? Sure, once the Liqud throws up (pun intended) Netanyahu the polls WILL change, but for the worse! ARIK & QADIMAH WILL SAIL TO VICTORY!
5. Sharon, snakes and Horse
Allan Farber   (11.26.05)
there were no Trojan snakes (referring to #1 Ilan) just one horse, however the snake metaphor certainly applies to Sharon and Omri. Many snakes devour there own offspring to survive. A word to Andy (#3) people with any ideology will not vote for a center party devoid of ideology or integrity, despite the polls, it is simply a wasted vote, especially not a corrupt party like Sharon's will be, Sharon won't be PM again.
6. Sharon the last Prime Minister of Israel
Mohammed ,   Jerusalem Palestine   (11.27.05)
Sharon will go down in history as the Prime Minister who freed Israel from Zionism. He is like DeKlerk who ended the racist South African Apartheid.
7. to #3 and #4 and likud supporters of Sharon
David Tregerman ,   patchogue, usa   (11.28.05)
To those who believe the pragmatism of Sharon is justification of Sharons past and future efforts to define a final peace between Israel and palestinians the Likud leadership fight offers a unique opportunity to strengthen Sharon. Those who hold Likud membership cards but are loyal to Sharon, have the opportunity to vote for the candidate least likely to weaken Sharon in the general election. Among the following vying for Likud leadership: Netanyahu, Shalom, Mofaz, Landau, Katz,Feiglin Only Feiglin will not draw support from Sharon. Feiglin will make Likud appear to be a radical rightwing party. Therefore Likud voters who support Sharon should vote for Feiglin in the Likud leadership vote because it would enhance Sharons chances in the general elction by isolating Likud to the radical right
