Successes over successes... typically israel ;-))
2. priorities
peter ,   Amsterdam, NL   (12.02.05)
2.4 billion $ is a lot of money, it seems the official defense budget is around 30 billion with another 20 billion from other sources(US). All that while 1 in 4 Israëlis and their children live in poverty. Strange priorities.
3. Iran
J K ,   NYC, USA   (12.02.05)
If they are serious and follow through on their threat to launch a missile @ Israel, they better be sure the Arrow and Patriots arent up to the task because they will get only one shot and will have about 5 minutes to enjoy it because there is for sure an Israeli sub with some form off water launched nuclear missiles patrolling right iff their coast and Tehran and Shiraz and other places will rapidly become glass parking lots. But why even go down this road? The mullahs can't be that mad, can they?
4. Play Time Over
Marcel ,   Florida   (12.02.05)
It's good to see Israel getting ready as the countdown clock with Iran draws down to zero. The U.N. will accomplish less with Iran than they did Iraq in 12 years of useless sanctions. So Israel must prepare for Iran's nuclear threat and surprise attack from Hezbollah and Syria. They see this as their time to end their problem in the Middle East. Watch Egypt also ,they will always side with fellow arabs against Israel. If you think otherwise ,you will be caught by surprise.
5. next project: iran
mike ,   usa   (12.02.05)
since the europeans are subjugating themselves to the iranian's posturing, it's time to do something about a bunch of terrorists a few countries east.
6. so and so.
(12.02.05)
success to be agressive? why not Iran too then? success of not being able to conquer Hizbullah? the Palestinians?
7. Yeeeeeeee-haaaaaaaaaaaaaaar!!!

Well done, boys! Israel kicks serious ass!!
8. #2 peter prorities
Marcel ,   Florida   (12.02.05)
Peter ,why is it that so many fail to understand the reality of the little, tiny lamb attempting to livie in peace surrounded by rabid wolves ? I seriously think the dutch will have to be attacked in like manner for them to awaken to Israel's problem with the intolerant and bloodthirsty jihadists. It didn't seem to awaken my cousin's ,the French frogs though. Maybe after they are reduced to dhimmi class in their own country thay will awaken ,then maybe not ? Peter ,try and grasp the reality Israel faces with those who don't really want peace with infidels but lie and decieve to catch the lamb off guard to devour it whole..
9. This is for all those critics out there
Ahsay ,   Israel   (12.02.05)
Dear friend from all over the world, You all seem to forget that Israel received from Iraq in 1991, 39 Scud missiles. They cost the country Billions. It is high time Israel should be able to defend itself against foolish regimes in the Middle East. Well done Israel!!!
10. Shows Israelis want peace/defence and Arabs/Muslims want War
David Landman ,   Natick, USA   (12.02.05)
Congrats on Arrow. Great accomplishment. While Israeli is trying to defend herself, countries like Iran are trying to build WMD. Too bad Europe cant figure out appeasement never works with Evil. Definitely money well spent. Better to spend money to keep people alive and safe than on appeasing Evil.
11. Well done!

The God of Israel (the only god, there is no other, or any other name) is your mighty shield & protector. Read & rejoice at the words of one of God's great prophets... Ezekiel 36-38. Financial tip: dont invest in any of Israel's neighbors... they are destined to suffer Gods terrible wrath & utter destruction.... on the other hand: "they shall prosper that love thee" (Israel & her blessed people). The end is near !
14. Congrat!
Billy ,   Burlington, Canada   (12.02.05)
This is an outstanding acheivement. I just hope U.S. will not envy Israel & deal with Israeli Arrowo the same way they did with the Canadian one back in the sixties! Way to go Israel!!
15. To Marcel, Talkback #4

Hi Marcel! You should be joining forces with Linda R. & you'll guarantee no one will read your comments! You just don't realize what's going on in this complicated full of problems & missunderstanding part of the world. Thanks

NYC Girl   (12.02.05)
Fortunately, the Israelis don't depend on God to protect them. That's why they have the IDF.

Warm congratulated Israel, with this success.

Jane ,   New York   (12.02.05)
The #1 priority is survival. Unfortunately, Israel is in an awful neighborhood and must find ways to protect the people. I hate the poverty, but would rather poor children than dead ones.
20. #6
(12.02.05)
Israel is fully capable of conquering Hizbullah and the Palestinians and Hamas and Islamic Jihad and Iran, etc. Problem is, if Israel uses more than 5% of her ability, everyone screams.

Jane ,   New York   (12.02.05)
Thanks for the rejoicing. But please limit it to exclude the triumphalism and end of days stuff.

Could a Jew really count on guns & bullets more than on the Living God ? 4000 years..... who gave Canaan to the Hebrews in the first place ? Who made the Hebrews ? Who blessed them with the very Words, Temple & Alter & Law of God ? If it were only a matter of "living in the land" & not by divine right... then the palestinians would have firm ground on which to stand... but, considering that the God of Israel IS in complete control... The IDF only plays a minescule part in the defense of the Promised Land. Could the God who sustained the chosen people for the last 1950 years really be only a myth ? Say hello to the next Amalekite or Amorite you meet. The promises of God are alive & well.

Where exactly does Gods Word say " God helps those who help themsevles " ? I am unable to find this statement in all of Gods Holy Word, nay, the opposite is true... supported by Gods Word.
26. To Ray self appointred prophet
Efo   (12.03.05)
Where does it say God helps those who help themselves? It says it in the State of Israel.
27. ray, it doesn't say that in god's word
mike ,   usa   (12.03.05)
it comes from rabbinic judaism, which often adds to god's word and then considers those things authoratative.
28. Ray
Jane ,   New York   (12.03.05)
My first comment had to do with applying Christian end of days theology to the situation in Israel. You are entitled to your views, but we don't agree with them. As to the one G-d, blessed be His name, I am quite clear as to His power, and don't need to be reminded. Though the "G-d helps those who help themselves" phrase may hot appear in the Holy Torah, or your Bible, the concept of personal responsibility permeates Torah. Yes, G-d will and always has saved the Jewish people, but it is inappropriate to stand there waiting without actively sanctifying his name by protecting our lives. Pikuach Nefesh - preservation of life - is the responsibility of man when he is in a position to act.

Oh, by the way, Ray, Our G-d has protected us for over 5000 years. Yours is the one that you have prayed to for 1950 years.
