Palestinian film wins European Oscar    Merav Yudilovitch
1. "Paradise Now" is terrorist propaganda.
The Arab director, there are no "Palestinians", has endorsed blowing up Jewish women and children which Europe has no problem with. Go to hell hani pig!

2. Get a life, Daisy
Have you even see the movie trailer for this Palestinian director's movie? It absolutely is not advocating what you say. Note the last caption. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10006233/site/newsweek/

5. Jerry-you are an idiot apologist
At the end of the movie(i was told by others b/c I would never give money to this project) one of the suicide bombers blows himself up, the screen turns to white and we never see the attrocities and tragedies of the Israelis. Of course the Europeans would give this movie an award. They are anti-semites extraordinaires.

6. Palestinian propaganda movie
So I watched the short that you indicated. It only proved that Daisy's note is correct. This is vile Palestinian propaganda. Killing Jews is justified. So of course Europe and its antisemites would give this glorification of bombing Jewish wins their approval. To hell with the beautiful cinematography and wonderful acting ability. The message stinks

7. The suits
I wouldn't go and see this film. Its enough to watch the real thing on the evening news. Why are they wearing suits?
Sivan ,   Israel   (12.06.05)
8. this loathsome movie
# 4 is right on the money. We know exactly how this movie ends. It ends with the death of Jews, murdered by Islamist terrorists. Thing is, in real life, unlike the europeans, we dont have a death wish. We know how to fight these bastards back and win. but where are the poets who will sing the memory of Chaim Amram - a real fighter and defender to rank with the best of them. There are so many stories of heroism and survival of the last five years. but sadly, self-haters are over-represented among our film-makers and writers.

9. you missing the point
i myself is pro evrything that against Palestinian terror and pro any counter action to prevent terror, but you missing the point of movie, movie is not about politics but about life, after all we all humans even terrorists. THEY have clusters of amotions that we all share have idiolgy to follow, have families. even the most "enlightened" can become the most crule depends on circumstance

10. not a kind of pure anti-israel propaganda
sure, this move has got some pro-palestinian notes. But not kind of pure anti-israel propaganda. It shows the well known conflict from the other side of the fence. In-between palestinian society. During the whole movie there is a question about the legitimation of suicide bombings to fight the occupation. The answer is – surely not. However, an accomplished bombing attack at the end of the movie is not an oxymoron. It stands for the irrationality the conflict has developed to. In order to prevent any racist postes: I am jewish and proud of state of Israel.
konstantin ,   berlin, germany   (12.07.05)
11. awards
European use to reward antisemitic and antiUS movies and books.M.Moore is one example. No surprise about this movie, wich is supposed to make viewers feel compassion for killers fate. Not mentioning victims is tactical:they dont exist,so you side with murderers
gil ,   ashkelon   (12.08.05)
12. Jewish Atheist #9
So you think you have said something "enlightened" just because your surname is "Atheist"? (joking!). I guess we should all honor the yartzeit of Adolf H.: after all, he was human, had red blood running in his veins, had complicated emotions, had an idology, and had a mother and a father. Perhaps, might I suggest?, you should recommend that the UN set aside a day for the entire world to recognize Hitler's genious and his vision. Let us all reach into our humanity and recognize his. (We can of course re-write the history books to show that he saved the lives of tens of millions instead of revealing that onerous truth that he took the lives of tens of millions without so much as recognizing their humanity.) Thanks for sharing your insights.
