I wish to record my sorrow at the loss of this young man...Israel has been robbed of a life that it desperately needs if Israel is to survive... ynet describe the young man who did this as a "Terrorist"... this is also tragic.... Please refrain from the use of that word.. the killer who did thiscan be described as a murderer or freedom fighter... whatever, makes no difference, as long as the word used is not TERRORIST with all its implications... I greave for this young man too

You both (obviously same guy using different names) are asking why he was there and not in Israel....need I remind you that he WAS in Israel, it was a checkpoint for the ARABS TO GO TO ISRAEL and get work, not the other way around. Or maybe Israel has no right to check who is comming into its country??????

To the parents of this brave soldier, take heart in knowing we stand in solidarity with you. Had Arafat accepted Barak's offer in 2000, the Palestineans would have now had a state. As long as the Palestineans do not rise up and demand an end to these terrorists, no one is going to support them anymore.

this check point is not to enter Israel, it is between Ramallah and El Ram, both cities are in the westbank area. there is another check point 3 Km far from it for people want to enter Jerusalem and Israel. I am standing at this checkpoint everyday at least 40 minutes each way to go to university, if I use a car I need 2 hours, the soldiers are horrible, very rude and they are not humans! I need to cross another 2 check points before I can reach the university which is 20km far from house! these the checkpoints are between westbank cities. Imagen such life for years, you are transferring our life to nightmare and you are surprise when someone attacks you!!

Imagine the soldier that needs to be standing at this checkpoint because your collective society has not been able to get their collective sh-t together for the last 57 years and work toward an actual peace with Israel which would negate their very reason for being there. In fact there were far fewer checkpoints before the FIRST intifada, so we can agree (or not) that more checkpoints were brought about by violence on the Arab side. I am not blaming you, per se, but the address is with the Palestinians. You keep choosing violence over negotiations and then bitch and moan about what your fighting brings about. F-ing ridiculous. You want these checkpoints gone? Do what is neccessary for peace and they will disappear. This guy didnt deserve to get stabbed in the neck because its inconvenient for you to get to school. Should every Palestinian that argues at the checkpoint get a bullet in the head for the soldiers inconvenience at having to listen to him/her? I didnt think so.

I am so sorry to the family and friends of wonderful Nir Kahane. Israel and the world, has suffered a great loss. Jewish Nir is the symbol of everthing that is good and honorable in this world. Nir was murdered because he was a Jew and because he protected Israel. The U.S. EU UN and Islamofascists demand that the hated non-Muslim Jewish infidels are totally ethnically cleansed from the Jewish homeland. At the same time the Palestinian Authority/PLO and PA society demand that the HATED INFIDEL Israel provide them with jobs and free medical care. AND free passage into Israel for their terrorists to carry out terror attacks against Jews. PA media and PLO/PA terrorist leader, Abbas, praises these terrorists and calls Muslim murderers and suicide bombers heroes and martyrs. The U.S. EU UN, and Russia are eager to give terrorist PLO/PA and PA society an Islamic TERROR state AND free passage into Israel. Israel needs a King David.

Ahmed,why dont you try talking to your people, tell them to give up the violence,tell them to stop this insanity: Do you honestly think the IDF soldiers at the iDF checkpoints enjoy their jobs? They like being at the checkpoints as much as you like crossing the checkpoints.All this hate between our 2 people is not going to get us to a final peace solution-never in a million years. What a sad state of affairs!!! If the suicide bombers were to STOP & the killing were to STOP, there would be no need for checkpoints. A very good weekend to you Ahmed.
