1. Are Israelis stupid?
Haim ,   Ra'anana   (12.12.05)
During the early nineties, Israelis thought Mr. Natanyahu was stalling and did'nt want to compromise with Arrafat. He knew that Arrafat had no intention of honouring his undertakings. Israelis did not see it that way. They voted Rabin & Peres. They got Oslo; they got intifada; they got more than 1000 killed and thousands wounded. Now you say the survey says they support Sharon and his defectors. Either they dont understand the Arab mentality or they are just plain stupid!!!!
2. #1 On the other hand,
Michael Steiner ,   Praha, EU   (12.12.05)
maybe the Israelis simply want to finish the process started by Messrs. Rabin and Peres, and get out of territory which is not ours and which gives us nothing but endless trouble, turmoil, blood and tears
3. Maybe do away with elections and rely on Mina Tsemach?
Truthseeker ,   Netanya   (12.12.05)

5. Effects of Ouster of VP Dick Cheney on Israeli Elections?
Gerald Pechenuk ,   Chicago, Illinois US   (12.12.05)
As anyone who has read the indictment of VP Cheney's Chief of Staff, Lewis Libby knows, Dick Cheney was in the middle of the activites surrounding the illegal public outing of the undercover CIA operative, Valerie Plame Wilson. What if Cheney is indicted or resigns under that pressure from fellow Republicans who do not desire to go down with him? If, for example, that were to happen in January, 2005 what effects would that have on a March, 2005 Israeli election? I would like to know. 6. Gerald,#5 what you’re talking about is…
Boaz ,   Ramar Gan, Israel   (12.13.05)
An internal American matter; It will have no effect whatsoever. The very idea is absurd and ridiculous.
7. Boaz Doth Protest Too Much!
Gerald Pechenuk ,   Chicago, Illinois US   (12.14.05)
Surely There will be some effects. For example, the Democratic Congressman from Pennsylvania, who it is said consults with and speaks for many, many people in the U.S. Military Command has said, "The war in Iraq is not going as advertised. It is a flawed policy wrapped in illusion..... It is time for a change in direction.." Surely, the withdrawl of U.S. troops from Iraq in 2006 and the end of Cheney's torture policy which is being roundly denounced in the U.S. Senate, the U.S. Congress, and many governments around the world, WILL HAVE SOME EFFECTS! ? Perhaps..... A Clean Break from the Neo-Cons View of An Ongoing Clash of Civilizations, as some would like to see..... Yes, I TOO HAVE A DREAM!!! Gerald Pechenuk cities12345@yahoo.com
