1. VOTING TO PREVENT HAMAS OFFICIALY JOINING ABBAS'S BIG JIHAD
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (12.15.05)
Abbas tells the truth about his genocidal intentions in Arabic. When Abbas gives speeches in English the U.S. requires Abbas does not reveal the PLO/Palestinian Authority goal of Islamic conquest of all Israel. ABBAS: LITTLE JIHAD IS OVER, BIG JIHAD STARTS The peace process is part of global jihad. http://www.israelnationalnews.com/news.php3?id=75030
2. THEYLL GET ARAB NATIONS TO JOIN IN FINAL BLOW AGAINST ISRAEL
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (12.15.05)
The Road Map Islamic terror state compacts TINY Israel into the world's most over-crowded Jewish ghetto, reducing Israel to 9 miles wide at mid-section! No longer a viable country, and TOTALLY INDEFENSIBLE. PLO/Palestinian Authority leader, terrorist Abbas, was Arafat's partner for over 40 years. Shortly after Oslo, Arafat explained on Jordanian TV the PLO strategy adopted in 1974: "Since we cannot defeat Israel in war, we do this in stages. We take any and every territory we can of Palestine, and establish sovereignty there, and we use it as a springboard to take more. When the time comes, WE CAN GET THE ARAB NATIONS TO JOIN US FOR THE FINAL BLOW AGAINST ISRAEL."
3. Hammas & elections
Serge ,   Antwerp, Belgium   (12.15.05)
Let Hammas participate in the elections, this will clarify the situation ans will make it clear that palestians want a state, not along Israel but instead of Israel. You cannot push peace on people who don't want peace

Morris Simon - Green ,   Reno Nevada   (12.15.05)
WAR ON TERROR needs the congress to tell him that Hamas should not run in palestinian elections. Imagine! Where is Bush telling Abbas that if Hamas runs the steady flow of money will end? Where does Bush get off calling Abbas the guy who does nothing to stop terror a man of peace while telling Israel to nose out of Palestinian elections. Imagine! War on terror, don't think so. Dead Jews thanks to Abbas and Hamas big deal to the one who is fighting world wide terror. 1+ 1 = 42. Failed Iraqi war put the screws to Israel from the government who thinks themselves a loyal ally of Israel. Bush is a two faced sob. The president whom we thought was so pro Israeli turned out to be one of the worst toward Israel and at this time fighting a war on terror??! What he is doing to Israel will place him in hot water in the books of history.

Probably he says this because the illusion of a solution and someone they can deal with is better than the reality that is the lawless PA administered territories and the ineffectual Abbas. I mean, seriously, what else is Bush going to do....admit he bet on the wrong horse? Look at it this way, the PA does nothing, people die and still they get the money from everyone. It's almost like the world doesnt expect any better of the Arabs....is that not a patronizing attitude in itself? hold them responsible. It seems like everytime Israel sneezes, the State Department catches a cold and turns them out for a 'cooling off' period. Ridiculous.
6. Makes no sense
Shai ,   Israel   (12.15.05)
If Congress wants to help Israel, they'd recognize that there's no difference (except in words) between Abbas and Hamas, and already they'd be making the moves they're speaking about. Not that it makes much difference, since the President is in charge of foreign policy in the US, but in my opinion they should let the Hamas run so that teh whole world can see who the legitimately elected representative of the Palestinians is, thus once and for all revealing that a majority of Palestinians is not interested in peace on any terms that Israel can accept. Then, they'd have to draw the conclusion I have which is that the Palestinians who do want peace are not willing to do anything they should do to get it. They'll call it "collaborating", or they'll talk about suicide bombers not being "in Palestinian national interest", or they'll refuse to follow up on their agreements to disarm the armed gangs. And what better than to allow the Hamas to win, so they raise their voice and with the highest of principles say "the voice of the people has spoken, and they do not want us to disarm". Which gets us to the base problem of Bush's push for democracy in teh Middle East. I don't think Arabs really want it. And when they get the right to vote, they vote to destroy Israel, like the Muslims in Iran did. So, wake up and smell the Hummous, it doesn't make a difference what Congress says or threatens, the Palestinians will do what htey want anyway - and the US will continue to pressure Israel to do what it wants.
7. Abbas and Hamas
Joe ,   Brooklyn, NY   (12.15.05)
First, many Muslims use "jihad" to mean other things from terrorism. I've heard Muslims refer to personal struggles for growth as "jihad." Abbas very well could have been referring to the overall goal of a Palestinian state when he referred to a "big jihad." Also, his praise for Arafat is inevitable...when he was elected, Arafat had just died. We saw Abbas carry out arrests after the Netanya bombing, and I think that he, in fact, is Israel's partner for peace. Second, it's very possible that people are voting for Hamas because it's Hamas that delivers needed social services that the PA does not provide itself. Of course, Hamas also has ideology that defies anything that's decent or humane, but it also makes sense that Palestinians who only care about feeding their families will vote for Hamas, even if they don't share its genocidal ideology. I don't have the solution any more than you do, but I also don't believe that Hamas' admission into the Palestinian parliament should necessarily mean the end of the peace process.
8. PA TV: THEY'LL RULE U.S.UK & WORLD & FINISH OFF EVERY JEW
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (12.15.05)
The Palestinian Authority , along with Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other terrorist organizations, share the international goal of Islamic global conquest. The following is an excerpt from sermon by Sheik Ibrahim Mudeiris, May 13 2005 on Palestinian Authority TV (transcribed by Memri TV monitor): "We have ruled the world before, and by Allah, the day will come when we will rule the entire world again. The day will come when we will rule America. The day will come when we will rule Britain and the entire world - except for the Jews. The Jews will not enjoy a life of tranquility under our rule...The day will come when everything will be relieved of the Jews. The stones and trees will want the Muslims to finish off every Jew." PA PEACE PARTNERS DECLARE THEY WILL FINISH OFF EVERY JEW. Even though the PA declare they plan to rule America and Britain (and the entire world) the U.S. Britain and EU keep on giving billions of U.S. and European TAX DOLLARS to their favorite terrorists who murder Jews.
9. Terror in parlament
Steve ,   USA   (12.15.05)
B"H I think the US should not vouch for Hamas in the parliament. Democracies do not admit the Mafia to Congress, even though it is well-organized, and some say even chariatable in some cases providing many jobs, food, and so forth. Instead Democracies formally admit only organizations sympathetic to a rule of law. The admission of felons is bound to limited citizenship only: in the US voting rights are denied to felon criminals. In England, for instance there is the IRA that is not admitted to parliament, though the separate "political" body does have some representation in the media and so forth. The reason is that a body that arms itself to provide for its own defense and offense is acting with its own (sometimes bounded) sovereignty. The credo of two states for one people really holds more for the Arabs than the Jews, in that there are two armed bodies, Hamas and the PA, which are waging wars for sovereignty against Israel on the same land for altogether different purposes. Hamas is based out of Iran/Syria and is representing a different sovereignty than the PA whose flag greatly resembles that of Jordan. I think this struggle represents why Israel is the necessary head sovereignty in its land. Jordan and Syria/Iran simply cannot make peace as was witnessed with the recent bombing in Jordan by representatives of Al Queda, which might compromise the "darker" 4 sides of the octet, that includes North Korea, Pakistan, Iran, and Syria. Who knows where China stands on this, aside from its staunch support for communism and manufacturing of nice plastic toys. So far, Pakistan and China have behaved courteously as far as I can tell, rooting out corruption, but I have really not been so inspired by the loud behavior against common democracies by the other three. This points to the fruitlessness of trying to force peace on Israel through Israeli sacrifice of land. The more land sacrificed, it gets sacrificed to this armed struggle and not peace. That is why I support Feglin to head the Likud. He recognizes that there has been a fundamental flaw in this negotaition process over the past years which sacrificed land and received war instead of peace.
10. Hamas and the election
Hilda ,   US   (12.15.05)
When will the world recognize that there is no difference between Bin Laden and his gang and Abbas and his. President Bush's War on Terror is a farce. With one side of his mouth he fights bin Laden. With the other side he sends Condi to fight Israel and reward the Palestinians for their terror. He is either a big hypocrite or a fool or both.

Shai ,   Israel   (12.16.05)
That's exactly the same logic that you could have used to justify the democratic election of Adolph Hitler in pre-WWII Germany. EXACTLY. At some point you need to draw the line, Joe, when you recognize that "anything that's decent or humane" is not just a throw-away in the face of the benefits "social services" bring. With power comes responsibility.
12. Hamas and the election
Hilda ,   US   (12.17.05)
Hamas just one a small election. What can I say that has not been said before? We are all playing with fire. US sends moey to Abbas when his plan is to destroy Israel. Iran is all set to have the big one and they said they plan to wipe Israel off the map. Is this any different from Hitler and his Mein Kamph? We will sit still until he does it and then the world will say too bad the Jews gave us so much . We will build a memorial to the Jews.
