The only solution is a massive pre-emptive strike on Iran. Really, what Israel needs is not threats of sanctions but a coalition of the willing. Put pressure on Germany and France to participate militarily in defanging the Islamo-fascists. Otherwise, they will find themselves guilty of having done nothing in the face of evil.

A few month ago Israel could have used Nuclear weapons with out fear of retaliation from Iran.... This would not have made Israel poular..but it could have been done. Now it is too late Iran is now equiped to deal with this and will deal with it.. It is certainly not too late. If nothing is done by the international community, Iran is still a few years away from having a bomb they can use. In that time we can finish off Iran hundreds of times. And also, Iran is nowhere near the military capability of Israel. The Iranian President stated that Israel could be destroyed with 3 nukes and while a few nukes would hurt Iran it would survive. The Soviet Union collapsed because the price of oil (its main export revenue) collapsed. Now we are approaching peak oil, oil prices will remain high, taking Iranian oil off the market could send oil to $100/bbl. Iran will not collapse anytime soon due to economics. Plus China & India want to buy its oil & gas. So bad times lay ahead unless action is taken to stop an Iran Nuke. With a few nukes Iran will without question attack Israel. If so then what will the rest of us do, remember with a long range missile Iran can tell Europe to stay out and they will, just like Germany released a killer to free one of its citizens in Iraq.
