Hamas wins big in local elections    Ali Waked
1. The Fruits of Disengagement
Like sharks who smell blood.

2. #1.. Surprised?
What happened when Israel disengaged from Gaza besides the fact that the settlers were gone? Economically Gaza is still doing horribly, Israel still controls Gaza's airspace and seaspace and has a powerful say even in Gaza's only international border. Air strikes on Gaza are still continuing (not always retalliating for qassams!), and poverty in Gaza has not declined one bit, the West Bank is still under occupation and Sharon has repeatedly said that he is going to keep illegal settlements forever as part of Israel..... so THAT is why the votes have gone the way they have. I am NOT undermining the significance of the disengagement and i DO REALISE that this was a huge step forward but as long as there are no tangible and real RESULTS of the disengagement, nobody should be surprised at the results of the election.

3. This is one crazy neighborhood...
time after time i am amazed by these waves of hatred and ignorance... still wishing there will be an end to it... but i have hard time believing it

4. now the roadmap is dead

5. one cotton pickin minute you all
Michael. Don't buy your logic Withdrawal from Gaza was met by rockets from Gaza. Palestinean agression in return for sacrafice. Ditto with the border crossing opening to Egypt which now lets in bombs and al qaeda. No my friend you cannot blame Israel for the corruption of Fatah which led to its defeat anymore than you cannot help but see the irony. The PA has done such a good job of teaching Arabs to hate Jews that the hate has come home to roost. You should be careful when you preach hate. It can come home to bite you.
