1. How is this guy dangerous?
George W ,   Chicago IL   (12.27.05)
Sharon put a travel ban on a 59 year old book critic? Seems like the concept of "security" is being taken a little far here. What, does Sharon have a poorly written autobiography coming out and he's afraid this guy will give it a bad review? Who are the hostile elements he would contact, other cruel book critics? Quick, shut down his email!

So, you Mr. Know It All.... do not leave us in suspense... Do tell us how a writer / critic could be a threat to security..!!! If you have no answer, then shut-up.... this is a police state paractice.

"Interesting that you know that this guy is not harmful?! What leads you to believe this? Think about it" Thanks for your advice: Two seconds of thinking about it makes clear that the whole problem with these kinds of measures is that there is no independent way of verifying if someone is ACTUALLY dangerous or not. You can't have a real debate, instead there is only the state's fiat with no real opportunity for challenge or appeal.
5. "Restaurant critic jailed for poor review"
Chris ,   Toronto   (12.27.05)
Hello Israel Magazine "A man was jailed today for fear of spreading anti-semitic critiques of Israeli food." When reached for comment, an Israeli official gave this brief statement. "We must not let this slander of our bagels take place. I call on other nations to condemn this action and express their love for our pastry."

I can't imagine what kind of threat this guy can possibly be to the state of Israel

"We must not let this slander of our bagels take place. I call on other nations to condemn this action and express their love for our pastry." A bagel is made from bread dough not pastry.
8. # 5 Gil : Very Good. Did you find that on Google ???
