In the modern world we want self determination, not second class Dhimmi status. Historically, in the Islamic world, the best that we could hope for was second class status. The term "reformist" inside of Iran refers to a movement there that seeks incremental reforms under the current constitution. That movement is all but dead. We support an internal regime change inside of Iran that leads to real democracy in the country.
