I don't think the Church wants to take over israel as so many posts here suggest. What it seems to me, is the big concern is the safety of and unrestricted access to, holy sites that the churches pilgrims have been going to for over 1000 years. How can the jews claim Jerusalem to be theirs? It is not a Jewish "state". It is a unique holy place and it belongs to the christians, muslims and jews together. The Jews would have more friends if they would learn to forgive, and act honorably. It really saddens my heart to hear all of the talk against Christians. Please don’t include all Christians with those that are against Jews. The Jews are G-d’s chosen people, they always have been, and they always will be. I don’t like the fact that Israel is giving away all the land that G-d has promised, and I am and always will be in awe of the Jewish people. All you have to do is look at history to see G-d’s hand is still upon you. Just the fact that all the other countries hate you is proof. And they hate America because we are allies with you. Let them hate me! I will always be an ally for G-d’ chosen. As for the cross, it was not the Jews who put Him there, but the Father’s will. He was sent as a ransom for many. He did not come to be served, but to serve. It was love that kept Him on the cross. There aren’t many true Christians left in America, they are being misled by the world. The apostacy of the Church is evident, and you will know a true Christian by his works. If you look at the Vatican, and the headlines about them, then you can see the fruit of their works. The greatest commandments are to love G-d with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself. I see less and less of that everyday. And the liberal media here is always making Israel out to be the bad guy. The spirit of anti-semitism is running rampant, and it makes me sick.
