1. Somfalvi, cool it.

2. Can't you hold off until we at least know the PM's fate?
kate b ,   washington, dc   (01.05.06)
The man is sick in the hospital, hanging onto life, and we're talking about how he's fallen from power? Perfectly uncivilized.
3. You are a sicko . . .
Hadar ,   USA   (01.05.06)
even if you may be right. Have the decency not to be the first to jump into the fray of obvious speculation. Leave it to FoxNews. One thing is clear - the State of Israel will survive without your analysis.
4. For better and worse......
LoriLowenthal Marcus ,   Philadelphia, PA USA   (01.05.06)
For better and for worse, there is no one like Ariel Sharon. Although I despise his "withdrawal" decision and much of where he appeared to be heading, there is no Kadima member who can carry the Sharon mantle. Tzipi Livni? Give me a break. Ehud Olmert? Lapdog. Sharon Peres? Always the bridesmaid and way too old to be the bride now (mercifully). The next few weeks will be fascinating.
5. Sharon era is over
Allan ,   Toronto   (01.05.06)
Excellent article tells it like it is. Arik has been a brilliant leader.. I hope and pray for his recovery - but even if prayers are answered and Sharon survives, he will have to resign for health reasons.
6. From HaShem: RETIRE, no more land to terrorists.

I think that Israel can and will survive Sharon's retirement much better than it would have been under a third term of corrupt Sharon family politics. Spain after Franco and Chile after Pinochet aren't heaven, but no one can deny that things have improved there. Israel too can expect and should even demand a better future than the one Sharon and Kadima were offering.
8. attila - a bad name
nara correa ,   brasil   (01.05.06)
that's what happens when a mother puts in a son a name like that
9. Sharon , get well soon!!!
Muhammad Hassan ,   Dhaka, Bangladesh   (01.05.06)
Prime Minister Sharon is a man of courage and peace. I pray for him to Allah so that he recovers and move ahead with the peace process.
10. Somfalvi's "analysis"
Jason ,   NJ   (01.05.06)
Ynet, why do you print such shallow garbage?
11. ehud barak
michael ,   tel aviv   (01.05.06)
well the latest news is that doctors have stopped the bleeding that they caused. Much as I wish Sharon well it it clear that he won't be leading Kadima into the elections. Perhaps the best move now would be for Ehud Barak to join Kadima. Mike
12. crocadile tears
happy-settler ,   Israel   (01.05.06)
With all the crocadile tears I see today- for sharon-it looks like Hollywood has come to Israel-
13. Treat this article as you want, but...
David ,   Ashdod, Israel   (01.05.06)
... but it describes the situation pretty well. During Sharon's reign, the corruption in Israel achieved unpreceded level. It's obvious that he won't be able to be a PM (assuming he'll survive), and it's hard to deny that. IMO the Kadima party will most proably break up, since it ws created by Sharon around himself and for himself. As for the Isaeli political scene in general, I think it will be embraced by chaos in the nearest future.
14. nara #8 > open a book if u have time
Tom ,   Hungary   (03.28.06)
Happens what? name like which? The truth is that Attila is a common name in Hungary where Somfalvi Attila is come from. It's like Joe or Peter. And yeah we are all proud of our history and our great historical leader Attila. A good, dispassionate writing.
