I'm not an Israeli, so I'm not entitled to judge his decision with respect to Gaza, but I think it's fair to say that he has few if any, equals. He was a great and dynamic military leader, and he certainly is an outstanding politician. Love him or hate him, he's left his permanent mark on Israel. I hope he recovers, fast, even if it's only to allow him to enjoy a long retirement. I suspect that Israelis will still remember him well, 100 years from today. For better or worse,he's already made his mark in history.
