Samie from Chicago should first learn what democracy really means before he makes tasteless "jokes". Like any democratic and civilized society Israel has the right and obligation to defend its citizens and punish terrorists and massmurderers.

In case you don't know,in Arab countries,you can be put to death,for just stealing food to feed your starving family;or even have your hands cut off,for the same offense.In most Arab society's you don't even get a trial,you are sent to jail ,directly;so you see,these arab states do not have democracy,;This arab terrorist,who slaughtered,innocent people DID get a trial,and yes in a democratic society,,with an Israeli Lawyer ,to defend him,But you will say,"but he was still condemmed,"Yes " he was and his lawyer will appeal this conviction,BUT DO NOT FORGET SAMI of Chicago,Your country,is one of the "MOST" democratic countries on this planet,and you still Execute your prisoners.This does not exist in Israel..But with people,like this ::::living in todays society,one tends to thinks ,that maybe it would be better after all,that this murderer,should suffer the same punishment he infliged on his victims...What do you say????????

Israel's sentencing system is pathetic, 35 life sentences? One is sufficient. They are obsessed with numbers. Pollard is serving one life sentence because he gave irrelevant security secrets to an Israeli official. 1 or 35, makes no difference to the criminal. Israel MUST immediately vote in capital punishment for spies, convicted murderers and their accomplices and people who commit treason or sedition (Arab MKs who go to Syria, etc.). I will pay for the 12.00 hangman's noose if asked. If no murder, than 25 to life, as we have here in California, the sunshine state. No sunshine for Arab murderers should be Israel's approach. They are thugs. Olmert should begin legislative hearings on the subject.

Sami In any Moslem country, this man would not even have been appearing in court. He would have been executed on the spot. by the mob like it is done so often in violation of any basic human rights like Islamic nations know how to do. There is no death penalty in israel, not like in the arab countries but it does not mean that mas murdersmust be let go and kill again. Sometimes we catch them easy , some time it takes longer, some time the people associated with them try to stay silent, sometimes accomplices of such crimes cannot stop talking and giving the names of their contacts and acomplices.....but at the end , we get them....in the same fashion we got Adolf, in the same fashion we will get any of them in the future. Israel is the ONLY country in the Middle East close to a "normal"democracy and although it is far from being a perfect country with perfect people our values include the respect of the 7 Noachide laws which encompass respect for human life. I encourage you to look at the way Islamic countries deal with murderers.....and get back to me with your impressions...If you need me to provide some web sites with "real life " pictures of what happen to murderers in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Indonesia, Irak etc... I will gladly oblige !

Of course as an Arab its normal for Samie to consider all Jews "Dhimmi" second class, sub humans. We are not supposed to have rights like normal humans or to defend ourselves or claim justice on the murderers of our people.
