PM still asleep; relatives worried    Shani Mizrahi
1. RECOVERY FROM COMA
I WAS IN A COMA FOR 11 DAYS. MY DOCTORS TOLD MY RELATIVES THERE WAS A 50-50 CHANCE I WOULD NOT MAKE IT. I AWOKE ON THE 11TH DAY AND WENT ON TO LEAD A NORMAL LIFE. GOD IS ALWAYS WITH US. ARIEL SHARON WILL RECOVER.
DEBRA ,   USA   (01.13.06)
2. worried smadniks
The arelim. The Jews were dipossed by their so-called own. Ynet speaks of one arelim while the many of his victims , B'naie haShem are paying for mortgatges and insurance for homes this despicable individual is to blame for. By those best of the Jews to be expelled, you are all sufferring the effects of what those who come to kill you even more. The best I could hope is a speedy recovery and T'Shuva against the secular fundalmetalist, the extreme secular anti-faith-humanists.

3. Would independent reporters find him on life support only
to keep the public from knowing he had really died last wedk? And why would the shin bet do this foolish thing. Do they think that no one will ever tell the truth?
Bunnie Meyer ,   Santa Monica, CA   (01.13.06)
4. #2 - you need medication
Andy   (01.13.06)
5. Are they giving him ritalin or other stimulants?
Is he still breathing via the machine? Or is he breathing on his own? Does anyone know? In some cases, a person remains comatose until taken off the respirator. Then, a day or so after the respirator is removed, the person wakes up. Having a machine do everything for you -- even breathe -- can't possibly encourage an active mental state. They are not sedating him now but some of that stuff may still be in his bloodstream. Are they giving him ritalin or other mild stimulants? I pray that he recovers fully.

6. what I think.
Sharon was kept alive by extrodinary means because of who he is. Now we see the mistake in this. Every human being has a right to die peacefully not live the rest of their lives without memory or human emotion. I pray to G-d he is not left a vegetable and medicine to regulate all his other functions can do just that indeed. Having said that, I wish this mighty man all the best. I wish if it is possible he comes out of this even though it is doubtful he will. More then that, I wish him peace. To #1. A man of his age has troubles just coming off the respirator without brain damage to one degree or another. Couple that with the seriousness of what happened to him makes waking even more difficult and sorry to say, unlikely. Medicial science is something which saves countless lives, it also can leave one in a state of forever suspended animation when the envelope is pushed beyond the point of no return. I don't fault the doctors for they thought they were doing the right thing and again Sharon is the PM of Israel. I am fairly sure as an MD that in the end they will admit the tecniques they used on him would most likely not be used if Sharon had been someone else. Thank you.

8. Recovering?
People are obsessing over the PM, understandably. But given the presence of real improvements, patience is what's needed now.

10. S. Wolfson MD If you are a serious MD
you have to admit, that NOT having seriously all details at hand, and may be NOT being a specialist ....... Not having examened yourself any and all details plus the patient, it would be more serious ....... esp. a more serious as a possible MD, if you would NOT come with your none factual statements. You are basing your thoughts on what reality ...... none what so ever, but just heresay giving such .. is highly none professional and does not make you a serious person at all. In fact You know nothing about the patient's details...... nor have you been in contact with Sharon's experts it makes you just another layman

12. Sharon's Docs were full of BS!
Sharon's Docs were full of BS! Like the French !
YS   (01.14.06)
13. Gabrielle S. Wolfson is probably right ,unfortunately
I work with severely brain damaged children. If Sharon wakes up, we will all be fortunate. He can have the same fate as many children that I have taken care of. He may be blind, stare out into space for the rest of his life. He may wake up, or maybe never. This surgery has a very real chance of leaving a body with no brain---just a brain stem. Just enough brain matter to control Sharon's vital functions. Someone may have to tube feed him for the rest of his life, change his soiled diapers, do physical therapy, and surgically cut muscles so he doesn't curl up into a fetal position permanently. My friends son drowned. It is a real lousy way to spend the rest of your life. Without your brain, you are blind generally, and can never communicate ever again. It's a sad existence. I wish it on no one.
