The reason Arabs have rejected Israel and have called for the destruction of Israel is because of the manner in which Israel came into the region. I think it is funny when people say the Isreal stole their land. A bunch of Arab countries attacked Isreal. Isreal kicked their butts and expanded their territory. Telling Israel to give it back would be the equivelant of asking the US to give the land back to the Indians. If the Arabs want to keep their land then they should quit attacking Israel. Ryan - I hear your arguments- BUT - Israel was NOT created illegally - rather through historical right - whether going back 3000 years, 300 years and was endorsed by the good ol' UN. Mr. Plocker is correct when he says there is no country named "Palestine"., There is only "occupied Palestine" that is not independent. These areas include the West Bank, Gaza strip and occupied East Jerusalem. A country that does not control its air space, borders, roads, or water rights cannot be recognized independently. . When the brutal occupation is over we can all celebrate a place called "Palestine" and not mention the word "occupied".

Yes, I know that Israel is the like the promise land for the Jews, but God did not say that He is giving that land "exlusively" to the Jewish people. I am a Catholic and I lived in Jerusalem all my life - I am in Chicago for college only. History tells that before Jews, the people who built cities in most Palestine were the Cannanites/Phoneicians. These are semitic people from the Arabian Peninsula...! This is history. So Arabians were first to be there as far as history reports. They built most cities known today. Jews came later from egypt and fought the Cannanites. this is what your bilbe even reports. Ishamalite arabians controlled the same starting in the seventh century. The total period in which Jews had the upper hand in the holy land was less than 75 years. But Arabians have had very glorious history over there, before Israel, and after him. This is the history. Jews usually use God language to claim the Land.
