1. Come on Olmert
(02.03.06)
lets see you a man on armed terrorists, or can you only beat up little Jewboys?
2. Bomb Beirut
Irgun Fighter   (02.03.06)
Take the war to Lebanon's capital Prime Minister Olmert. It will send a message to the Lebanese government that terror attacks on Jewish soil will not go unpunished.
3. Take it to Damascus and Tehran!!!
Jane   (02.03.06)
4. Re: #2
Steven ,   London   (02.03.06)
That is like saying bomb london if a british group commits a crime. Thats a bit steep. It is down to Lebanon to dismantle the terrorist groups, if they dont, Israel has to dismantle them. That does not include bombing the Lebanon's capital! Lets home prime Minister Olmert does not follow your suggestion. :)
5. Israel must surrender more land
Marcel ,   Florida   (02.03.06)
Islam is a peaceful religion ,The Jews are just not surrendering enough land. If only they would do more for the peace and committ to more painful concessions there would finally be peace in the Middle East. Israel should surrender all land except for the high ground of Masada and then there will be peace. If only Israel self loathing left would crush all the settlers, then moslems would accept them as their own. The armies of allah have opened up a new brigade for thier leftist Jews in the struggle against Israel ,it will be called the 'Abdul Steiner Brigade.'
6. #4 - chump - Lebanon is still a syrian puppet
Merlin ,   Boston, USA   (02.03.06)
You suggest Lebanon dismantle terror - but they just endorsed Hizbullah terror against Israel. So they're saying kill Jews. Would you feel differently if they were saying kill people from London?
7. Bombs in the north rockets in the south
(02.03.06)
And Kadima has 45 mandates, makes sense doesnt it?
8. Irgun fighter
steven ,   france   (02.03.06)
Although i understand your feelings,as I too am jewish and was brought up in Israel,I do believe that the Lebanese people want the Hizbollah out of Lebanon ASAP.But unfortunately ,they ,the Hezbollah, are still in command.and as we all know ,SYRIA and IRAN are behind this murdering terrorist group; The Lebanese people can do nothing to change the situation.& not until they ask the International comm,Or even Israel, for help, will the situation change. I think that Lebanon Must clear out the southern part of their border with Israel, and let the Israelis, bomb that area;to smitherines ,and once and for all wipe out these maniac murderes, once and for all. But as I said ,It is up to the Lebanese Government to take the neccessary steps. To enable the Lebanese people to finally take control, and live their lives;in peace with Israel. The Hizbollah, should be "wiped off the face of the Earth,to quote, that "so called Lunatic President,Who once said, the same thing about Israel. But I also believe that Israel should now start taking her responsabilities, and show these arab terror factions, that the slightest, attack on her soil ,will be harshly dealt with.
9. Disengage from Upper Galill
Dudu ,   Kfar Sava   (02.03.06)
Why should we do miluim to defend this place? Disengagement might work - its the one thing we have not tried yet.
10. Steve, no disrespect ment, but ...
AK   (02.03.06)
you seem to be all over the place -- London, Paris. Just make up your mind, buddy.
11. RE: Israel's Land Surrender, Why?
Joe Levi ,   Los Angeles.USA   (02.03.06)
The "Land for peace" philosophy expoused under Oslo 1 and 2 and at Camp David, was, and is, a complete failure. Yet some posters still harp on giving back land to the Arabs, whether on the West Bank, Golan, Jerusalem. The more Israel gives, the more strident and indignant the Arabs become. They will NEVER BE SATISFIED, until all of Israel is surrendered and they (Hamas and Hezbollah) say so, over and over and over again. The solution: Israel should re-enter Rafah, and secure the border (no Egyptian troops needed). It should imediately have 3 nos, no peace, no compromise and no radical Arab state. Israel's response to violence should be harsh, severe and quick. No more hitting empty buildings and lots. Rock and fire-bomb throwers must be dealt with serously. Jails must be expanded (in the Negev-no air-conditioning, email or TV), A 12.00 hangman's noose is preferred to releasing terrorists with blood on their hands. That will end this thing once and for all. Marcel be advised.

Arie   (02.03.06)
Given that Lebanon still remains a Syrian province, responding militarily on Syrian soil for actions by a Syrian financed and controlled terror group is quite within the realm of military options
13. Lebanon
gerschor ,   Raanana, Israel   (02.03.06)
The IDF stopped shelling Lebanon at Lebanon's request. Why? What has Lebanon said they will do regarding Hizbollah's presence in the South? Syria, Iran, and Lebanon are responsible for Hizbollah, and the IDF should not stop until some semblance of order is restored.
14. Olmert failed miseably
Arie   (02.03.06)
This was Olmerts first test on how he would handle an attack - and he FAILED. Lebanon, Syria's puppet and Hezbullah's lap dog asked politely that Israel stop the defensive strikes, and olmert cowered. Hopefully all Israelis will remember this on election day
15. hands tied?
alan ,   usa   (02.03.06)
why does it seem as if Israel's hands are so tied? where is the spirit, why are we being messed around with. to quote a line from "munich" noone is going to f...k with the Jews!" Prove it!!!
16. steven #4
KAPARA   (02.03.06)
Steven, You are wrong here. If a british group that is supported by, financed by, given sanctuary by, voted for by the british people commits a terrorist crime... and the british government does nothing to stop it, or makes no effort to go after the group within its borders....than they should expect to be hit. Israel should bomb beirut, and has the duty as a sovereign nation to protect its citizens. This is critical, that Lebanon/Syria/Palestinian Authority be held accountable for the actions of their people. Have you always held Jews to a higher level of accountability than Arabs?
17. Lebanon: WHERE'S THE BODY?
Arik Silverman ,   Milwaukee USA   (02.04.06)
Lebanon says a shepherd was killed by IDF inside Lebanon, apparently UN has the body. IDF says it fired on a terrorist who came into Israel with weapons and night vision equipment. WHERE IS THE BODY? Lebanon has a body it says is a 17yo shepherd boy. It's a little hard to believe IDF would not retrieve a body of a terrorist having sophisticated weapons like night vision.
18. This is really funny....
Alejandro ,   Chicago   (02.04.06)
This is too funny.. I have no clue why Ynet chose to say that a “terrorist” was shot dead a few days earlier… UNIFIL (The UN force patrolling the Lebanon/Israel border) has investigated this incident and it turned out that he was a Sheppard, not only that but the guy was shot dead on Lebanese territory. I do not support Hizbullah, but when Israel does that to a Lebanese citizen on Lebanese territory it’s kinda hard to tell Hizbullah you are nothing but dirt… Funny thing is that, in a way, Israel is giving Hizbullah more and more and more credibility.
19. AK
steven ,   france   (02.04.06)
I do not take your comments as disrespecful AK whoever you are and where ever you come from. But ,don't you think that there can be more than one steven on this planet.Me I'm Steven from France and not from London.Just for the records.my name is STEVEN and not STEVE.Lets get back to what were here for huh..Have a nice day buddy..STEVEN from FRANCE.
20. #18, really funny..
Uler ,   Israel   (02.04.06)
Are you speaking about UNIFIL? That organization that helped Hizbulah to kidnap and kill 3 Israeli soldiers? And denied all the time that they filmed and supervised the incident? That even the "onest" pres. Anand didn't knew anything about it? Only when father of one killed soldier did found the film and the proof, Anand admitted that a "mistake" was done? Even more funny is the incident with the 9 years old girl that was killed near Karmi crossing... The girl was spotted 2 hours before near her house 15 km from Karmi. Then, by a mirracle, she is teleported into a war zone where some Israeli soldiers are easy to blame for "cruel killing". It does not matter the film shows clearly a man carrying a bag and dumping it in the no-men war zone ...
