Ma chere Gabrielle, I would know about Arabs since i am ethnically one, albeit born and raised in Argentina. Arab is not an ethnicity, just like Judaism is NOT. Arabs is a reference to people whose native language is Arabic. Ethnically speaking a Lebanese is different from a Moroccan who is in turn different from a Kuwaiti. During the Arab conquests, the region of the Levant was influenced by the Arabic language that came from the Arabic peninsula and thus everyone spoke Arabic. Just like in some African nations the French conquest erased the native language of these countries and made French the only spoken language. I agree that at some point, during the roman time Israel/Palestine was Jewish… but you know what? Australia was not Australian, The Americas were not Spanish/English/French… so if we do take your logic then the people of the Americas should be kicked out and sent back to Europe because the land belonged to the Indians… and unlike the Jews, the Indians owned the land relatively recently. People who think like you are simply trying to come out with any excuse that would validate kicking out people out of their homes… What fault does someone has if he is born in Jerusalem and he is Palestinian?? The roman kicked the Jews out, not Palestinians… but your making Palestinians pay the price?! I’m sorry, I just do not follow… it is not like this Palestinian who was born in Jerusalem is a first or second generation Jerusalemite. His ancestors has probably been there far more than the typical American who is an Emmigree and has blue eyes and blond hair… What I cannot believe is how can people who suffered so much, like the Jews and who know what its like to be country less, refugees, discriminated against and even killed in the name of ethnicity do something similar to Palestinians.

This is what the Swiss constitution say: The national languages are German, French, Italian, and Romansh. So 1% speaks Romansh and that makes you twist the fact and tell me Switzerland has a national language???? last time i was in Geneva 2 months ago, everyone spoke nothing but French...
