It depends on with whom you reach an agreement. Israel and Arafat SUPPOSEDLY had an agreement. Look what happened. Hamas is an Islamic terrorist organization. Do you really think that "reaching an agreement" with a group that will use said agreement as time to rebuild its strength is a "forward" step? Do you think that "reaching an agreement" with a group that denies the legitimacy of Israel is a "forward" step? It is a step back to Oslo, which left over 1000 Jews dead. I am an American Jew who is pro-Israel, especially following a recent trip to the region. Even before visiting, I recognized that there are innocent Palestinians out there. Women, children, Christians. People who are being taught the wrong things but still have good morals inside them. I do not wish to see all the Palestinians dead as you indicate. I just want to make sure that my countries (US and Israel) are safe from terrorists like Hamas. They should never have been able to run because of the nature of what they stand for.
