Rabbis slam 'evil government'    Efrat Weiss
1. I am a secular zionist, and I say to the Rabbis-Kol Hakavod
As a secular zionist I am in total agreement with the Rabbis. Sounds strange? Not really. Afterall, as a Jew I am appalled by the Israeli government's brutality to this new generation of pioneering zionists. Afterall, if Ben Gurion's generation were vilified and beaten for reclaiming the Jewish homeland, where would Israel be right now? Nowhere. Ponder that question the next time the security forces start beating zionist Jews. When I see the weak and non existent response of the authorities to ALL the illegal Arab building I am repulsed. Why pick on the most zionist of Jews, and yet leave the Arabs unmolested??
Adina   (02.12.06)
2. Olmert better pay attention
Hope Olmert and the rest of the concessionists running for office read this leaflet. The message is one that they need to learn before they try uprooting anymore Jewish civilians from their homes just for being Jewish and living in Eretz Yisroel. http://www.madzionistblogoff.blogspot.com/
Mad Zionist   (02.12.06)
3. Adina 100% correct
and kol hakavod to you whos not blinded from the truth and not afraid to say it. The police is no longer a police force of a democracy but part of the armed forces of the Junta wiping out all opposition and freedom of protest to governments policies. Tzahal has followed the same direction. It no longer is a peoples army and many are now re-considering whether its army fit to serve in.

5. MEANING OF 'RIGHT WING'
A government that acts against the people and its Torah I BEIEVE THE POLITICIANS ARE THE EXTREMIST AND THE RIGHT WING OF EVIL. I BELIEVE THE JEWS THAT LABEL THEMSELVES SECULARIST , REFORM AND THE CONSERVATIVE ARE THE RIGHT WING OF ISRAELS DESTRUCTION. SHARON HAS SHARPENED THE ENEMIES SWORD OLMERT POLISHED IT. YOU ISRAELIS ARE LEFT TO BURY YOUR DEAD UNTIL YOU "ARE" FORCED TO THE SEA. UNLESS YOU FIGHT AND TAKE BACK YOUR COUNTRY AS A TORAH COUNTRY
DACON9 ,   DEFINITIONS   (02.12.06)
6. #1
Yes. This government picks on Zionist Jews, and leaves the Arabs unmolested. Targeted assassinations, arrests, raids, and house demolitions....that's leaving the Arabs unmolested. And the Jews you're talking about build settlements in contravention of Israeli law, established by Israel's, yes, elected leaders. The police and security forces indeed should enforce the law.

7. High emotions have not yet subsided ?
Is this whht the evil left was counting on ? That brutal force against the heart and soul of Israel in Amona would be soon forgotten ? The uprising against the godless grasshoppers grows thanks to the wanna be bulldozer. P.M. Olmert has helped faithful Jews also know as settlers loike nothig else ever before. His arrogance and stupidity has paved the way for the downfall of corrupt politicians who sell out their own to foreign interests. By targeting Amona with such despotic violence and arrogance Olmert has cursed his own soul. May the despotic rule of these appeaser and rewarder's of terrorists and the court which play's G-d come to an end very soon

9. Adina, I agree
Olmert tried to show everyone he is tough by cracking down on 14 year old girls at Amona. I say to Ehud and his band of corrupted cronies: You want to dismantle Amona and other outposts, fine. But ONLY if you dismantle the thousands of illegal Arab structures too. And use the same force against them. I'm sure this will never happen. Who cares about rockets, suicide bombers, and nuclear weapons when you have 14 year old girls living on hilltops??

11. Thank God!
To all the Rabbis who finally spoke up... may Hashem bless you! Thank you so much for letting your voices be heard and leading those who are putting their lives at risk and doing God's will. I hope this will continue to ripple out to the entire Jewish people. We must not cower in face of the agressor and the world but stand up and fight and follow God's will. May all the Jews unite in God's will, those in the diaspora come home and the third temple be built soon in our days.
Jeremiah ,   Israel   (02.12.06)
12. Treason
I was appaled at the violence at Amona. Both the segment of the settler population that actually engaged in the violence directed against the police and those who encouraged violent resistence to the law are to be condemned. However, the inexcusable brutality of the police against non-violent protesters was also inexcusable and should be investigated. The police who behaved violently and unproffessionally should be disciplined as should the morons who planned the police action. The decision of some of the Rabbis to encourage more violent resistance against the government is beyond the pale especially since the Knesset has voted to investigate the Amona riots. The Rabbis, in issuing this encouragement to resist the police with force will only be interpreted as license to kill police and will result in a catastrophe of untold proportions. Now is the time for the leading Rabbis to condemn these traitors and inciters and for the govt. to try to work out a compromise with the majority of the non-fanatical settlers.

13. Enough with the selective quotes
In Olam Katan, there are many views: one from Eliezer Shwald that says unequivocally: that joining the army is a mitzvah from the Torah. It would seem that the author is trying to deliberately smear the religious community be selectively ignoring anything said that contradicts her politics. That ain't journalism..

ls ,   israel   (02.12.06)
15. "Rabis" are learning from Muslims
Isn't that what e.g. the likes of al-Muhajirun were doing in Britain? Why do these damn religionists have to sow strife wherever they show up? Ban art exhibitions because a portrayed woman's lips are red. Riot because a family deemed not religious enough moves into a religious neighborhood. Constant meddling in politics and abusing their unnatural and outrageous theocratic authority over certain civil affairs. The list is endless... Over half of Israelis are secular and of the half who're not, many are moderate, mainstream Jews who're for the most not shomrei mitzvot. If these individuals are agitating against the democratic State of Israel and its institutions, then it's time for the state to designate them what they are--terrorists--and deal with them accordingly.
Michael Steiner ,   EU   (02.12.06)
16. 1----the only problem is
that Ben Gurion's pioneers settled legally purchased land and or land within Israel's legal borders. The little fascists in the West Bank are doing neither.

17. Rabbis slam 'evil government'
It is not only Israeli Jews who are interested in Israel, there are Jews throughout the world who are disgusted with the present government's behaviour. These leftists who thought they were so enlightened are nothing but a bunch of third world criminals. They have no Jewish values, do not believe in Hashem and all they are interested in is enriching themselves. What do they have to live for, only money, which they can't even take with them when they die. But that does not matter they believe that when they die that is the end of them they don't believe in an after life, so them may as well live now.
leah amdur ,   Jerusalem Israel   (02.12.06)
18. 16----
mmh, tell me please when the ground of T.A. University was bought from the Arabs of Sheikh Munis and how much money was paid. None of the Yesha settlements were build on Arab ground.
Nethanel ,   Jerusalem   (02.12.06)
19. LIKE FRESH AIR
How refreshing to see our rabbis throw off the statist mindset that had prevailed among the religious-zionists for decades. The idolatrous fad of state-worship was "in" 100 years ago. It unleashed upon the world Stalin, Mussolini and Hitler -- monstrocities that brought Jews only suffering and death. At long last, our leaders are speaking out and freeing us from a perceived "mitsva" of acquiescence to any outrage that a government perpetrates. It's like a breath of fresh air.
Uri DeYoung ,   Dem. Rep. of Israel   (02.12.06)
20. The Left is more in tune to Judaism than the Right!!
Acts of mindless terror towards the arabs AND towards fellow jews (the settlers started the violence in Ammona, not the authorities, as usual); believing that land is more important than life, etc...And now spiting in the face of democracy. I am a reform jew and it is impossible for me to understand how the far right claims to be more in touch with judaism considering their actions. It is simply put -a disgrace to our people and religion..
Edan ,   Beer Sheva   (02.12.06)
21. 20. Reformed from what?
I guess you voted for the east wind of kadima in the last national election. The so called gov't is a fraud, the unbound heart of arel schinerman commited a coup which as an etrog of the left was not held accountable for. The land is the defense one must desecrate the Sabbath to defend it ass it defends life. The rest of you against Zionist reclaiming land are supporting mis-placed terrorists and historical artifacts left as pins in your eyes until they are expelled. There are more thanmainstream religious people who love the land yet the illegal gov't and the sick mind who implemented the mitzna plan target them. Self-hates attack the source of their guilt. Kicking like a child, but causing dath and injuries worse than death by letting theother closer to your heart. The land is your defense, it is your life.

22. Rabbis slam 'evil government'
I refer to lindashkedi@yahoo.com statement::' I'am not religiousand agree with Rabbis'; that it is not a matter of being relgious or antheist and agreeing to such a statement is just fogeting the fact that Leaders from whatever denominations ; they are but given by God. They (leaders) are to punish the lawless. One, therefore shhould stick to one's doctrine to respect and co-exist peacefully with one's neighbour in this precious mother planet Earth. I stand to be judged by my opinion.
Michael K. Androga ,   Khartoum, Sudan.   (02.12.06)
23. 22 Imagine no people
you seem to be an immoral globalist who hates religion, the fabric of souls. Who usurped whom's faith...and now they want MORE land. Globalist more than don't care. They are pacifist who Just hate Jews and love those who kill them without regard to age, sex or condition. Much like the illegal gov't by a coup who ordered the skull cracking IDF and police to commit the pogroms that the worse than kappos volunteer for if only each personal volition they make in carrying out each attack ordered.
Ben Temalion ,   Shiloh, MO USA   (02.12.06)
24. Getting away with incitement to murder
The settler leaders have already threatened Acting PM Olmert to his face that in the next evacuation there may be security forces killed. What these leaflets are doing is justifying the mindset that leads to such acts. They are also a call to defy the law of the land in a violent fashion. In any other country these "rabbis" would already be sitting in jail. The Israeli government is still too soft-hearted (or foolish) to recognize that these people really are calling for the overthrow of the government. They are not joking. They think they can usurp power in Israel and turn the country into Kahanestan, with ersatz rabbis dispensing ersatz halachic rulings in place of parliamentary law from the Knesset. They do not even represent the mainstream of Orthodox Jews, but only their own self-absorbed faction. Let the government - and Shin Bet and Mr. Diskind in particular - wake up now, before the settlers start shooting police and setting bombs in the cars of officials they don't like (as they did to Arab mayors in the 70's and 80's). These idiots have declared war on the country. When are the country's leaders going to decide to defend it?

26. To # 16- "Settlers" They Aren't
You are ignorant of your history, to say the least. Judea and Samaria are all part of the Jewish heartland. There is no doubt that the land is Jewish land. One needn't be religious to realize this. One only needs to know the history of the land. Obviously, you are ignorant of such "trivialities".

27. POLICE VIOLENT SADISTIC ABUSE ON YOUNG JEWISH GIRLS AT AMONA
www.israelnationalnews.com Incidents of Police Violence and Abuse Continue to Surface 17:00 Feb 06, '06 / 8 Shevat 5766 By Hillel Fendel The Yesha leaders brought reports from teenaged girls who said that Yassam (special unit) and Magav (Border Guard) policemen had called them prostitutes, threatened to rape them, and touched their private parts. A 52-year old woman said that when a Yassam policeman took her out of a house in Amona, he placed his hand under her sweater. She slapped him in the face. Other policemen then approached her in a threatening manner, but then left her. Fifteen-year-old Avishag S. of Haifa, who says she is still in pain and now has developed fever, told the following story: "I was in house #6, and the Yassamnikim came in through the window. One of them pulled me up by the ear, while beating me with his club in my stomach. He didn't just hit me; he turned the stick around almost inside me - and then another one kicked me in the back, and then sort of threw me out the window, giving me glass splinters in my leg. That's what they did with all the girls there... "After a few seconds, my stomach began to hurt me terribly, and I just started screaming in pain, all doubled over. An army medic told me I had better go to the clinic, but a Yassamnik didn't let me pass. Only when they brought me a stretcher - because I couldn't walk - did he let me go through. "In the clinic, they didn't know exactly what to do, but they saw that there was a real fear of damage to an internal organ - so they called an ambulance. But throughout this time they couldn't give me any painkiller, and so I was yelling in pain the whole time. Once I was in the hospital (Shaarei Tzedek), they gave me an ultrasound and infusions and everything. That's when they finally told me that I was just a millimeter away from having an internal organ damaged, which would have meant a dangerous operation. I was also very worried that my uterus was affected, but in the end, they reassured me on that as well." "I hope that next time, the whole nation will be there - not to attack, but to defend." http://www.israelnn.com/news.php3?id=98046

28. MORE TESTIMONIES OF EVIL & DEPRAVED POLICE BRUTALITY
www.israelnationalnews.com Still More Videos and Testimonies of Amona Police Brutality 19:11 Feb 05, '06 / 7 Shevat 5766 By Hillel Fendel media.a7.org/inntv/06/feb/amona-alimut.wmv news.walla.co.il/?w=/3850/852627 ...Border Guardsmen, with rocks in their hands, smashed the protestors: "I said I want to go out peacefully, but they kept clubbing me in my back, neck, legs..." MK Effie Eitam is seen with an infusion telling how was first felled by a police horse, then hit by a policeman, and then lost consciousness. Yaakov Tessler, age 17, is seen with the area below his eye swollen to tangerine-size, explaining how he was beaten despite his pleas. http://www.israel-wat.com/1.asx http://news.walla.co.il/?w=//852618 - Channel Ten scenes yeshanews.com/?id=47029 mms://s39wm.castup.net Neriah Zamir, 19, a student in Yeshivat Elon Moreh, a resident of Moreshet in the Galilee, who was evacuated by helicopter to the hospital: "I was sitting in the kitchen of house number 9, the last house in the line. I couldn't see anything outside, but I heard my friends saying how the police were beating one boy, and grabbing another one by the testicles, and the like... "We heard the Yassamnikim breaking the windows... They came into the living room and started hitting... without mercy. I saw one policeman lifting up his club and smashing it down again and again and again, seemingly without end... Then they jumped over to another group and started hitting there as well... I remember scenes of them screaming, 'Get out!' - and then Boom!, they would smash someone... "We started trying to crawl out towards the hall...one policeman gave me a terrific blow to the head and then to my eye. I passed out for a short time and the next thing I remember was being near the door, and that everything looked blurred from my left eye... "Once outside, the police refused to let me go towards the army medics, even though people were being treated there and even though I heard people saying, 'He's hurt!' Finally I made my way up to the Amona makeshift clinic, and from there I was flown to the hospital in Jerusalem, where they found that the wound was, thank G-d, would not cause permanent damage. I was released two days later, on Friday..." Aharon Tebger, 23, Givat Ze'ev, a student at Bar Ilan University: "I was in the salon of house #8, together with some expellees from Shirat HaYam [in Gush Katif] and others...We heard screaming, and we saw a lot of boys running away from those rooms towards the kitchen; they were very scared and some were already bleeding... "At the same time, the police were trying to break into our room, and soon they came upon us from both sides. We screamed that they should put away their clubs, that we were not fighting with them, but they said that rocks were thrown at them... Then one said, 'you have until a count of three to leave through the window,' and then he counted quickly 1,2,3 and then they started beating and pushing, while the other police came from the other direction. First they started hitting us on the legs, and then on our heads. "I was one of the last ones in the room, and one policeman told me to go one way, but then two others hit me hard in my head. I fell down, and then - five of them were on top of me, hitting me in head and kicking me all over my body. Five on one, and I was on the floor! "Then they brought me to another room, where I got out through the window; I had no choice, because if I stayed there, they would smash me again. Someone helped me get to the road, and only then did I realize that I was full of blood. They took me on a stretcher to the clinic, and from there by ambulance to Ein Karem Hospital, where I received stitches in three places: near my eye and on my head. I also was hit on my limbs, and I still have trouble walking." http://www.israelnn.com/news.php3?id=97967

this is an illegal gvt. which was not elected. Menny mazuz the atty. general has illegally ruled that Ariel Sharon (who by leaving Likud to which he was elected also was an illegal PM) is only temporarily incapacitataed when the truth is that he is a vegetable whowill never recover. Thus ehud olmert is serving illegally. A large number of Kadima are criminals under indictment Is this a legal gvt. ?
