I was appaled at the violence at Amona. Both the segment of the settler population that actually engaged in the violence directed against the police and those who encouraged violent resistence to the law are to be condemned. However, the inexcusable brutality of the police against non-violent protesters was also inexcusable and should be investigated. The police who behaved violently and unproffessionally should be disciplined as should the morons who planned the police action. The decision of some of the Rabbis to encourage more violent resistance against the government is beyond the pale especially since the Knesset has voted to investigate the Amona riots.
