1. Meretz should change their name to "Kapo" party.
Daisy ,   USA   (02.19.06)
They would have been hilter's helpers during the holocaust.
2. Some friendly advice to Hamas
Dov   (02.19.06)
Go to Yossi Beilin and repeat 3 times "we want peace". You'll have Meretz and Labor in your pocket and won't need to worry about Kadima either.
3. Hamas PLO no difference
Israel Ben Moshe ,   USA   (02.19.06)
The PLO and Hamas both have the same intentions, however Hamas is a little more honest. When the PLO was in power the elected political officials, put on a suits and ties, while there militant faction/offshoots would commit the atrocities. every time there was terror attack they condemned violence. Hamas on the other hand is a little more honest and is aware that with or with out negotiation they will receive the same land. (i.e. Olmrets plans to give away 98% of the west bank)
4. Destroy Hamas
Mordechai ,   Boca Raton USA   (02.19.06)
Israel is insane if it thinks sanctions will bring peace. It is time for Israel to attack and destroy Hamas. Just as the west totally destroyed the Nazis after WWII, Israel needs to destroy all Hamas. Not one supporter of Hamas should be allowed to live west of the Jordan.
5. Ben-Eliezer: Go back to Iraq, your original home place!
Palestinian   (02.19.06)
6. giving the melachim ulcers
hanina ,   usa   (02.19.06)
You know at this point we should think of the melachim who could be suffering from hair loss and ulcers. Oh please Hashem push the button. :(
7. political party vs religious
Betsy   (02.19.06)
perhaps Israeli leadership should be religious rather than political. What does Israel have to lose? it doesn't look like things could get much worse than they are now. if the arabs can come so far and accomplish so much calling in the name of allah, why not Jews calling on God, and taking action in His Name?
8. #7 That's because secular Israelis lack faith in God...
Jeremiah ,   Israel   (02.19.06)
they instead have 100% faith in the Israeli Government and their hollow left-wing leaders... oh and maybe Bibi too. Look how screwed up Israel is right now. We've walked right down the political path like good little cows. Israel is bending over backwards to be accepted by the western world; all too busy adapting their culture and throwing away our own beautiful traditions. It's sad to think that Israel was once feared for it's warriors, but that's finished. Our current warriors are not guided by Torah but by whatever politician happens to be in office. Our souless soldiers are becoming weak and hollow just like their leaders. They don't think for themselves, they're not supposed to. If they're told to go crack a little Jewish girl's head they do it. Sorry, I have no soul I'm just following orders. The one good thing is that the left's days are numbered. The religious Jews will very shortly out number them. When that day comes, and it will be sooner than you think, there will be no more spineless handling of these Arab terrorists. There will be a real constitution... called the Torah. Where Jews come first in the entire land of Israel. Then we as the Jewish nation will be able to walk in the light of Hashem's grace and be respected by the world. Not because we're trying to be just like them but because we are indeed different. Thank God. Scoff at it if you like but it will happen... so get ready.
9. All israelis are the same
khalil ,   Palestine   (02.19.06)
there is no difference between kadima,labour,likud.........,all have the same aggressive mentality.I do not know how israelis can trust such politicians!!!they compare us with Hitler as if we are the occupiers and they are the victims!!who kill, destroy.demolish houses, cut trees, own nuclear weapons.....???First israelis should kick out these men and after that we can talk about peace !!!!!!
10. What terror is he talking about?
Anti Israeli Terror ,   Terrorized Palestine   (02.19.06)
Israel was established with terrorists means. Who stole lands, ethnically cleansed lands. Stole our cities, destroyed at least 450 villages! It is really funny days we are living in!
11. Ridiculous!
Michael Steiner ,   eu   (02.19.06)
"Likud, Labor issue scathing attack on Acting Prime Minister Olmert in wake of Palestinian parliament swearing-in ceremony." Are you kidding me!! What on earth do mar Olmert, Qadimah or, for that matter, ANYONE on the Israeli political or other scene have to do with the swearing in of Palestinian assemblymen?!? Khamas was, unfortunately, elected by the will of the people and with the help of the Palestinian electoral system. They are now, quite naturally and again regrettably, forming the Palestinian excuse for a government. AND??? Will the Likud and Avodah attack Qadimah if Ahmadinejad wins another election in Iran?!? How preposterous. It only shows how desperate everyone on the Israli political settung is. Qadimah came and gained such enormous popularity because it gives the people what they want: decisiveness and sturdiness coupled with pragmatism and long-term planning. And it's taken the votes from every other big faction. So, these factions realize they cannot attack Qadimah on the basis of its platform (because that would be going against what so many people want), so they create straw men, lies and slander to sneak one in against Qadimah. Fortunately, the people see this, which is why Qadimah is as popular (easily more so) today today as it was when Gen. Dr. Sharon was at its head. Likud and Avodah: pathetic and childish.
12. Terror Parliament
nehad ismail ,   camberley, England   (02.19.06)
I don't see what all the fuss is about . Israel has refused to deal with the secular Arafat. It has also undermined Mahmoud Abbas, the most moderate and pragmatic person you can find anywhere in the Middle East, by sidelining him and adopting unilateral policies on the ground. What Israel has given Abbas?. The wall and more settlements. The withdrawal from Gaza boosted Hamas reputation which claimed credit for the unilateral withdrawal. Hamas must however stop being dogmatic and must adopt pragmatic policies which include recognition of Israel's right to exist and to enter into serious negotiations without preconditions. nehad ismail
