Not only has the 1949 armistice line lost its very legal existence, relevance, and status, but Israel’s presence beyond that line is legal as long as Resolution 242 is not applied to the final status of the West Bank.

The Green Line is not a border, it is a cease fire line. Period. Yesha is not an "occupied" territory, even Sec. Council Res.242 accepts this fact, and call for a negotiated solution. In a worst case scenario, legally speaking, Yesha is "disputed" territory. Israel´s presence in this territory is not ilegal, the presence of illegal arab immigrants IS.
