Israel: U.S. money to fund terror    Itamar Eichner
1. bad US move
you're sure as tootin Welsh better puncture the trail ballon that was floated. Hamas is Hamas is Hamas is PA. No Abbas front men. No more deceptions. Bush said no money to Hamas and we hope he means what he says as usual. The state department and its two timing sleeze bags is another story.

2. No options
America should continue

3. A nation that dwells alone.
The Torah says in reference to the People of Israel ... "Behold, it is a people that will dwell alone and not be reckoned among the nations." (Num. 23:9). How true it is that the People of Israel dwell alone in this world. We must not put our trust in other nations, not even America. We have only Hashem to rely upon.
Micha ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (02.26.06)
4. Israel's growing self abuse
Rather than do anything decisive about Hamas ,Israel's idiots in charge talk about it . They pass on their responsibility to a foreign government with a history of weakening Israel and rewarding their enemies. Why is Israel so enslaved to this corrupt backstabbing superpower and unable to keep the security of their nation in their own hands ? It look like Israel is once again a nation of slaves only thisd time it's the U.S. and not Egypt enslaving them. If you are afraid of doing something to lose the support of the U.S. in a hostile world ,then for sure the friendship and support was worth very, very little to begin with. STOP WITH THE FEAR !!! Stand up and stand firm ,G-d is with you and you will be around long after the U.S. has gone the way of all Empires.

5. TRAINING TERRORISTS-PEACE AGREEMENTS OF ETERNAL TERROR & WAR
U.S. UK pretend PA are not terrorists In the never-ending religious terror war against Jews, terrorists receive highly specialized training from the CIA and Britain. Every single one of the Palestinian Authority security services are involved in terrorist attacks against Israel. There were no apologies from the U.S. for the many Jewish deaths and great suffering perpetrated by U.S. trained Khaled Abu Nijmeh. There was no financial compensation for Khaled's many Jewish victims. There was no punishment for serial killer of Jews, Khaled. Khaled, and other terrorists were richly rewarded with long vacations in Europe. Below are parts of an article from www.sfgate.com http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2005/02/14/MNG50BANBE1.DTL Mideast training program backfires Palestinian security officers schooled by U.S. later used tactics against Israel - Matthew Kalman, Chronicle Foreign Service Monday, February 14, 2005 Bethlehem, West Bank -- In June 1998, somewhere near CIA headquarters in Langley, Va., two rows of men in military fatigues posed for their graduation photo. All of them were officers in Palestinian General Intelligence Service, charged with hunting down terrorists and preventing attacks on Israel. They had just completed a training course, paid for by the U.S. government, in which they learned firearms and counterterrorist tactics. But the graduation photo holds a stark warning for the Bush administration as it gets more involved in Middle East peacemaking. Some of the men in the picture later swapped sides and began using the skills they learned in Virginia against the Israelis. Such training courses, which were suspended with the outbreak of the Palestinian uprising in September 2000, will be an integral part of Washington's aid package for the new government of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. Standing in the back row, second from the left, is Khaled Abu Nijmeh, from Deheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem, according to two of his colleagues who are also pictured. By 2001, he had become one of the most-wanted Palestinian militants in the city, suspected of involvement in a string of suicide bombings and shooting attacks against Israelis. In May 2002, he was one of 13 gunmen escorted from the Church of the Nativity siege in Bethlehem, flown to Cyprus and then to exile in Europe. Three of the group, including Abu Nijmeh, were given asylum in Italy. "I am a member of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and a first sergeant in Palestinian General Intelligence," Abu Nijmeh, now 36, told The Chronicle from his temporary home in Rome. "I personally received a course in antiterrorism and VIP protection. "I was not alone. Many Palestinian security people were trained by the Americans. We hope they will continue helping us." Abu Nijmeh and his 12 comrades will be allowed to return to Bethlehem under the cease-fire agreement reached last week between Israel and the Palestinians. As Israeli commentators had been warning for years, the CIA inadvertently helped train future adversaries -- as it has done in other countries, including the anti-Soviet forces in Afghanistan who ended up as Taliban and al Qaeda militants. "This has proven to be a very risky undertaking," said Israeli political analyst Gerald Steinberg of Bar-Ilan University. "Both the CIA and British efforts to train Palestinians during the Oslo process helped strengthen terrorist capabilities." The training given to hundreds of Palestinian security officials between 1996 and 2000 was sanctioned by a presidential order in 1996 by then-President Bill Clinton, who was deeply involved in peace-making efforts." ©2005 San Francisco Chronicle Islamic terrorism is empowered, and our loyal ally, Israel, on the front lines fighting global jihad, is wickedly betrayed.

7. Why send aid??
It boggles the mind. Why does any civilized country send aid to the palestinian arabs? These are the same people who danced in the streets and distributed candies when Americans were murdered - and they continue to celebrate terrorist attacks. These people squaundered billions of dollars, and the donors close their eyes. They have reneged on every deal they ever made and continue to lie every time they open thier mouths. They teach their children lies and hate urging them to aspire to become murderers. They have never once said thank you - for some reason they are under the illusion that the world owes them. IT IS TIME TO LET THE WORLD'S BIGGEST BEGGARS FEND FOR THEMSELVES.
Yossi ,   CANADA   (02.26.06)
8. More Fruits of Disengagement
Israel is not gaining security or peace as part of the disengagement (to only temporary borders). What is Israel getting? A U.S.-created and now funded terror state "living side by side" with Israel. Israel has been screwed by the U.S. I say that as an American disgusted with Bush (though I voted for him) and disgusted that Bush is permitted to betray Israel in this fashion, all for the lie of "Land for Peace" and "Roadmap to Peace" when the reality is "Land for Nothing" and "Roadmap to Destruction".
Jerry ,   NYC, USA   (02.26.06)
9. Well, how can we expect others to be tough against Hamas
When our own goverment never ceases to zig-zag and make amature mistakes, in two months they've managed to create every possible damage to us, sigh.
(02.26.06)
10. Israeli Hatred of America Strikes Again
Wow. What a headline! US to fund terror, presumably against Israel, according to the Israeli government no less. This is rich coming from a government whose military has killed US citizens and whose secret service plants bombs in American libraries, etc.
Alex ,   USA   (02.26.06)
11. What did Olmert expect?
He himself delivered 250 million Shekels to PA after the Hamas win. Having been severely criticized by Bibi in a massive campaign, he decided to stop it (that is, stop giving them any extra money). Maybe he should have Bibi slam the US... You never know with this Bibi...
Ori   (02.26.06)
12. US MONEY
In regards to Israeli feelings to the US, hatred is certanly not one of them, perhaps exasperation at times. Every Country has done things to thier "friends". The US included. Israel just wants too make sure no money lands in the hands of Hommicide bombers.

13. Response to alex the neo-nazi
alex you pathetic miscreant, first of all your title is backwards, it should say US hatred of Israel stikes again. What else can one conclude from reading about the resumption of aid to a terrorist entity? Secondly what sort of demented anti-Semitic conspiracy theories are you hatching in your feeble little brain? You are a jealous malcontent and loser who belongs with that other malcontent david duke. May both of you get castrated.
Laura   (02.26.06)
14. aid to Hamas
Why am I not surprised. I predicted it from the beginning that Bush would think of some way to continue aid to the Palestinians. But if Olmert is giving monies to Hamas then of course why shouldn;t the US and everyone? I said that Israel should not alone turn off the money spiget but also the electricity and the water tap. Hamas has to be strangled like the snake that it is otherwise Israel is a goner because the world will continue to find some way to fund them. Even before Hams won the election, Arab business owners, like the local Mobil gas dealer would send a certain percentage to Hamas.
Hilda ,   USA   (02.26.06)
15. To Laura
Nothing like a little rational conversation. OK You tell me what the Lavon affair was about or the USS Liberty? Or do you not know ANYTHING about Israeli attacks on the US?
Alex ,   USA   (02.27.06)
16. We stand alone
I for one are getting sick of this same old song. When will we realise we can only rely on ourselves. Bush et.al. want to obtain the Nobel Peace Prize and go down in history as the people who solved the so called middle east problem. Then they wonder why Hammas and their cohorts take these actions as a sign of weakness and attack the West where it hurts.
Harold Tobin ,   Barnet UK   (02.27.06)
17. Alex you are...
a conspiracy buff and none of it is true. Israel attacking the US...funny!!! UNlike the arabs, Israel does not bite the hand that feeds it. Maybe aliens got into your house when you were sleeping and put this crap in your head...how's that for a theory???
DR ,   Florida, USA   (02.27.06)
18. To DR
I see. The Israelis never machine gunned American sailors in international waters when attacking the unarmed USS Liberty. There never was a Lavon affair. The aliens put these delusions into my mind. I notice however that you do not rebut my facts with other facts, but just by ad hominem name calling. The FACTS are that the Israelis have killed more US citizens than the Palestinians have ever succeeded in doing. And anyone reading this site can see the pervasive anti-Americanism that excuses, indeed denies, these historical facts. I do not deny the Holocaust. Why do you deny the Lavon affair and the USS Liberty?
Alex ,   USA   (02.28.06)
19. To Alex
The USS Liberty happened in 1967 was it? And the Lavon affai happened in the 1950's. Now these events are not chronicled as treu history are thay. There are some shady, grey areas there. Plus that was a long time ago and to say that Israel "hates" the us is ridiculous. It is one of the US's major allies and to not know that, is very ignorant.
DR ,   Florida, USA   (02.28.06)
20. To DR
I get it. You are not quite denying the facts. Just saying they are not "true" history, but "grey" history. Not quite sure what that means. Is the Holocaust true history or "grey" history according to your definition? After all it happened a long time ago, and some people deny it ever happened. Does that make it grey? Unfortunately, I am not quite so ignorant as you would like to think. If the Lavon affair were an isolated incident, then maybe it would make sense to say it was long ago and bye-gones should be bye-gones. Of course, you thought I knew nothing about the subject. It is rather awkward to explain how our "ally" Israel tried to trick us into a war and kill a bunch of innocent people. Far better to pretend that someone who mentions it is a nutcase. And apparantly you think that the USS Liberty was not attacked by the Israelis and US citizens butchered. Even the Israeli government admits that they attacked it and that many were killed. It happened a year after I enlisted in the US Army, and I took a keen interest back then in who kills American servicemen. But you do not think it is "true." You accuse me of being beset by aliens when I remember an event in my own lifetime. Or how about those weapon systems the current Israeli government was so eager to sell to the Chinese. Was that so long ago? Or the spying by Franklin? Was that too long ago. (Maybe it is also "grey" history, though then why did he plead guilty?) I read this site regularly and see a ton of anti-American bile daily. I do not object to the Israelis hating the US. That is their privilege. But, puhleeze, don't ask me to swallow that nonsense about Israel being an ally. Israel is divided into a theocratic camp and a socialist one, and both unite in their contempt for the US and Americans generally.
Alex ,   USA   (03.01.06)
21. Alex
Do you think it's ok to sponsor terror? That is what we are really talking about here, whether Israel loves or hates the US. Giving money to the PA is like killing Israeli cictizens. Period!!!
DR ,   Florida, USA   (03.01.06)
22. To DR
Point proved: now you claim that the US is one of the states sponsoring terror. Left-wing, anti-American drivel. I am building a collection of the incredible and numerous anti-American comments on this site. They make interesting reading. And they sure rebut your notion expressed a post or two ago that Israel is an ally. What a joke.
Alex ,   USA   (03.01.06)
23. Alex
You have just turned me into an anti American leftist. Interesting considering I voted for Bush and would die for this country, but I am anti American??? My point is that the US needs to stay strong and fight terror. Euroope has been known to give in and appease terror, we must not let that happen. You agree that any money given to the PA will end up in the hands of Hamas and fund terror don't you? Then what is the big diemma here? No money for terror...somple!!!
DR ,   Florida, USA   (03.01.06)
24. To DR with respect
I did not mean to impugn your patriotism or even to libel you as a left-winger. If I did either, I apologize sincerely. I was commenting on your statement and others in this thread and on this site that the US is a state sponsor of terrorism. That is a standard piece of leftist, anti-American drivel: it's not Iraq and Syria and Iran that are the problem; it is the US. Crap. Now I can make a very good argument that the US should cut off humanitarian aid to the Palestinians: such aid obviously makes it easier for Hamas to be successful because Hamas does not have to feed its own children. And the US certainly has the legal right to let Palestinian children starve. But I am not sure that is a wise thing to do, given all the circumstances facing the US at this time. I for one believe that the administration should stick to its guns and give the PA not one dime until it proves its capacity to work with Israel to reduce (not prevent because that is almost impossible as Iraq shows) terror attacks on Israel. And I would applaud a decision by Israel to stop letting Palestinians into Israel. And I could understand a decision to let the Palestinians starve to death because the US owes them nothing, but let's not delude ourselves that letting them die emaciated with swollen bellies in front of the world's television cameras will not have grave consequences for the US. Now the Israelis can say (and do as is clear from what is written on this site) that they care not a whit what the consequences are to the US from permitting famine among the Palestinians. That is their right as a sovereign nation. But it is not the action of an ally. Please do not ask me to check my brains at the door.
