Firstly, at issue is not the legality of the Amona evacuation but the method in which it was executed. Secondly, every situation is unique. The amount of force used by police should be commensurate with the danger at hand. Clearly, there was little danger to the police until they aggressively attacked passive demonstrators. It appears the police were instructed from on high to provoke and to punish. They carried out the instructions they were given. It was obvious that the Amona operation required more time to resolve ,if minimal violence was an objective. All evidence to date indicates that was not the case.
