The person or persons who torched the car, whether a right-wing settler, a vandal, or some other misguided person should be arrested and punished. There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of behavior in a civilized society. However, at the present time, nobody knows who torched the car. Thus, those haterws of the settlers like #1 are really part of a lynch mob. In fact,both supporters of the settlers and those haters of the settlers don't seem to understand civil or Jewish law. Govt officials are supposed to supply reason and defuse tensions and seem to be doing the opposite in their campaign of villification against all settlers. Thus, it is hard to justify the abhorrent behavior of the government in regards to the Amona situationand the silence of the Supreme Court towards the government's attempts to coverup the investigation. First, the government is stonewalling to save the collective asses of the officials who planned and coordinate the Amona police action. Protecting innocent police officers is admirable, but this has nothing to do with the government's perfidy. By refusing to allow field officers to testify, they are obvious in their cover-up. Second, the statements of top officials such as Ezra are obscene and so transparent that no fair-minded person will doubt his bad faith, lying, mean-spiritness, and incompetence. Officials who disputed the videos because they were "edited" are simply liars. I saw the videos and it was obvious that they did not show the violent behavior of some settlers. Thus, there was editing to minimize the role of the vilent resisters. However, that does not change the fact that the videos showed the police rioting against peaceful protesters, including children. Are these govt. officials claiming that the scenes of police brutality were computer -generated or staged? Are they, despite the evidence, engaging in Amona denial?

In the leftist commie mind one only has to find a torched car to say the settlers did it. Sounds awfully similar to the Palestinians which when Arafat got Aids (or whatever disease killed him), they said the Jews did it.
