1. What? Haman's relatives banned on Purim? Such tribulations!!
Bunnie Meyer ,   Santa Monica, CA   (03.10.06)
2. Look at that crowd
J K ,   NYC, USA   (03.10.06)
All clamoring tio get into Israel for work or whatever. Can you imagine what it would look like if Arafat and his cronies hadnt stolen all that international aid and instead plowed the monies into infrastructure, schools and jobs? Not only did he steal it, but population figures were inflated to receiver more aid (and also to fuel the 'demographic bomb')Oh well...another missed opportunity for the Arabs. Now they picked Hamas to lead them. Hope they enjoy Sharia....4 out of 5 Muslims do....OR ELSE!!!
3. Close it PERMANENTLY!
Arie   (03.10.06)
4. why??? because palestinians love to target & murder children

6. Thank God I live in America :)
Ron ,   Los Angeles, USA   (03.10.06)
I can't imagine closing the border. No movement, No Freedom! I can understand WHY however closing the borders will cause more tension and animosity towards Israel. Can anyone American imagine having a curfew and not being able to leave your house? I just thank GOD all the time that I live in a FREE COUNTRY and I can move freely.
7. Purim closures.../response to #4
Jack Aizner ,   New York   (03.10.06)
Arie - Agree with you 100% - keep all savages out !!!!
8. TO:#7
Ron ,   Los Angeles, USA   (03.10.06)
Jack- SAVAGES? How can you say something like this"? We are all human beings.....its people like you that make this world into what is today. I do not agree with the terrorists agenda and or what they do. Killing another Human makes you an unworthy human, however, these people are not animals and should not be treated as such. You live in a country with all the freedom you want, what is you were on the other end, imagine that. I wish you luck!
9. Number 6???
Eve ,   Israel   (03.10.06)
Sir, you should get your facts straight we are closing the borders with ISRAEL they can always go to Egypt ... Plus dont you find it interesting that they cry when we close the borders and still scream for their own state. You can not have your cake and eat it too.
10. Ron clearly has no concept of what happens there.
Yonatan ,   USA   (03.10.06)
Ron, try going there and seeing for yourself what happens there rather than passing judgement on things you know nothing about. (Most of us Americans don't). I spent many YEARS there. I'm sure you would change your tune if you saw for yourself.
11. racial seggergatation
Palestinian Man ,   Palestinian   (03.10.06)
The new immgirants from Europe ,Russia and USA get to have a holiday and we -Palestinians- the original people and owners of the land get curfew. Is thier any more racial discrimintaion more than this. This makes the old apparthed regime in South Africa look good. If the Isralie jews want to enjoy their they need to go back to their homeland countries (Where they came from) Russia, USA and Europe or whereever they came from
12. Reply to #6 American "freedom"
Daniel ,   Israel   (03.10.06)
Israel is a liberal democracy which is surrounded by barbaric despotic regimes which seek the destruction of Israel. Whereas the "liberal" US closes its borders to Mexico due to illegal immigration, Israel has every right to defend herself against Arab terror. The racist Arabs don't wan't any Jews in their communities and Israel has every right keep Jew-killers from Israel.
13. Ron, living in LA you should hope for closed border --
AK   (03.10.06)
or you'll not be living in a free country for long.
14. To: #10 Yonatan
Ron ,   Los Angeles, USA   (03.10.06)
Yonatan - To make things clear, I was born in Jerusalem my mother is a Jew and my father is a christen. They both immigrated to the USA when I was a year old. Last year (2005) I visited Israel and the territories for the first time, what I witnessed was truly horrific and shocking, for example: I was on a bus from Jerusalem to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity when not one, not twice, but we were stopped by the Israeli police three times. Now for me they did not even questions me because of my US passport, however, the humiliation I witnessed was clearly unacceptable, I call it discrimination!! Again, when I was in Jerusalem at a later date I was stopped several times by solders asking to see my identity as soon as I pull out my US passport they leave me alone however they would treat the other people with disgrace. During border checks I was even harassed as to why I hold a US passport when I was born in Israel, I clearly stated because I have a right to. Now, I understand that my look can be either Jewish or Arab, I just think it was too much. Not for me, I do not care I actually condone this much security it's just the humiliation they put these people through would be unbearable to anyone. Not every one is a terrorist you have these few fanatical bastards that are ruining it for the whole population in Israel and the Territories. I agree with you to one point, however to quote Jack #7 "SAVAGES" to me that's unacceptable...... People are not savages we are all human beings, I hate it when some people in this world generalize....... To let you know I really enjoyed the 30 day's I spent there and looking forward to do it again in the near future. I had a great time visiting all the Holy places in Israel and the Territories and I will do it again really soon. I wish you luck!
15. Ron, what do you call people who blow restaurants up?
AK   (03.10.06)
I call them savages in the worse sense of the word. Israelis certainly must not give them any opportunity to harm any more innocents. You're being, Ron, very tolerant of the intolerant and the savage at the expense of the innocent victims, your goody-goody rhetoric notwithstanding. You want to feel sorry for someone, feel sorry for those who MUST implement all those security measures to protect the children and hope that they work – that one of your favored savages doesn’t succeed in sneaking in and blowing up in a crowd of holiday- celebrating children. Now, who is a victim here, the society under a siege forced to take measures to protect itself or the relentless attackers determined to murder as many civilians as they can? No, this is not a trick question.
16. Daniel #12 I agree to a point
Ron ,   Los Angeles, USA   (03.10.06)
Again, NOT ALL PALESTINIAN ARABS feel that way. Read my new posting and you'll see I have both views on the matter.... Trust me, I come from both sides and I do not consider my self an Israeli or a Palestinian, I consider my self a free American ..... My fore fathers 500 years ago were all Jews...... You are wrong!
17. #15, I call it Bloody MURDER
Ron ,   Los Angeles, USA   (03.10.06)
and...... I don't agree with their views...... Closing the border makes it even more difficult to succeed in anything. My opinion!
18. 17 ron
mike ,   usa   (03.10.06)
why do the palestinian people not object to the terrorists? why do they hide and protect them? it's aiding and abetting murders. if they don't like the closures they should express their rejection of terror and the terrorists. until then, don't blame israel.
19. #18 Mike
Ron ,   Los Angeles, USA   (03.10.06)
Trust me dude the majority do object. My whole family over half live in Israel & the territories (both Israelis and Palestinians) object! Unfortunately, they live in fear of murder from both sides. They tell me this all the time. Unlike us here in the States, we have a right to object to anything, we have that freedom they don't. I'm not blaming the people, this is not a blame game and you know as well as I do and the majority of AMERICAN'S this is a religious war. Put religion to the side and you'll accomplish so much. Until then I think this will go on for another 500 years, everyone on this earth living today will be gone and we’ll never know. Good Luck.........

Alex ,   Sydney Australia   (03.11.06)
The only difference is that in 500 years, while we Jews may be called we will be there as a people, while the rest of the world has fun with their calif
21. 19 ron
mike ,   usa   (03.11.06)
my wife is israeli arab and she thinks it's about religion. it's hard to believe that the majority objects when hamas is voted into power and all you hear is complaining against israel. if the majority really wanted to change they would do something other than sit on their hands. why should israel be blamed for any of that? why should israel be expected to concede everything? if your family that lives in the territories sits by and does nothing they will live under the taliban. then it's too late and israel couldn't help, even if they wanted to. i disagree with you - take religion out of the equation and it's a different situation where peace is way more likely.
22. Whats the matter, can only the Iranians make threats?
(03.11.06)
23. This is NOT apartheid or "Racial segregation"
someone ,   Jerusalem   (03.11.06)
Palestinians are not Israeli citizens, they have their own infasture (even if it was created by us), their own goverment (even if we created it), their own police (even if we gave them the guns to shoot us), they vote in the Palestinian elections, not the Israeli ones, they do not have Israeli IDs. The Israeli leadership is making its final efforts, and I believe that this four year term would be a crucial one, during which the final borders of both countries would be set, the Palestinians will have a territorial sequence and a de-facto independence, wether the choose to set up a regular Arab dictatorship, an autocracy, a fundamental theocracy, life in anarchy, or maybe, with god's help, set up a peaceful democracy, for the time being I do not care, two countries for two nations. To make it clear, I do not believe in "New middle east" and other dreams, the Palestinians are not ready for peace, it took the Egyptians 30 years to engage in peace and not with armed forces. How much will it take for the Palestinians, 10 years, 20, maybe 50, only time will tell, for now, Israel has a right and a duty to defend it's citizens, and if it means that Palestinians would lose their jobs for a few days let it be so, they brought it on themselves, they could ask Mashaal for food, after all he was the one who said "The Palestinian people are not afraid to starve for our cause, we will march a million shahids to Jerusalem". Actions and consequences, happy Purim.
24. Ron, you are a fraud.
AK   (03.11.06)
You claim that you oppose violence and at the same time you advocate that the victims (Israelis) disarm themselves to make it easier for the murderers to strike. Empty, meaningless statement. SORRY, NO MORE EMPTY AND MEANINGLESS MEMORIALS FOR DEAD JEWS NEEDED.
25. close for ever
human   (03.11.06)
Please close this border for ever, but go out of it and donot leave your settelers and the army who gaurd them.
26. you are the barberic
human   (03.11.06)
Go and check who is the barberic the settlers who steal the land or the army who is illigally occupy the Palestinian land
27. to #23
Palestinian Man ,   Palestine   (03.11.06)
It is racial segeregation becuase 1-You do not belong here and you came form Europe and USA. 2-You are occupying the West bank and taking lands for settilements and controlling borders and checke points. 3-We are stil occupied by Israel, and the self governeneing Palestriian Authority is not independent state, it controls nothing crucail , no control over most of the land or borders. 4-Again, I beilive if you jewsih immgrants from outside of Palestine want to enjoy your holidays , go enjoy it in Russia, Europe, Iran , Canda , USA or where ever you came from. Go Back and leave Palestine for its natives
28. to #27
Jonathan Levi ,   Jerusalem Israel   (03.12.06)
We came from europe and USA? What about all the Jews who came from Tunisia, Syria, Iraq, Iran Morroco, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Lebanon, Yemen, etc...... Guess the fact that many of these communities are well over 2000 years old (certainly older then Islam.......) means little. Your the invaders who stole my lands and your the trash who made us live under oppressive Islamic rule for over a 1000 years. Palestinian, how come you bear the title that a european empire gave you???? Palestina was the name the Romans (a european empire) gave the land after they conquored Judea to add humiliation. They called it after the Philistines. So basicly what your saying is that your a sea people who have some relation to the Greeks. So my advice is, since you believe your from the philistines you should go back to Greece where you belong. Now the second possibility is your a bunch of Arabs who came from the empire of Arabia which has absolutley nothing to do with Israel save for the fact your prophet tried to preach to Jews (when they were in saudi arabia) before he bothered with the Arabs, sure says a lot...........
