1. we lost a precious young man. why did we spare 5 homicidal maniacs, to release them during next good will gesture??? 2. the High Court banned the neighbor policy- this death is on them.
4. To the IDF
Mosher ,   Very south, Brasil   (03.16.06)

5. my prayer to the brave soldier, my condolences to the family

6. How many more...........
Avraham ,   Netivot   (03.16.06)
How many more of our brave soldiers have to die before we decide to carpet bomb these SOB's & destroy them? These terrorists are not humans, so who cares!
7. Baruch dayan emet
Oleh   (03.16.06)
May his family be comforted amongst the mourners of Zion. This brave tsanchan died so that may we live; part of him will live on in all Israelis who continue to lead normal lives. May he be the last of our children to fall defending our state. Love
8. Why?
Ram ,   London   (03.16.06)
Why does the state of Israel insist on being so "under the thumb" of the international community. Why risk the lives of our youg men when the terrorist scum can be liquidated from a distance? What is the US policy in Iraq and Afghanistan? Don't they just practically carpet bomb any area where "insurgents" are suspected of being? This policy is ok for every other country except for Israel? The people of Israel must "insist" that Israel adopt such a policy. The scum that this young man lost his life for use different rules. May Hashem give comfort to his family.
9. solution is simple
john ,   canada   (03.16.06)
leave palestinians alone you will live in peace. arresting and killing innocents will get you dead soldiers.. the problem is that you never learn from your mistakes. in lebanon you spent 20 years killing innocents till you actually couldnt handle it and hizbollah kicked your asses. why wait for another 20 years to realize that you are doing the same mistake in palestine ?
10. To #9 john
Josh ,   Jerusalem   (03.16.06)
What planet do you live on?!?! It even says right in the article that they were terrorists. How can you say they are innocent? Do you not think that terrorism is a crime? How blind can you be?
11. #9 jonh
keren ,   sao paulo   (03.16.06)
Could you shut up,please? "Solution"in not that simple, whereas you are too, extremely simple! Put more colours in your thoughts, they are very ,very...Can't explain at the moment! Think about,go to pray a bit,do something more deep about yourself.
12. Josh
Anwar ,   Jenin   (03.16.06)
Terrorism is a crime and so is occupation. What john is saying is simple get out there and stop this senseless crusade. Also the definition of terror is after 9/11 vague when an IDF soldies is killed on active duty in an occupied territory is not terror You have lost more soldiers in Jenin than anywhere else, and for what, to reign in 3.5 million people who want you out. Let these people get on with their lives, "Live and let Live"
13. Legal action
Leon ,   Australia   (03.16.06)
Hasnt the Israeli army/government heard of the option of aerial bombardment as oppossed to sending & risking the lives of its soldiers? Or are they caught up in worrying about their international image? If was the father of that boy, I would be taking legal action against the government.
14. To Anwar from the bomb making factory of Jenin
Leon   (03.16.06)
The only reason Israel lost a lot of soldiers & this farce has been continuing for the past (30-60 years) with the "occupation" & all, is because the stupid Israeli government has always refused to apply full military force and carpet bomb the living day lights out of you (as any normal country would do to terrorist loving, genocidal scum).
15. tragedy of our people
Robert ,   Belgium   (03.16.06)
The terrible loss of this young man shows the tragedy of our people. While others just kill their ennemies, we go about the most dangerous ways to keep the moral highground, even with the sacrifice of fine young men. Our ennemies show only dirt ( Hamas, Hezbulla, etc... ), while we show greatness. That's why Israel won all it's wars, and will go on winning all it's wars for a long time to come.

you're right but, sometimes they need them for questioning to find the masterminds... also to get some information of al qaeda activities in the region... trust me, they know exactly what to do.

Talula Belle ,   Israel   (03.16.06)
Live and let live?????? is that what you call it? hidding away in a house in Jenin planning attacks on Israeli civilians? No wonder there will never ever be peace between us, if that is your idea of live and let live.
18. Ido Shapira
Talula Belle ,   Israel   (03.16.06)
My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and everyone close to him. Israel does not forget its heroes. I hope and pray that Ido is at peace as he wanted to be. Bless you, Hero.
19. Goverment policy responsible for Idos death
richard Hitchings ,   methil   (03.16.06)
Lets face it...The IDF had no business being in Jenin..The Hero Refugee camp.. world famous for its resistance to IDF intimidation. Poor Ido paid the price of a stupid goverment policy.
20. Its time we started acting like other armies
(03.16.06)
No need to pity, close on the house and let them know they have 10 minutes to surrender before it is brought down on their heads.

Linda   (03.16.06)
We got out of Gaza, did it help? No, we got more shit. i think it is time to go back :))))
22. Ido's death was for nothing
Tomer ,   Savyyon   (03.16.06)
No need to send the troops into Jenin. Just bomb the city until it no longer exists a la dresden. Remember No PLO =No terror
23. Leading cause of death among IDF is still SUICIDE.
Mo   (03.16.06)
Look it up. It's not 'terror' or shooting or anything else. Most Israeli soldiers die because they kill themselves. So #4, they're not risking their lives at all, for the most part.
24. To Josh,
(03.16.06)
Not everyone labelled by Israel as a terrorist is really a terrorist. USA, Israel, and many other parties label people who they want to demonise as terrorists. That does not carve it on stone that they are. It does not prove it or disprove it because the labeller is illegitimate greedy and injust methodically! what are you talking about? you who live on a different planet. Many of my talks are filtered, hopefully this one won't be!
25. to Leon.
(03.16.06)
Is that your morality! you would like them to carpet bombard Jenin as a whole? You do not want them (so called terrorists) to be brought to justice, you'd like to kill them directly? what is the difference between their ideology and yours? both start by killing. The only difference is that they did it under pressure, you do by your tanks, F16s, cannons, etc. What a farce!
26. to #23
keren ,   sao paulo   (03.16.06)
Infortunetly,I've heard about that. And the only thing I know is that something must be done ,in order to bring back the faith ,the hope and the love for living for Israeli people. Something must be done;a solution must be found.
27. small gift!!
Jon ,   LA   (03.16.06)
I hope more will get the same end. Israel is really the source of terror for all the world.I hope the world will get the message before it is too late!!!
28. Leon and Linda
Anwar ,   Jenin   (03.16.06)
Linda, first I thank you for a civilized discussion. Yes getting out of Gaza did not fully cure the security situation but since then there were no Israeli deaths in Gaza and much less deaths on the Palestinian side. That is a hell of an improvement. Now for the Qassam's, yes these actions are wrong and are part of a rivalry between factions over reactions to target killings in Gaza and IDF actions in the WB. Israel is the stronger party in the conflict and therefore it can take steps on the ground to reduce the points of friction between both people, reduce exposure, little by little the only Palestinians and Israelis left killing each other are the most radical of both societies and then Leon can carpet bomb them. Linda I see things differently, many Israelis felt that Israel was weak when they disengaged from Gaza, to me I felt then that is when Israel is strongest. Israel is weak when it acts as it did in Jericho. On the other hand Palestinians are strongest when they are nonviolent. Today we are both very weak. Keep the faith
29. A Fallen Hero....

keren ,   sao paulo   (03.16.06)
Are you another micro-brain that know only envy? Can't you see yourself? Can't you see how small and incapable you are? You are one those sorts that, when jews were persecuted, were the first ones to go plunder their riches. Yeah, you are one of those! You are that type who has a mediocre job and stay all day cursing your boss. Yeah, you are less than nothing.
