No amount of geriatric-born pro Israel propaganda can reverse the tide of anti-Israel world sentiment. And, why? Because the Israeli government is apparently bent on a program of self destruction for the sake of keeping several hundred thousand squatters on another peoples' land. It is the irony of ironies that a people who claim to be so intelligent can act so foolishly!

In 1948, Egypt invaded Gaza, ethnically cleansing ALL Jews. In 1948, Jordan invaded Judea, Samaria and east Jerusalem, ethnically cleansing ALL Jews. Jordan destroyed 58 synagogues in Jerusalem. The Jewish land, homes, properties & businesses stolen from the Jews in the 1948 Islamic invasion must never be forgotten. The return to Jewish ownership of these stolen assets MUST be an urgent human rights issue brought up constantly in homes, schools, social activities, cultural events, synagogues and by the wonderful pensioners.

Excellent approach to two difficult problems - how to enable retired elderly to feel relevant and useful; how to rebut pervasive pro-Palestinian/anti-Israel content on the Net. My experience has been that quiet, rational emphasis on pre- and early-statehood realities, the exaggerated basis of palestinian claims, and the persistent Arab undermining of Israel's peace overtures and survival carry the most weight. Add in Israel's cultural and technical contributions, and people are sold. They are not persuaded by loud claims of victimization or of generic anti-semitism, or by shrill denial or justification of Israel's part in the conflict. Unfortunately it is easier to find the latter than the former on the Net, and it plays into palestinian hands.
