Europe to suspend PA aid    Reuters
1. Collective voting for terrorism will bring collective
consequences - what did they think ? That terrorism is Legal ? The US and EU - etc- are knowing very well they can be sued by victims - for being a third party to terrorism that's what concerns them - not the fact that Israel gets destroyed
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (04.07.06)
2. Just desserts
Considering all statements emanating from the Hamas govt thusfar, is it any wonder aid to the PA keep getting cut to subsistence humanitarian levels? Keep it up Hamas. Bring more ruination to your people. Keep offering those BS hudnas. Your people are probably regretting they put a check next to the box when they voted fro you. You've to the world on one side and ISrael on the other. You will give before anyone else does. If I'm Israel, I dont make a single move until they agree to ALL conditions the world wants (recognition, arms off the streets, acountability, etc etc.) The onus is on Hamas.

7. Stop the hatred
Money will not solve the issue. We're actually in a lose lose situation with money and the PA. If we give them money, they buy more weapons and bombs and train more suicide bombers to attack Israel. If we cut off money to the PA, they have less resources for terrorism, but poverty breeds more hatred wich fuels terrorism, therefore we don't solve anything. The only way to stop the radical Islamic ideology of hate towards Jews is by the Palestinians themselves realizing their own wrongdoings. They must stop preaching hatred to their children and learn to live with the rest of the world in peace.

8. Here comes the whining
Over and over we hear the hamass leadership proclaim they don't need the funding of the "statanic west" yet over and over they whine when the Western nations announce they will not fund the terrorists. When it comes down to it, on the part of the terrorists, it IS money over their violent beliefs.Besides, without funding, how will Suha maintain the Paris mansion?;orhamass maintain the 'retreats' for the virgins (in the West they are called brothels)?;or how will the Swiss bank accounts rmain full? Would you like some cheese with that whine?
Arie   (04.07.06)
9. Off goes the maintenance program....
...on Mercedes cars used by the PA authority, off goes the VIP Dinners or lunches abroad ( Jordan for instance, no names, no date, not yet ) of goes the bank accounts in Jersey and the Cayman Islands.... Let s see how much are the "arab nations" willing to commit to that feudal part of the middle east and to the " freedom fighters" who are praising suicide as a way of life and instillating hatred to the new generation, as the NSDAP did in the early 30's to get ready for " The final solution "

11. Israel will rescue the Palestinians
Israel is so enslaved to the will of the nations that it goes out of it's way not to defeat the Palestinian's and end this war. Israel is afraid ,fearful and enjoys it's servitude to Europe ,the U.S. and assorted Quartet powers. Israel is so ensnared to world Opinion that it has lost all rational thought and always bends to their demands which endanger their shrinking state. Because the average Jew has no faith in their God they have no other option but to bow to the will of the nations and go along with the suicidal Road Map which never delivers peace. This lack of faith has enslaved them and weakened Israel as a nation wherein the Palestinian's can do to the Jews and Israel what was unthinkable only a decade ago and Israel is INCAPABLE of ending the threat or saying no more to the nations. This is the way of fearful and faithless people who trust in lies. Jeremiah 17;5.

12. Oh no, not the horrid "collective punishment" lie again. Oh!
Bunnie Meyer ,   Santa Monica, CA   (04.07.06)
13. #5 Caligula's Horse
"Look at the roads and buildings in Gaza! Where did all the hundreds of billions of dollars they recived go?" They were stolen by the previous Fatah government. They used them for nice fancy cars, big villas, trips to Europe, expensive accessories for their sons and daughters, etc... And now that the Palestinians have voted them out for a group that wouldn't spend money on such things, the money is cut off entirely. Either way the population never sees the money. Hamas membes live in homes that are much like many of the 'normal' Palestinians, as opposed to the mansions and villas occupied by Abu Mazen, Dahlan and their likes.
Mo   (04.07.06)
14. Are Hamas voters expecting a reward?
The majority of Palestinians voted Hamas for their promises of Palestinian Stafe from the sea through the Jordan River instead of the annihilated State of Israel. Their massive vote reflects their collective will which brings now collective reaction from the international community. They call such a reaction "collective punishment", but in fact this is a move for collective defense because nobody wants to back the terror in the Middle East first and then to see it spreading all over the globe. Many countries still remember the bitter taste of terrorism at the very threshold of their homes. Hopefully they will keep strong and will not give up to the pictures of starving palestinian children. If they do, they should first start showing charity from Darfour or Haiti.

15. Arie gets the award for 'most played out, overused slogan'
"Would you like some cheese with that whine?" Cool, Arie, we've heard that like 1,000,000 times already, I don't think anyone uses that phrase since the '90's. Come up with something new! :)

16. 11Marcel ,Florida: you got a serious problem
you have a personality problem - go out in the world and make friends if Florida - you are a problematic youngster with No idea about Israel - Keep away - look after your Florida problesm and Islam spreading in your campuses

18. #15 Mo - If the phrase fits use it
Are you upset that the phrase fits,or that the world is tired of the palestinian whining? Well, here's another one for you Haniyeh: I'll send ministers to Europe to return aid Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh said during a sermon he delivered at the Friday prayers in the Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis that he plans on sending Palestinian ministers abroad to encourage the countries of the world to renew the financial aid to the Palestinian Authority. Haniyeh said that the PA would be ready to give the countries all the required guarantees in return for continuing the aid. (Ali Waked)
Arie   (04.07.06)
19. Hey - mo,did you notice the whining has begun?
Cheese time! Arie   (04.07.06)
20. Hey Arie, no need to send the same message twice.
I heard you the first time. So what's your point? Hamas said they would give Europe anything they needed in return for aid? Great, that's good news. Hamas should recognize Israel and should stop their attacks (which they have 18 months ago). So I don't see your point, seems like a great big of news to me! :)
Mo   (04.07.06)
21. Mother of Invention
you know what they say, necessity is the mother of invention. Withdraw all "aid" to Hamas-they will then have to move down a path towards "earning" a paycheck, like developing a legit business economy. How will they ever stand on their own two feet if the world just hands then money for nothing? Outrageous!
dave ,   Dallas USA   (04.07.06)

Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (04.07.06)
24. I agree with Marcel
Israel is INCAPABLE of ending the threat or saying no more to the nations This is reality. The nations are running Israel and are destroying Israel bit by bit.

25. UNRWA - Funding TERRORISM Against JEWS
Pull the Plug on UNRWA! Halting aid to the P.A. means nothing if funds shift to the 'humanitarian' front - Jonathan S. Tobin The United States and the European Union will be diverting a lot of the money that supported the P.A. kleptocracy to humanitarian aid. The only problem is that the humanitarian group that will receive the lion's share of the aid is one of the most thoroughly politicized and terrorist-infiltrated organizations in the world: the United Nations Relief and Works Agency. For 56 years, UNRWA has been the symbol of the world's double standard about the war on Israel by the Arab world. While the United Nations deals with the rest of the world's refugees with a single agency - the U.N. High Commission for Refugees - the Palestinian refugees have their very own agency - UNRWA - with a particular mission. ...UNRWA exists to keep the Palestinians alive exactly where they are, so they can serve as justification for continued conflict with Israel. A Terror Stronghold ...UNRWA's record is one of complicity not only with the political ends of the Palestinian movement, but with its violent tactics as well. UNRWA's employees are uniformly Palestinian, and many are members not only of mainstream Palestinian terror factions such as Fatah, but of the Islamist Hamas group as well. UNRWA suffered a major embarrassment when its former director, the Norwegian bureaucrat Peter Hansen, admitted as much two years ago, saying it was no big deal. Indeed, in the recent Palestinian election, a number of UNRWA workers were Hamas parliamentary candidates. But why should Hansen - who helped spread the lie that Israeli forces had committed a massacre of civilians in the Jenin refugee camp in 2002 - worry about terrorist infiltration? The man lied not only about the casualties of Jenin, in which Hamas and Fatah gunmen fought pitched battles against Israelis who were seeking to destroy terror bases after Palestinian suicide bombings, but also told tales about the fact that this and other UNRWA camps were, in fact, longstanding U.N.-subsidized strongholds of Palestinian terror groups. Hansen and UNRWA - and their boss, Kofi Annan - have used the prestige of their "humanitarian" perch to routinely bash Israel for its attacks on the camps, but almost never mention the fact that Israel is reacting to Palestinian terror. But again, this is because the U.N. has always turned a blind eye to the fact that the camps under its jurisdiction were the places where terrorist atrocities are planned and launched. UNRWA employees have used its facilities to shield terrorists from Israel, and even used its ambulances to transport both the killers and the weapons. UNRWA identification documents have also been used for the same purpose. Hamas also operates its new television station from the relative safety of a mosque in the UNRWA Jabalya camp. Moreover, the plentiful cash that flows from the United States Treasury to UNRWA (30 percent of the agency's $400 million budget comes courtesy of American taxpayers) is actually a violation of U.S. law. The U.S. Foreign Assistance Act requires UNRWA to assure that American money does not go to terrorists. That is an assurance that UNRWA cannot credibly give. http://www.jewishexponent.com/ViewArticle.asp?ArtID=2757
