Talking about tinkle, pubes - she needs to stop describing her potty times with us.
62. NO NO NO!!!
Michael Steiner ,   EU   (04.08.06)
Most people here know that I, for one, have been advocating a military resolution to the problem with Iran for a long time for the simple reason that this diplomacy shmiplomacy nonsense is not going to work. But the use of nuclear weapons against Iran or anyone elseis TOTALLY, UTTERLY and UNCONDITIONALLY U-N-A-C-C-E-P-T-A-B-L-E. It would be nothing but genocide and I would be the first to take up arms against US interests were it to do that. There are plenty of other tactics available and these have to be employed. If Bush hadn't lanched his illegal aggression on Iraq (which, incidentally, is what gave impetus to the rise and arrogance of Akhmadinejad) at the behest of his oil buddies and all based on flagrant lies, he would now have an even bigger palette of options to choose from militarily and politically. But even so, use of nuclear weapons is OUT OF THE QUESTION!!!

Reality is your burning to have a more elaborated vocabular - and its just getting you mad - Go and play with Yossi - he loves your kind
64. Voltaire and Mrs.goldwater : an oxymoron
john ,   london   (04.08.06)
(1) Voltaire lived in Ferney, France, near Geneve, much more than three years (2) he said he was ready to die not to kill... (3) he was the epitome of tolerance, of humor, of elegance, three qualities you totally lack
65. john ,london: he lived also in Geneva 1775 -1778
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (04.09.06)
if you like it or not - Voltaire said: The phrase "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" .......... Now you really show to have a problem - you cannot stand when others catch you Try harder neyt time OK you don't impress me one bit - grow up
66. John in London is the oxymoron or Wise fool when it comes to
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (04.09.06)
Tolerance - you cannot bear that others - don't agree with You - you are terrified of the Conservative ideas - and become a legend of a raving ranter
67. 62# Roosevelt probably brought on WWII
(04.08.06)
and gave rise to Hitler and Hiro Hito too. What a lame argument. The Iranians voted in a nut. The palestinians voted in a Hamas. Humans are born, wars are committed. History regulates itself. Akhmadinejad is a puppet of the Mullahs. They have control of the country. Just because you dislike Bush, doesn't mean every change in History, such as weather, can be attributed to him. Low grade Nukes are just a bigger stick of TNT meant to cause less civilian casualties. Iran could of stopped the centrifuges from spinning any time they chose too.
68. 62 - america won't use nuclear arms against iran FIRST
mike ,   usa   (04.08.06)
you should worry more about iran using them - they're just crazy enough to do it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shi%27a_Imams Different Shia sects believe in different numbers of imams. Imams are holy people which, under Shia ideology, are descendants of Ali. The most famous of the Imams is Hussein. Anyway, different sects of Shia Islam believe in different numbers, and that means that Mahdi, the last imam, can have a different number based on the sect. However, regarding Iranians, he is generally considered the 12th imam. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahdi According to the above website, he will arrive onto a "normal" world, become a leader, and purify the earth in anticipation of judgment day. As a result, I really don't see how I lost any "credibility". I tried to clarify this as much as I could, but its still a complicated subject and changes between sects of Sunnis and Shia...
72. 68# They are doing a very large underground test
(04.09.06)
in Nevada at the Nevada Test Site on June 2nd. The amount of fertilzer they are using to make the detonation occur, makes it inconceivable that this bomb could be carried by a plane. It's to simulate how much force would be needed to blow through bunkers of a hardened site. A low grade nuclear weapon. A bunker buster. Just enough blast to destroy the bunker, but leave the population intact. Why would they be simulating this explosion 150 miles from St. George Utah, which is down wind of these experiments otherwise. Search (St. George Utah, The Spectrum). They are complaining about this experimental blast in todays news.
73. I just wanna know...

....why USA did not blow Iran away back when Reagan took office in his first term? We could have done away with worlds problem then.. and took idiot Iranian pres to be out before he even took office.
74. The time has come

The extremists who hijacked this country will finally meet there match. I can only hope the people of this country will rise up in the aftermath and retake control of this once great country. Long live Israel and long live peace around the world.
75. #43, the moron
Sigfried S. Kuhn ,   Aberdeen   (04.09.06)
Sean, besides being an idiot, you are an absolute ignoramus about semantics, history, and logical reasoning. First, China never threatened to destroy Taiwan. It claims Taiwan as a province of China and if it ever goes to war against the Nationalist Chinese, it will be a continuation of a civil waqr that would not become nuclear as Taiwan does not have nuclear capabilities and is vastly outnumbered. Likewise Tibet. China is not exacty a paragon of virtue but it did not destroy Tibet or commit genocide against Tibet. It also is not a state sponser of terrorism as Iran is. Now, you fool. Iran has often threatened a nuclear holocaust against Israel. Obviously, you don't read or are incapable of comprehending what you read because of how stupid and bigoted you are. One of the prominent mullahs bragged that one nuke would destroy Israel and Iran would survive even if Israel killed 20,000,000 Iranians. Your poison gas scenerio is interesting Sean. Do you mean Zyklon B gas? What in your demented and obscene brain would even make you think of another round of poison gas against Jews? Do you know how Israel would respond to a poison gas attack after so many millions of Jews were gassed to death by the nazis or is that also not part of your stupid and bigoted world? Would the poison gas kill as many people as a nuke and would it kill Palestinians also? Finally, your statement about Iranian Jews is just so moronic that only a nonhuman could write it. Iranian Jews are persecuted, just as the Bahai are persecuted in Iran. They try to keep a low profile and thank g-d have not been systematically slaughtered althougfh there was an incident of Iranian Jews sentenced to death on trumped up charges.
76. propaganda
Alexander ,   Balad   (04.09.06)
Every one missile or small tactical mini nuke made in Demona launched towards Iran by the USA or IDFwill unleash a dozen unstoppable SS-25 Sunburn or Yakhont made in Russia missiles in return. Time to stock up bomb shelters and replace dried out rubber gasmask straps. Shalom!
77. It will happen somehow!
Ram ,   London   (04.09.06)
Whilst not much credit was given to Israel at the time for the Osirak bombing, the world came round to appreciate the favour. The writer is not in a position to have any inside info on US plans with regard to Iran. He is only guessing what has become fairly obvious; that Iran has to be stopped from acquiring the A bomb. Iran will be stopped. By whom or what means? We can only guess. It is only logical that that whatever strategy will be used in Iran's case will have to be tactical and top secret. Iran is not Iraq. It is much more powerful. Should Iran not make a u-turn in trying to attain the bomb, probably the US and the EU will decide to tackle the problem. Israel is likely to be asked to join. Should Russia and China not support the idea it will not make the blindest bit of difference. They are highly unlikely to start WW3 for Iran's sake.
78. usa to use nuclear bomb B61-11 EPW
debra ,   usa   (04.09.06)
president bush has decided the usa has to use the nuclear bunker busting bomb, B61-11 EPW because conventional weapons cannot strike deep enough to reach iran's underground nuclear sites. the B61-11 EPW is a 1000 kiliton nuclear weapon that will be dropped by the stealth bomber. you can find hersh's article at new yorker.com. saturday's london daily telegraph has diagrams of the bomb and more valuable information about the planned attack. 67% of americans support military action against iran in a recent poll. it looks like a go. god bless the usa and israel in this undertaking against the new hitler.
79. Bad Idea
Trevor Brooks ,   London, ON, Canada   (04.09.06)
If Bush believes that this would make the US, Israel, or any other country safer he needs be executed for criminal stupidity. If he does this, all bets are off, it will be the opening of Pandora's box. There will be a domino effect, China will decide that since the US can use nukes in a 'preventitive' attack, Taiwan will be glowing, which will require a response which would almost certainly be Japan re-arming which would mean North Korea probably attacking South Korea. North Korea can't defeat South Korea in a conventional war, and if North Korea uses WMD on the South, the US will respond in kind in the North and the Russians and Chinese aren't going to be happy about that which would be all the impetus Putin would need to attack the former Soviet Republics, some of which are NATO which would require a response from Germany, Italy, Turkey, Britain, France, Spain, Poland, Netherlands and create another front for the US to fight on. If Bush does this, the world will never be the same. Global Peace right now is a deck of cards. There are so many other localised tensions that could explode with the slightest spark, and any global incident that diverts major attention away from them will be the spark. God help us all if this happens, but not even he will be able to save us.
80. Hipocracy!

Oh sure.. the country with the most nuclear weapons in the world use them against another country because "maybe" they might get a few too.. Makes so much sense.

To not address Miss and Mrs. - many women are using Ms. - since it doesn't refer to any marital or none marital status In order to avoid labeling women according to their attachment to men, the title Ms. as a term parallel to Mr. 2nd: I again hate to burst your bubble - I am married for ages - and doing great - having 5 grandchildren Now - since your bubble is burst and one has educated you about the use of Ms. You can go back to sleep

84. 81 - Just a mean old lady then

85. Bush's delusions of grandeur
Laura   (04.09.06)
"He said that the President believes that he must do 'what no Democrat or Republican, if elected in the future, would have the courage to do,” and “that saving Iran is going to be his legacy.'" ....................... Bush believes only he alone has the "courage" to face up to Iran and only he alone could save Iran and thus the world. I think this man is bordering on megalomania. Or perhaps he is merely overcompensating for the fact that he never had the courage to actually serve in combat and is thus living vicariously through the actions of real soldiers. I'm quite sure that any future president will respond to any threat from Iran or elsewhere as has been done by presidents in the past.
86. Re: 75
sean ,   buffalo, USA   (04.09.06)
1. China is a state sponsor of terrorism against it's own people. It has displaced 2 million people because of the Olympics; the government uses hired thugs to beat up farmers fighting to keep their land. They are even well known for the overall censorship stops the Chinese people from truly being free (like the Iranian government). Secondly, who in their right mind says that "China has never threatened to destroy Taiwan" and later says "if China ever goes to war with Taiwan..."? Let me clue you in, war = destruction. Taiwanese don't want the Chinese government, they have a democracy, and by not supporting them you might as well be in Iran along with the democracy-hating mullahs. Lastly, I want you to give any act of genocide that Iranians have committed in the past 2500 years. Go ahead, name just one. The fact of the matter is Iran hasn't committed genocide against any people nor engaged in total warfare tactics in its 2500-year existence. 2. You are an idiot. No mullah could have said what you have said unless they go against the fatwa by the supreme leader. That would be equivalent to treason and, as such, that "prominent" mullah would no longer be of this earth. 3. I mean any chemical weapon, which, if spread using any airplane or multiple explosions could kill the exact amount of Israelis as a nuclear weapon and kill Palestinians as well. In other words, more complicated but it could have the same efficacy as a nuclear explosion. They have the ability to produce WMDs, they have the terrorists to do it, and they certainly have the capital to finance such an operation. So why don't they do it, even though they could cover their tracks like they've done in the past? Because they are pragmatic along with being zealous. The foreign policy decisions of Iran have always been realistic and very cautious. They will not use any WMD or else any other country can respond using WMDs. Aka they're fanatical, but not suicidal. 4. Iranian Jews are protected by Ayatollah Khomeni's own words. Everywhere you see his picture in Iran, you also see his edict that Jews will always be accepted in Iran. As such, the revolutionary nut jobs can't do a single thing to Jews and, as a result, in no way shape or form are persecuted. This comes also from the fact that a majority of Iranian Jews aren't for the state of Israel. These two factors combined is the real reason why Jews aren't persecuted (they aren't a threat).
87. 86
mike ,   usa   (04.09.06)
you say in point #3 that iran is "fanatical, but not suicidal" - that is debatable. when islamic factions have no qualms with the death and dismemberment of fellow muslims from their attacks then what reason is there to protect palestinians from harm? their primary goal is the removal of zionists from the land of palestine, with the supposed palestinian national movement as a means to that end. the ongoing palestinain deaths in the conflict accomplish nothing except bad press for israel, a price iran is more than willing to pay.
88. Re: 87
sean ,   buffalo, usa   (04.10.06)
I was referring to the Iranian leadership, and it has been time and time again proven that their foreign policy strategies try to maximize their standing within Iran and elsewhere while minimizing any potential threat to their leadership. That includes any WMD retaliation by Israel which would no doubt cripple the entire country. In that regard they are not suicidal and would not do anything that would jeopardize their power or lives. That being said, I have honestly no clue what the Iranian government views in Palestinian life. Do they really fight for Palestinians or is it a front to simply hold off Israeli power? I don't know. But, if they are actually Iranian in mentality, they shouldn't really care about the lives of Arabs. Most Iranians hold degrading views of Arabs (aka they are inferior) so I don't think they won't use nukes because of safeguarding Palestinian life but only to safeguard themselves. Lastly, I don't include the president of Iran in any calculation. He's a good speaker, but he holds no military power. So I don't see why Israelis view him as a threat. He's a man with strong, misguided beliefs and his title simply allows him to act as a cheerleader.
89. Iran
John Wiggins ,   USA   (04.10.06)
Our President is exactly right when it comes to Iran. I'm 59 yrs old and have watched Russia and Iran very closely. Iran and Russia are a threat to the world. Taking out Iran would be a very wise decision even if Iran does send more terrorist abroad. They must be stopped at all cost or it will cost us all, Much More!!
90. White americans pretending to be taiwanese
Taiwanese ,   Taipei, Taiwan   (04.10.06)
From our last election the pro independence Chen Shiu Bien won only by 3000 votes after an iffy staged assassination. At the current poll, due to the president's constant threat to intimidate china, his popularity keeps falling. Instead pro unification Ma Ling Jiou will most likely be our president in the next election. To be honest most taiwanese relate to china more than white americans because first of all we speak chinese (mandarin, people in province of fukien speak taiwanese, taiwanese is known as fukien in china, this language is also spoken by chinese in south east asia) and we share the same culture. 60% of us wants to remain status quo-- which means no change, leave the unification option open and dont intimidate the mainland. Taiwan's economy is very tightly knitted with the mainland and so does the mainlands' ties with taiwan. So a war would only hurt both sides. Plus if you talk to mainlanders most of them share the same chinese ideology that we will not destroy what belongs to ours. The only weapon China would use against Taiwan in a war and most taiwanese knows this, is blockade. I think you watch too much fox news, please watch some taiwan tv before you say shit like that.
