1. 100 Artillery shells for every Qassam!
R ,   Free World   (04.11.06)
They wanted Gaza - they got Gaza! If the Qassams don't stop - turn it into a parking lot.
2. More Palestinian Newspeak
js ,   israel   (04.11.06)
More Palestinian propaganda . Riyad Mansour really means that Israel must stop any attacks on the Palestinians, but the Palestinians have "the right to resist the occupation". What does that mean? It's simply newspeak meaning Palestinians say they have the right to kill Israeli men women and children. In Palestinian newspeak, "right-to-resist" = kill as many Israelis as possible.
3. "proportional" response stupid, harsh response needed.

THE MYTH OF "WE WERE HERE FIRST" AND GOD PROMISED THE LAND (ISRAEL/PALESTINE) TO THE JEWS Orwell explained that "those who control the present control the past, and those who control the past control the future." He meant they control the public mind by directing the flow of information including writing the history - the past as they want us to believe it. The notion Israelis want all Jews and everyone else to believe is that what is now the State of Israel was once a barren land first occupied only when the Jews arrived. Baloney. The truth is evinced by a wealth of historical and archeological evidence that civilization flourished on that land at least 1,000 years before the Jews arrived and maybe much longer. The one preceding the arrival of Jews was a Canaanite civilization that became completely Arabized after Arab invaders first came in the 7th century A.D. That transformed society became the ancestral heritage of the Palestinian people by the end of the 7th century, although the term Palestine originated with the Philistines and was used by the Roman Empire. From that early time until the State of Israel was created in 1948, the land was called Palestine, and its people, a huge Arab majority, were called Palestinians. The origin of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict goes back to the late 19th century and the founding of Zionism. The proximate cause for its founding was virulent anti-semitism, especially in czarist Russia, and the belief by some Jews that only in a Jewish state would Jews be safe from persecution. The early Zionists were willing to consider any location but finally agreed on Palestine because of its biblical connection. They early on created the myth of calling Palestine "a land without people for a people without a land", and they just came to reclaim their ancestral home. They ignored the fact that the so-called "empty land" had a flourishing population of Palestinian Arabs and few Jews. But their real plan was to completely dispossess the indigenous Arab population and create a wholly Jewish state for Jews alone. They were aided by the duplicitous British after WW I who made Palestine part of their empire and in their 1917 Balfour declaration gave its support for a Jewish homeland there while at the same time promising the Arabs the land would become independent. Once the Palestinian Arabs caught on to the Zionists' real intentions, they understood the threat to their own existence and strongly opposed further Jewish immigration. Had it not been for the political and military support from the British colonial ruler, the Zionist goal for a Jewish state never would have been realized. With that support, immigration continued, the real threat of dispossession grew, and therein lay the root of the intractable conflict that continues to this day with no sign of resolution.

Over half a century later and you still haven't "prevailed". Instead you choose to live in squalid refugee camps in poverty, unemployment and self-inflicted misery, and weep over your fate. Stop whining over the past. As the saying goes in arabic, illi faat maat, whats been done is done. Choose life instead of death, pick yourselves up and move forward

this is a good poem - I especially liked the bull and balls line - but are you really in San Francisco? I had heard that the natives never call it Frisco themselves?
9. History? What a heck...
Uri ,   Australia   (04.11.06)
History is not important. According to it, israelis and palestinians are right, pending to whom you listen... As a fact, Israel is a reality. It exists and has to prevail. Israel have to act as would any country attacked by missails. A very harsh and decisive strike. Not half measures of "proportional retaliation", but iron hand, devastating response. The international comunity will have its say for 3-4 days and will calm down. This kind of situation can't continue. Will be civilian victims? They will be only once and the rest of remaining alive, will be willing to negociate a two state solution. Israel has the strength and has to use it. Actual retaliations are just a bull shit.

The Arabs, after Muhammad came as conquerors. The fact is there has always lived Jews on their own soil. In Hebron without interruption 3000 years until the mass murder committed by your fellow Arabs. The Britons, while limiting heavily Jewish immigration, were aware of an uncontrooled Arabic influx in twenties and thirties predominantly from neighbouring Arabic areas being nowadays Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt. The Jews will prevail, not the Arabs, except in Arabic countries.
11. Arab calls for a UN resolution against Israel
Graham Karp ,   Sydney, Australia   (04.11.06)
While Middle East watches will once again despair at the seemingly never-ending cycle of tit-for-tat killings, there is actually a tiny tiny glimmer of hope in the latest call for a UN resolution against Israel. It appears as though even some Arab states are sick and tired of the one-sided drafts, and have actually also called for the same resolution to condemn attacks on Israel by the Palestinians. If what I read is true, some are also openly calling for Hamas to recognise Israel, renounce violence and stop the slaughter of innocent Israeli's. While I'm not niaive enough to believe this will sway Hamas, there is some hope in the slight moderation of some of the Arab nations.

Why don't you give the author's name of that piece you copied and pasted? Although I totally disagree with Stephen Lendman, the author of that article, I'm sure he does not appreciate when people copy and paste his articles to try to pass them off as their own. Shame on you.
13. to joseph - somme figures
john ,   london   (04.11.06)
british census - 1922 - 770,000 moslems, 70,000 christians and 81,000 jews. Yes only 81,000 after alya 1 and 2. Like in Egypt, the arab invaders were a tiny minority : they converted, a little by a little, the native population from christianism and judaism to islam. There are still christians in Egypt and in the Holy Land.
14. Has history taught the muHAMedans nothing?
Arie   (04.11.06)
Folow saddam's lead: He gave Kofi Annan's son some money and a car and all of a sudden Kofi couldn't do enough to protect the savings account known as sadda hussein. The Annan family is easily bough - perhaps a Ferrri or HUMMER and a years worth of petrol and watch the onslaught!
15. U.N. Moral Obligation: CONDEMN PA INCITEMENT TO MASS MURDER
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (04.11.06)
Jews are not safe in Muslim areas around the world. Muslims live and walk in safety in Israel, and Jewish areas around the world. There is no U.N. and world condemnation for Islam's non-stop terror attacks against Infidel Jews - victims of global jihad. Arab Muslim children and adults train in terrorist training camps. Ambulances transport terrorists, weapons and bomb belts. Stabbings, shootings, fire-bombings, stonings, drive-by shootings, bombs planted, grenade attacks, rocket and mortar attacks, lynchings, human bomb murder attacks. A very murderous PA society supported by American and European tax dollars, are united in the goal of Islamic conquest of all Israel - a major victory for global jihad. The raison d'etre of the genocidal PA society is the mass murder of Jewish innocents. Palestinian Authority society are taught murdering Jews is the highest goal in life and attains paradise: http://www.pmw.org.il/AFD.html

I didn't even finish reading what ytou wrote, but still Isee that you are brainwashed beyond reason and there is no hope for you. People like you do not prevail, they die!!! Israelis do not teach their children to blow themselves up, your people do. Israelis do not brainwash their citizens through lies and deceit, your people do. The whole international community is trying to help Palestinains change their ways, but fdr some reason, it's not working. That reason is brainwashing since birth. I pity you.
17. of course they are crying to the UN.
DR ,   Florida, USA   (04.12.06)
The UN hates Israel. They held a meeting for the solidarity of the Palestinain cause and showed a map with NO ISAREL. Lets get real here, the UN is and American made joke to please the world and let them think they have some say. The truth is, the US can veto any UN resolution and protect and defend countries like Israel. If we really let these morons in the UN make decisions, life on earth would be a lot different.
18. New Article on UN proves my point
DR ,   Florida, USA   (04.14.06)
Bolton just vetoed a UN proposal by the Arab countries to condemn Israeli actions...sorry said the US. The UN is one big anti Israel movement. When Syria is on the security counsel, it must be a joke.
