1. They are COMPLETELY right!
keren ,   sao paulo   (04.16.06)
What's that?Once they were encouraged to build their houses there, roads were built, everything was structured that way, because once a government thought so. Now,a crazy government took over and want to change everything? What are these people :stupid puppets? Olmert wants TO PUT AN END in Sionism, and he will push for it ,in an IRON style!People who want Israel for Jews ,as it has to be,must be aware! This man is a very dangerous person in charge for Israel!
2. Six Years
Piranha ,   Chicago, IL   (04.16.06)
It is hard to see how the Kadima/Peres government can be blamed for closing the road. The article said that this Wallerstein route has been closed for six years! Or is there more to the story?
3. # 2 This process started at Oslo in the 90ths!
keren ,   sao paulo   (04.16.06)
It is being implemented now. It is a matter to know whether Israelis really desire it or not. It is their choice!
4. YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHIN' YET11
Chaya ,   Bat Yam   (04.16.06)
This is just the beginning!
5. YOUTHS RIOT.MILLIONS DEAD. STATE OVERTHROWN
Yoel Ariel ,   US   (04.16.06)
Or not. Just another case of the Olmert/Sharon Think continuing with children and teens getting the crap kicked out of them by the IDF & Yassam Muzihks playing a nifty game of Kishenev on the Jordan. Nothing to see here folks. Cue Convergance music. Lower the houselights and hit Olmert with a baby Blue spot. Shhhhhhh! It's his opening number.
6. #3 desire what?! what about the Arab desire?
Michael ,   Israel   (04.16.06)
desire qassams to land in my backyard in pre49 borders?! no Because we will withdraw from Jewish land with no international recognition nor peace. No I don't desire civi war nor do I desire national Suicide. For a process that has failed. Just because Politicians start something doesn't mean it is written in stone nor is it ordained with success despite it being a failure. The Israelis have shown over and over again. There is no country that could could come close to israel in showing a TRUE intent under the most hostile environment. It is time for the onus to be put on the arab's desire for peace not Israel.
7. False report
Ilan ,   Ariel   (04.16.06)
This report is false. At one point a group of 4 teenage girls sat in the road and prevented a truck from moving for about 10 minutes, and then were pushed out of the way by poolice. One or two were arrested. No one threw anything at least not between 11:00 an 13:30
8. Israel's Leaders GIVES VICTORY to PLO-HAMAS-AL-QAIDA
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (04.16.06)
Hamas is part of the worldwide Muslim Brotherhood whose goal is subjugating the entire world under Islamic rulers governed by sharia law. The current leader of the international Muslim Brotherhood, Mahdi 'Akef stated: "I have complete faith that Islam will invade Europe and America." Hamas Charter: "There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad..." Suicidal Israeli leaders, concerned only with pleasing the U.S. EU and U.N. ignore the danger of a second holocaust. Aiding and abetting Islamic terrorism, instead of opposing it, Israel's leaders will go to war, Amona style - showing no mercy to the hated Infidel Jews of Judea and Samaria in a ruthless ethnic Jew cleansing on behalf of PLO/PA, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, Al-Qaida terrorists, who will be gifted Jewish land and assets - an immoral surrender to global jihadists - betraying Jews and all non-Muslims and greatly advancing the openly stated Islamo-Fascist goal of Jewish annihilation. Amona - February 1, 2006 - Kadima went to war against Jewish innocents instead of going to war against Muslim terrorists. http://www.IsraelNationalNews.com/Must-Watch http://www.israelreporter.com/
9. Closure of roads in the West Bank
spectator ,   Katmandu,Weld West B   (04.16.06)
The settlers have a point in there protest against closing the road, the settlers said that they are facing difficulties to reach there settlement because some road are closed. And in the same area (the West Bank) there are about 500 road obstacles (checkpoints, earth mounds, road blocks, trenches, earth walls ...Etc) blocking the roads for Palestinians, any Palestinian who want to travel from any community in the west bank to the other; will be faced of detoured by a closure or more. Two closures for the settlers made them breaking the law and march, 500 closures are making also the Palestinians to stand for there right of freedom of movement in there occupied land.
10. democracy rules OK
Avi ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.16.06)
After 35 years of being lead by the nose by a bunch of messianic zealots it looks like, we the Israel people, are getting the message. Living in the midst of a bunch of rabid Islamist who will not disappear does not hold water any more. Come home to Israel and stop being the tail that wags the dog. There is a difference between BetEl and Jerusalem. Only the Gushies and Hamas disagree. You can shout and scream as much as you like, you have lost it. Come quietly and peacefully and build something worthwhile within the borders of the Stae of Israel. BTW, as a family we are getting fed up putting our lives on the line in milluim and sadir for you. I had to go and endanger my life protecting you when the legal government told me to do so. Now the boot is on the other foot at long last. You lost.
11. to #10
Yiscah ,   Jerusalem   (04.16.06)
You lost, fool. Remember that when we've given our enemies EVERYTHING and they still want more. They'll never stop killing us as long as they live here. Happy army service - just remember not to try to defend yourself, or the lefties you love will throw you in jail.
12. Avi, you are not family
Ilan ,   Ariel   (04.16.06)
I'm Jewish and you seem to be something else
13. #12 He's a kadimonist
(04.16.06)
14. One hour and fifteen minutes? Boohoo!
Joe ,   Brooklyn, NY   (04.16.06)
Palestinians have to wait 12 hours at roadblocks all the time! This is a big joke! I know that you'll say something about how Palestinians are terrorists, blah, blah, blah, but the vast majority of Palestinians who suffer at roadblocks are innocent, law-abiding people who just want to live normal lives. Maybe settlers should, instead of opposing every peace move and doing everything to make Palestinians' lives miserable by keeping them from tilling their land, they should help their government reach an amicable peace so that the West Bank won't have any roadblocks for settlers or Palestinians.
15. to # 12 Who do you think you are?
Avi ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.16.06)
Get out of the mind set that everyone who does not automatically agree with you is not Jewish. There is lots of behaviour of my fellow Jews both here in Israel and abroad which I consider profoundly misguided, but it does not negate their essential Jewishness. Come to terms with the fact that the majority here voted for a pull back from the territories. Come home to Israel and get a life instead of living in cloud cuckoo land. I will not let the attitudes of our worst enemies who want our deaths dictate my mode of behaviour. I want to decide what to do and not do on it's own merits, morally and otherwise and not be concerned if it will make my enemy happy or sad. Self determination, not subjugation, that is Zionism.
16. Olmert, Don't Take This Route With Judea & Samaria
Adina Kutnicki ,   US   (04.17.06)
Closing off routes and making it more inconvenient for Arab terrorists is EXACTLY what the IDF should be doing. However, it is absoultely untenable that Jews in their homeland will be treated the same way as the terrorists. The political regime has given orders to the IDF to make life as unbearable as possible for the residents of Judea & Samaria so that it will be 'easier' to dislodge them. That is exactly what they did to the valiant residents of Gush Katif. However, this time the political regime has underestimated the resistance. The Jewish nationalists have had enough. IF their People's Army continues to act agressively towards them they will have a real fight on their hands. The biggest tragedy will be if the people no longer see the IDF as their army, but rather as their enemy.
17. Well said Avi!!
Edan ,   Beer Sheva   (04.22.06)
It makes my blood boil when I think of the parents of some of these kids, like the "hilltop youth". Just the same as the parents of the suicide bombers. Willing to sacrifice their children for a backwords ideology. Enough is enough.
