ramallah ,   ramallah   (04.17.06)
Cycle of violence continue. The dead people in Gaza, the dead people in Jenin, and every where, as we know force will not be the solution, but we need to come to our senses and you people start leaving the occupied territory as soon as possible
62. Hey London Ali
simulev ,   Sweden   (04.17.06)
Why, and what are you doing on Europan soil? http://simulev.blogspot.com/2005/05/palestine.html http://simulev.blogspot.com/2005/05/palestinians.html http://simulev.blogspot.com/2006/04/letters-from-palestine.html
63. Ali you fool...answer these questions...
DR ,   Florida, USA   (04.17.06)
Palestine is a made up name by the Romans. Israelis have lived in the area far longer then your people, so stop lying to yourself. Now aswer these questions. 1. When will Palestinians stop teaching their children to hate Jews? 2. When will Islam stop the global jihad which kills more people than Israel ever has/will? 3. When will your people find a leader who recognizes Israel's right to exist and stop terror? Why can't you deal with the reality that Israel does everything in self defence? Palestinians don't value thier own children's life, but we should? Get real, you live in London where we saw the same barbaric culture blow up buses.
64. A bad mistake was made
yakov shani ,   afula   (04.17.06)
in Israel today. MK Yossi beilin was sworn in as a Knesset member. He should have had his passport and identity card confiscated, in and during the Knesset ceremony. He should have then been escorted to the Karni crossing with a one way ticket to his soulmates and possibly there he should be sworn in to the " Palestinian Parliament " where he will be applauded and appreciated. Israel, please wake up, please remove the blinkers from your eyes. We are intelligent people with the capability of analyzing events. Why are we so hesitant.
65. nomore
Shlomo Felcher ,   Denver USA   (04.17.06)

You may find this press conference from 6 January 2004 interesting http://goldwater.mideastreality.com/pressconferencereport.html Where we together with some Swiss Politicians nailed Yossi's Geneva Initiative as an insult into the ground Read all the links - They are in English - M Own - and my politicians speaches. Israel should have given him then the Traitor ticket - why did they not ?
67. If Bibi were the leader no bombings in Tel Aviv
Ami ,   Ramat Gan   (04.17.06)
During the Olmert rule there wouldn't be bombing in Raman Aviv, and if Bibi or Lieberman were in power no bombing in the rest of Tel Aviv
68. To Ali #43
Roni   (04.17.06)
You're right - people should not live where they do not belong. Thus, you and 23 members of your family should pack up and get the hell out of london. Be wise and do the right thing - british taxpayers are tired from writing walfare checks to you and your kind. Bye bye!
69. There Will Be No Peace With Amalek
Israel ,   Israel   (04.17.06)
Destruciton of these Arab savages will bring us peace Become a Maccabee and rid these savages from our land. We are all settlers in Eretz Yisrael, we are all one people, fight or be killed, we have not waited almost 2000 years and recently a Holocaust just to be killed and to be taken out of our land again. NO LAND WILL BE GIVEN UP AGAIN AND IF YOU DO THIS WILL BECOME OF IT, MORE OF OUR CHILDREN WILL DIE
70. Global Sign
Moshe ,   Herzlia   (04.17.06)
If one is looking at the responses so far from the other side, and at the international involvement, then one will understand that this is more than a local battle. No other religion is praying war and terrorism, and by the way, if one will try to understand the islamic religion, one will start to understand that the terrorists that are calling themselve the holy warriors do not understand their own religion. And yes this is saying something about the way they are looking at this world and at other people other religions. The world has to wake up, and understand what these terrorists want, and that for nothing in this world they will stop their terror attacks. As long as suicide bombers will be glorified, as long as hate is part of the education system in islamic schools, as long as these people will not value the life of their children and people not to speak anout other lifes, nothing will change.

KAPARA   (04.17.06)
go back to where we came from you say? I can't, its against the law to return land to the jews in iraq, punishable by death. My aunt can not go back to Lybia either, my uncle can not go back to syria also. What should we do now. Should we learn to live wih the results of the wars the arabs started against israel? I have. Maybe its time the palestinians did as well.
72. #59,
KAPARA   (04.17.06)
you are a moron. stick to a subject you know something about, if any. For you to even assume that hamas, an organization sworn to the destruction of israel, would do anything if they did have money to protect israelis just shows your stupidity and liberal silliness. And to blame the pro israel lobby.....how pathetic. We are at war. Grow up, ya ahabal.
73. There should be no comments allowed

74. your are right
nora ,   rome, italy   (04.17.06)
every word is right, much to my regret. Europeans still do as if they do not understand. After all it happened in London and in Madrid and they still do not open their eyes.
75. Tel Aviv Bombing
Raymond ,   South Africa   (04.17.06)
I blame this on weak kadima coalition gov. infighting & looking after self interests, instead of putting Israeli vitizens , especially Jews 1st.Its time for zionistic ideals to come back & all these arab terrorists to be hit hard without any compassion.Wake up Israel, they wanna destroy us.Didnt we say "NEVER AGAIN" after last holocaust.Did we mean it or is it just brave words.
76. # 6 Roni
Ginette Golden ,   Toronto, Canada   (04.17.06)
I am with you 500%!
77. #57 Farouk, you piece of c%^&*, Israelis target civilians?
AK   (04.17.06)
Where? When? You not only murder the Jews, you slander them, as well. There are no equivalent "both" sides, only Islamic terrorism in Israel and around the world. There is nobody else brutal and inhumane like you, period. Israelis are far too gentle with you; I wouldn't be. I hope, Olmert recovers desire to win or the Israelis replace him pronto with a leader who doesn’t hold the Israeli blood cheap and prefers winning to losing.
78. #59 Arik, are you praying 5x a day towards mecca?
AK   (04.17.06)
Anybody who supports terrorist group, Hamas, like you do should be on the NSA's to do list.

80. Fundamentalism does this.
Emma ,   Israel   (04.17.06)
I have no doubt that tonight there'll be a retaliation by IDF. I don't think Israeli boys - they're only 18 after all -should be sent to deal with problems that only the government can solve. So to those in the knesset - stop messing around about who's going to be minister for what. Get to work, do something to stop this! You've been chosen and must act accordingly. Sending the IDF is the easy way out to appease a certain section of the Israeli populace, but it's by no means the best way to solve the conflict. To the Palestinian government - stop wasting your resources on terror and start feeding your people! Stop bringing up children to hate us, and start teaching them peace. This situation is horrible for both sides - you suffer as much as we do. But you ca't put all the blame on us. You can't expect us to entirely ignore it every time our citizens are hurt. It takes 2 to tango, and to have peace.
81. shawarma stand
Baruch ,   Sweden   (04.17.06)
What was a shawarma stand doing open during Pesach in the "Jewish state"?!
82. RE#68 RONI
Jon   (04.17.06)
Ali is absolutely right. If U owe some money to aperson , he will demand U to pay it back to him.In your case, U are owing but U are stealing lannd and terrorizing innocent people.
83. 81 Baruch,Sweden: shouldn't you rather question Terror
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (04.17.06)
instead what was open or closed ? what is your concern here - Life or an open or closed shawarma stand get your priorities right
84. response to #14, Ali
Dug Graves ,   Chicago   (04.17.06)
Ali, You sound so naive and stupiud that you would make a fine spokesman for Hamas and other slime. You sound like a character in a Dr. Suess book, your commentary cartoonish. If you want the real invaders of Palestink to leave, I suggest you remove the arabs. How Germany fits into your warped equation is unknown. Ali, how could palestine be occupied when there was never such a country in the first place? Ali, when the arabs had control of the entire so called west bank from 1948 to 1967., why didnt they give their pali "brothers" a state then? Why arent you blaming the arabs who sold millions of dunams to the Jewish United Fund, throwing tens of thousands of fellaheen off the land? Why did arab money lenders charge such usurious rates to their own arab brethern tillers of the spoil that they " lost all, unable to pay such extortion? Ali, I would also like to know exactly when palestink was ever an independent state with its capitol in Jerusalem; I await your answers, then have more questions for you.
85. The War Zones
Marvin Goldfarb ,   Brooklyn, NY   (04.17.06)
Those people killed and wounded shouldn't have been there, like the innocent Palestinian men, women and children who are killed and wounded by IDF attacks in the IDF-made war zones of Gaza and the West Bank. Israel, too, is a war zone where everyone is fair game if they choose to stay there. The only way for Israelis to protect themselves against Jihadist reprisals is to get out of the war zone - for good!
86. to 81
Emma ,   Israel   (04.17.06)
It was open because Judaism isn't just a religion.
87. ISRAEL TARGETING CIVILIANS????
Arik Silverman ,   Milwaukee USA   (04.17.06)
The London Times report on this terribie act of terror said that the family of the bomber had started moving furniture out of their home, assuming the IDF will demolish it. ISN'T THE DEMOLITION OF THE FAMILY HOME TARGETING CIVILIANS? The family was not given a trial, there is no evidence they knew their son was planning this. Why should they be punished? DO YOU REALIZE HOW HORRIBLE THIS HOME DEMOILITION IS TAKEN IN WESTERN COUNTRIES? ISRAEL LOSES SUPPORT EVERYTIME IT DEMOLISHES A HOUSE.
88. #87 Israel doesnt need west support
(04.17.06)
The only person they need is their trust in Has*em. No more western chains, maybe if they started trusting G-d instead of the west they'd have less dead children.
89. AK #77
Farouk ,   Jerusalem   (04.17.06)
Be civilized in your talkbacks. In all of our conflict IDF never targeted civilians?, not even one time by accident?. Not even once. AK innocent people die every day in the Palestinian areas, you may be too far to see that or to closed-minded to admit it, but yes they are targeted intentionally. What do you call a checkpoint between two remote west bank cities? A checkpoint that is insignificant to Israel's security is it ...may be punishment to a civilian population there? People have died and will continue to die at checkpoints. This happens daily in a place not considered active military area. It is a different story when an area becomes military active, innocence is obscured because it is a fight against terrorists ……..all 3+ million of them in the Palestinian areas. From the 3 month old breast feeding terrorist project to 90 year old scrapped and fully depreciated terrorist. If it happens it was a mistake all the hundered civilian deaths, all of them where mistakes. You must learn that punishing an entire population (targeting civilians) will not bring submission. Where in history has that happened, tell me. AK we both Israelis and Palestinians have had our share in murdering innocent civilians. But many unlike you do not have different definitions of innocence (us and them) nor justify wrong acts by feelings of righteousness. Today an Israeli mother has lost a child, she will never understand why, yesterday it was a Palestinian mother and it goes on and on tomorrow and the day after. These mothers, like their children die a slow personal death, alone in their grief. While you and me move on to the next talkback as if nothing happened
