You complain of the number of resolutions that have been passed by the UN regarding Israel. The vast majority are Chapter 6, meaning that they serve as advice rather than as instructions. This fact aside, perhaps you missed the last line of this article. No condemnation of yesterday's attack was passed by the UN - because of Qatar. How many other resolutions even vaguely sympathetic to Israel have been dismissed in similar circumstances? So please, do not badger us with criticism of Israel in the UN, a body that does not offer an objecive reading of the situation.

There was no partition plan of 1948. It was from 1947, and it was a General Council Resolution, meaning that it was not binding on either side. Therefore, while the Israelis accepted the terms of the partition plan that you 'cry out loud' about, the Arabs felt free not to and felt they could get better results than the UNGCR offered them. They started a war to remove the Jews from here. They were surprised to have lost, and by 1949 the armistice agreement led to recognized boundaries for Israel. There were, however, never any recognized boundaries for Palestine as the Palestinians never agreed to accept any negotiated boundary that permits a Jewish state living side by side in peace with an Arab state. Hamas and the PLO are the same now, and will give Palestinians much more to "cry out loud" about. For 6 decades the Arabs refused to recognize Israel and they invented the PLO and the 'Palestinians' as a separate national movement within the overall PanArab one to rid the ME of Jews. Hamas is only stating what the PLO and Arab League has always meant, but hoped to achieve by other means. I would rather they state the truth, because I have many Jewish brethren who are too naive to understand that the Arabs mean us NOTHING but harm unless the Arabs are explicit about their unarguably genocidal tendencies.
