I can only imagine what kind of relationship Israel and Iran could have if the mullahs were not in power.

Thats the rub! In Iran and all over the world for centuries there has always been a natural empathy and respect between Jews and Iranians even until recently. Until that is - that puffed up little megalomaniac flew on to the scene. Well historical bonds are stronger than one mans warped ambitions and view of the world. The Iranian people are not that gullible to swallow the crazed nazi ravings and filth of one individual lunatic. And one who is slowly stealing away more and more freedoms and liberties of ordinary Iranians in the name of his idea of Islam. Sooner rather than later he will be consigned by the people back where he belongs into the dustbin of history.

The same old stupid Israeli dream of eating humous in Damacus. Now its Tehran. Not only are Israelis stiff necked but obviously the have substituted matza balls for brains.

It definitely won't be menioned in the western media because Iran must be demonized to the greatest extent possible just the way the Palestinians usually are. The western press rarely reports on Palestinian deaths, or the brutalities suffered under the Israel occupation. Unfortunately, it gives Americans a very narrow perspective about anything, only what the media wishes for the public to know. For this reason, I commend the Israeli press for its far more balanced and open reporting which makes the press in this country look absolutely ridiculous. Even the very tiny Jewish community that was left in Iraq and protected by Saddam Hussein went absolutely unreported in this country, and when he was in power, that community felt safe. The fact that he had even helped them to rebuild a temple was never reported on.

The Western press is virulently prejudiced again the Jewish state. This is especially so in Europe where Israel virtually never gets a fair hearing. That 750,000 Jews were ethnically cleansed and their property stolen by the Arab states also never gets a mention. And whatever Saddam might have done for the Jewish people the reality is that he was a genocidal monster every bit the equal of a Stalin and a Hitler. Whether one believes in the invasion of Iraq or not, it cannot be argued that his loss of power was a very good thing for all of humanity.

FACT: The majority of the Iranian population is under 20 years old and totally opposed to the Ayatollah regime in control. Poll after poll shows these people to be in favour of western contacts and a normalization with Israel preceeded buy the removal of those in power. Israel would do well to foster these contacts, assist the youth, and train and fiance a revolt from within. Given the extent of the hatred the youth have for their government in Iran, the rewards would be substantial not only for Israel, but the entire world!
