How can I celebrate?    Eran Sternberg
1. Whiny settlers... Don't celebrate !!
Why celebrate if your heart is not in it? Instead of GETTING OVER IT , you people just continue to sulk in self-pity. Who cares??!! Just accept that you cannot force the will of a minority upon a majority. THe state of Israel is alive and well and if thats not enough reason to celebrate... then don't. You only alienate yourselves more and more...

3. A question to the "orange" camp
I've asked this question many times and never received an answer from the "orange" camp. What solution do you propose? The Palestinians far outnumber the Jews in Judea and Samaria. They are not going to just get up and leave, and we cannot demographically afford to absorb them into the population. So aside from the fact that these are your homes and our land, what practical solution can you suggest?
Navi   (04.30.06)
4. Edan
I suggest that you show some respect to the people who make up 50% of our army's officers and combat soldiers (with the rest being the druze) while your children are probably jobniks with a 6 : 1 at the best and getting released on 21 mental at worst, and I suggest that you show some respect to the first zionists, yes yes, since before the secular bolsheviks hijacked zionism (along with other things) there were religious zionists from Yemen and Russia (I bet that you know the stories about Bilu). And about your minority-majority argument, you had better face the facts, we seculars make up no more than 40% of the population, 60% of Israelis are orthodox, religious or masorteem. As for your question, who cares? I, for one do care when citizens of my country, even if they are, god forbid, Jews, are being mistreated and feel alienated from the rest of us.

5. stop complaining!
You are responsible of what happened. You moved to an area where lived 1,3 million of palestinians, you took 30 per cent of the land and 30 per cent of the water while being less than 1 per cent of the population.. and you are surprised that it was not viable? wake up!

6. #5 There are billions more non Jews than Jews
Should we leave the Earth, and live on the moon. Give me a break, you dont leave because there are more people than you, there are billions of more nonjews than jews, because of this fact, should we all together leave Israel. They have 20 other Arab countries, we have one thats as big as New Jersey. Leave us alone

8. To Navi, a Response
The reall issue Navi is that ntil you are willing to "give back" the Mishulash and parts of the Negev & Galil, the "demographic" problem of 1,500,000 Arabs WITHIN the Green Line will continue to haunt you! But bottom line, if it is okay for 1,500,000 Arabs to live within Israel, why is it such a crime for 250,000 Jews to live in Judea & Samaria - outside your "Security Fence"?
Yoel Ben-Avraham ,   Shilo, Benyamin   (05.01.06)
9. Hey Navi (#3) - you wanted your question answered
You say you can't get an answer to your "demographic problem". It's only because you believe Sharon's Arab population figures. And Sharon was using Arafat's numbers. Former Ambassador Yoram Ettinger led a team of professional statisticians and did a study which showed there are only 2.41 million Arabs in all of Yesha, whereas Sharon said that there were 3.83 million. And the Arab population is DECREASING, as all Arabs who can leave are leaving due to the corruption and destruction of the economy that Arafat wrought. Using these figures, and INCLUDING Gaza, (and Judea and Samaria) there is a 60% Jewish majority, and without Gaza, there is a 67% Jewish majority. There you go, you finally have an answer, and now there is NO REASON to remove any Jews from there homes (as last summer's Expulsion has proven to be a complete economic, diplomatic and security flop.) So take these numbers to your friends!!!

10. The amount of arabs increases due to occupation
Ever since Israel captured Judea, Samaria and Gaza the Palestinian population of those areas is increasing. Leaving those areas might bring this to an end. Suddenly Palestinians can't rely on modern Western Healthcare. Suddenly they have to fend for themselves. It is thanks to the Israeli occupation and all the improvements which came with it that the Palestinians grew to such large numbers. Those areas might not exactly become deserted but whoever thinks Palestinians are interested in creating a country is mistaken. Eventually many people prefer not to live in a place where their kids could be talked into becomming living bombs. The border with Egypt is wide open...

and please provide sources for the numbers you quote. Surely the study is available online somewhere?

12. fascinating omission
did you notice that in all these settlers claims, they never, never refer to a minute detail, i.e the existence of the palestinians. Yes, wake up to the real world : Gaza is an overpopulated slum of which you grabbed 30 per cent for growing strawberries and flowers...

14. To yaakov ,Judea
Rather the goyim than you yaakov. Hell I would prefer the pals to your bunch. Never trust a group that turns on it's own to the extent you guys have done. Remember who fired the first shot in this " war "of ours yaakov ? Hint, it wasn't us and it was 10 years before Gush Kativ.

15. Secular Sabra strikes again
I have pointed out elsewhere that SS is probably a French zombie. See http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3244498,00.html It looks like he hasn't learned his lesson fully, though, because he insinuates here that an Israeli who today lives across the Green Line is somehow implicated in the assasination of Rabin (Israel's worst-ever PM). But the reanimation process that produced a talking (sort of) Secular Sabra was not perfect. Here, he says "Never trust a group that turns on it's own to the extent you guys have done." WELL, this from an atheist who has just said that he prefers "Palestinian" foreigners over Jewish Israeli citizens. This isn't like SS's absurd deicide argument implicating all of Orange Israel in the Rabin assasination. No, this is SS urging us all ... not to trust people like SS, who have turned on Jewish Israel. For once, I agree.
