1. Inaccurate..only hope for a second Arab Palestinian State
David Landman ,   Boston, USA   (05.04.06)
IF the Palestinians dont want peace, STOP giving them anything. Stop talking to them. Finish the peace fence. They already have about 80% of the land promised to re-create Israel. End this experiment of creating a second Arab Palestinian state. As for Israel's survival? It is assured and thriving. Israel doesnt need to give away land to people trying to kill Jews to help. That only hurts and is stupid. Israel should help integrate its Arabs citizens better and also deport all citizens not loyal to the state. All citizens should be required to serve in the IDF. If there are concerns about real loyalty, make sure ALL citizens swear an oath and keep potential threats with lower levels of high tech equipment. Israeli survival is assured and always has been. Now that Israel has been re-created it will never go away again, and no people on planet can ever change that.
2. Helping one's enemy ((snort, chortle))
Yoel Ariel ,   US   (05.04.06)
Too funny for words. Almost. The author of this bit of verbal flotsam suggests waving a magin wand, and POOF!! Olmert the potititurd dressed as Harry Potter turns Abbas into Arafat. Resurecting Abbas would do the same thing. Here is a real clever, heretofore secret maneuver. If your enemy is drowning, do NOT throw him a life perserver. the anchor will do nicely. With Fig Leafian Abbas around, it comes down to the radical Hamas which cannot sustain the so called Palestianians, which the entire PA fails, which means that they have to scramble to survive rather than annoy Israel and kill Jews. If they ((Hamas)) screws the pooch sufficiently, the "people" will practice their well known lynching skills on the "leadership". Help them? Why?

Hey baby, making people starving will have a terrible impact NOT of Jews but on all the region.Imagine if the US takes a decision to kick out illegal mexicans out of the US, they gonna blow up them selves in your faces, U will not imagine that these guys would serrender easily. They are 100% sure that Israel is behind all these problems hence they know whom to target......
4. Middle East peace
Freedom Fighter ,   USA   (05.04.06)
After all the years of war between Israel and the Arabs, it still amazes me that some people simply don't get it. Negotiations have failed, and always will..because there is no will among the Palestinian government, either the Hamas version or the Fatah version, for peace. There is only a desire to eradicate Israel. To negotiate, to end the conflict would take away the entire rationale of a second Arab Palestinian state. Arafat realized this, so should Dr. Baskin! The central `issue' in Middle East peace is the inability of Arabs to live next to Jews in peace and equality..except in Israel itself, where they are a minority. Ask yourself: since 1967, Israel has given away acres of land and made numerous concessions - has any of it brought `peace' any closer? The fact is, there is no economic, geographical or legal basis for a second Palestinian Arab state. These areas were simply a dumping ground for refugees created by the Arab attack on Israel in 1948 whom the Arab nations declined to take responsibility for. They left that to the UN and Israel. The first fable Israel appears to have disabused itself of, based on the recent elections is that peace negotiations with the Palestinians is possible. The second fairy tale to disapear will be the notion that Israel can wall itself off. When that happens, Israel will hopefully realize that it is in an existential war and take meaningful steps to end it. www.joshuapundit.blogspot.com J O S H U A P U N D I T
5. #3 Delusional observer!
Ram ,   London   (05.04.06)
The scenario described by #2 is not wrong considering he is talking about an enemy. Of course, Israelis, because of their compassionate hearts do tend to give the Palestinians more rope than they deserve. Undoubtedly this is neither appreciated by the Palestinians nor the likes of you. The preposterous supposed threat of them blowing themselves up even more than they are trying to now is nothing but a delusional perceived power by the likes of you and them. Remember, if Israel decides to take the gloves off, "Palestinians" can be disposed off in a blink. Therefore, your/their best bet is to pursue the course of peace. Salaam
6. #3-silly assertions
Jerrilyn ,   US   (05.04.06)
No, my friend, if Mexicans were kicked out of the US, they would not blow themselves up as you expect. They are Catholics and as such will not blow themselves up to receive 72 virgins like some other religion.
7. Numero tres, ??Que tal??
Yoel Ariel ,   US   (05.04.06)
Re:#3's comments. Mexican Illegal ailen: "Suicide Bombers? We don' need no steekin' suicide bombers!" It does show, however, that you have no real knowledge of eithr regional politics or of the illegal immigration problems of the US or of the character of 90 +% the Mexicans seeking the goodies in el Norte. They do better under the worst possible conditions in the US as illegals than they do legally employed((when they are))in Mexico. Mexicans are looking for the improvement to their lives and the lives of their families, not a useless death. But,.....have a nice day anyway.

13. direction of new israeli government
hopefull ,   phoenix usa   (05.07.06)
In history the Diaspora Jews were never considered a full citizen of any country that they lived in even into the 20th century. Americas leadership was extremely divided in recognizing the yet to be established modern day Israel, General Gorge Marshall, the then chief of General Staff for the United States Armed Forces, the architect for the rebuilding of the vanquished Germany, that enterprise was known as the Marshall Plan. General Marshall was at that time completely aware that the Jewish survivors of the Holocaust were considered Stateless persons with no country willing to even grant them entry without a sponsor let alone citizenship. General Marshall was fully informed of the plight of the just freed surviving Jews that they were re-interned into guarded concentration camps on Cyprus, this time guarded by the British army one of the American allied countries involved in the 2nd WW. General Marshall, campaigned vigorously against the United States recognition of the State of Israel, without such recognition, Israel would never have been granted the right of self government, General Marshall even tendered his resignation to President Harry. S. Truman, if such recognition was forthcoming from the United States. Prime Minister Eric Sharon (may he speedily recover) was know as a Jewish historian, It is told that during one the many campaigns he was involved in his advance was blocked by a very strong force, he using his vast knowledge of Jewish history and the many battles that were fought, was able to encircle the enemy by an unknown desert pass used by an ancient Jewish battle. PM Sharon, having the knowledge that Israel and only Israel can insure their survival was known as a hawk, and never compromised in dealing with issues that involved the survival of Israel. Many Israeli citizens and almost the entire Jewish people living in the Diaspora were confused by PM Sharon’s almost a 180 degree turn around when he declared his decision to evacuate the entire Gaza areas and a large area west of Jerusalem . His motives were considered pure. His historical brilliance and his un-questionable military knowledge was used as a affirmation of his plan. PM Sharon having the charisma to influence others to his way of thinking was able to portray his plan as the only way in which Israel could live in peace. His plan was adopted unquestionably by the majority of the Israeli Knesset, and the Gaza was evacuated, then his plan was to further evacuate large area’s of the so called west bank. Maybe just maybe, PM Sharon was struck down by an ailment involving his cognitive thinking process, that this debilitating ailment was present in his system when he made the decision about his disengagement plan, and thus he failed to taking into account the unavoidable fact that any and all areas vacated by Israel instead of bringing a benefit of even a temporary cessation of hostilities only produced a complete reverse, Israeli leadership must take into account that any action or political decision made and implemented would be almost impossible to reverse, There is a maxim before you “cut measure twice” since after you have made your cut it is irreversible. I finish this thought with the following, May all decisions made by the people elected to lead Israel be for the right reasons and not for the personal gain or glory of any individual.
